Chapter Two:

When she felt Anna squirm, it brought her out of her thoughts, she looked down to the bottle was empty, she lifted Anna up, set her against her shoulder and patted her back to help her burp. After words she cleaned her up and changed Anna's diaper and clothes both of them went to bed together.

At an unknown time the door was unlocked then opened and Drew and Sofie entered with plastic bags and bulging backpacks, full of rations containing cans of food water and baby supplies.

Evelyn was startled awake when she felt someone's presence but she relaxed after seeing the familiar faces .She got up took the thing that they brought looking through them briefly then putting them in their storage space. Asked them of they were both hungry and fixed both of them a sandwich, after eating the two of them felt their exhaustion taking over then all of them went to bed.

They didn't even closed their eyes for half an hour when a pounding started making them feel as if the walls were shaking. They all got frightened but it was Drew who got his bearing back and jolted into action.

"Someone's trying to brake in and it's a group, hurry up hide"

"Oh God, did they follow us but we were careful",

"It doesn't matter take the girls and hide"

Quickly handing a gun to Sofie and taking out his own weapon he led them to a door which was a hidden passage to the outside, telling them to barricade it from the other side.

"No you come with us too, Damn it! I'm not going to run away leaving you here". Sofie cried, distraught.

"We don't have time, you've got to take care of Evie and Anna, no matter what don't make a sound don't open the door, if things go wrong take the girls and run".

Anna got agitated and started crying while Evelyn tried her best to sooth her, Sofie was worried out of her mind so she was hugging her sister who was hugging Anna. Holding on tightly to her gun Sofie gathered her courage, even as her heart was breaking as her home for a decade her safety and the man she loved were all about to be lost, hoping, wishing praying that thy won't be able to enter. She was jarred by the sound o sudden gun shots a few moments later there was a grunt out side there door where Drew stood guarding then heard a body slamming to the ground with blood seeping through the crack under the door.

Peeping through the keyhole they saw that it was Drew who had fallen and now lifeless .Sofie was choked up and couldn't even scream or they would give away their positions Evelyn was sobbing while holding Anna who was wailing again. Coming back to her senses Sofie grabbed Evelyn by the elbow and started dragging her to escape.

They always hid the jeep in the bushes camouflaging it near the exit, they quickly got in the vehicle and peeled out of there.
