A sudden meet (Hyo Joo POV)

four people sitting across from each other at a hawker table. two of them were drunk.

"Hey, why are you being so pretentious huh? just because you're taller than me doesn't mean you can look down on me. I'm still your brother" Han said drunkenly, his face completely red

"Then why? How about you? You also often underestimate me because you are a little smarter. I am your younger sister" Nana who was drunk also replied

Bom and I could only be stunned by the bickering between these two twins. not enough when sober even they also fight when drunk.

in the end, Bom and I helped them both to get home. Bom helps Han, while I help Nana. these two brothers had to go home so they could fully sober up.

The taxi we ordered finally came and took them both away.

"ah, so tiring" Bom grabbed his shoulder

"Luckily Han didn't throw up on my clothes" Bom laughed wryly

I just smile bitterly

"Hyo Joo, when will Hyun Jae come back?" Bom asked as we walked back towards the dorms

"It was supposed to be yesterday, but his sister wanted to go home with him to Korea. So they postponed the schedule until his sister recovered from surgery"

"oh, it's been quite a while. that kid really" Bom said

"Haha, it's okay Bom. At that time it was urgent and Hyun Jae himself didn't think that his sister was engaged in London" I explained

"Are you alright?" Bomb asked

I stopped walking

"why?" I asked him

"It's just that it's been quite a while and he rarely calls. I even only got 1 call from him and it's been 2 weeks" Bom said

I smiled and said

"Thanks for worrying about me Bom, I'm fine"

"Thank you for dropping me off at the hostel. Take care. See you later" I waved at Bom

Bomb raised his hand and left.

Hyun Jae called me last night and asked me to check his apartment this morning. So I'll be there before going to work.

I take the elevator and walk to Hyun Jae's apartment. I punched in the password at the door. when the door was opened no one was inside. Of course, Hyun Jae is in London. I think my mind has drifted a bit.

I put my shoes in the shoe cabinet and hang my bag on the jacket post.

I walked into the kitchen to check if there was trash that still not throw out or if gas was leaking.

"Okay everything is safe"

I then walked to Hyun Jae's room. the room is clean and tidy, this room has not been occupied for 2 weeks, the room where Hyun Jae and I often spend time together to rest and tell stories. Our relationship has been around for a long time but we decided not to rush into anything. I walked over to the chest of drawers. on it are some pictures of the two of us. a photo of when we watched a musical with Hyun Jae's parents, a photo of when we traveled to a hot spring, a photo of when we celebrated our 100th day, a photo of us as student representatives, and a photo that Vivi took when we fell asleep on the sofa. This photo means a lot, I'm so grateful that Vivi took that moment.

"ah... I miss you so much" I mumbled to myself.

Then I tried to call him

I'm pounding just by hearing the dial tone

"Hello"

A woman's voice was heard, I thought it was Hyun Jae's brother.

"oh hello, unni. it's me Hyo Joo" I said

"Who? Hyo Joo? Who are you?" she asked

I'm starting to doubt if this is Hyun Ji's number

"Is this Hyun Ji unni's number?" I ask

"Oh, Hyun Ji. oh no, oh I'm not Hyun Ji, hm, I'm her friend, Jenny" He stammered

"oh sorry I thought this was Hyun Ji unni's number," I said

"wa...it..."

Then I heard a male voice behind him and it was Hyun Jae's voice

he was asking who? Then Jenny answered Hyo Joo. Suddenly the phone disconnected.

I stand alone in Hyun Jae's room, confused.

I walked to work with a broken heart. why is the call disconnected, even though I already heard Hyun Jae's voice?

because of daydreaming, I didn't realize I bumped into someone, I reflexively looked down and apologized without seeing the face of the person I bumped into.

"Are you okay?" he said with a soft voice

I just nodded while looking down.

I then went in and changed clothes, but half of my mind was still not completely calm.

I only worked for 4 hours but it felt long.

I walked to campus to attend class. there I met Nana who was wearing a mask.

"hey" he waved

I sat beside him feeling uneasy.

"what's wrong with you?" Nana asked

but I didn't want to say anything so I changed the subject

"why are you wearing a mask" I ask Nana

"my face is swollen, it can't be helped," Nana said

we took classes for 1 hour and I don't even know what I'm studying.

Nana goes to lunch with Bom while Vivi and Song are in the library studying together. I wanted to take Hong Joo to lunch together but she has an impromptu class. I walked to the mini market within the campus area. I'm not in the mood to eat alone. I just want to eat some bread and buy a bottle of drink or juice.

while waiting in line I was daydreaming again. until someone said softly

"Sorry, but it's your turn, come forward," He said

"oh sorry," I said

I paid for my groceries and trudged out.

someone then called me

"Excuse me, the one wearing the black jacket

the boy jogged towards me smiling.

"Thank goodness you haven't gone too far," he said with a smile

"You left your wallet at the cashier counter" He handed me my wallet

"Ah, sorry. I was careless" I said

he smiled faintly

"Looks like you're not well," he said

"oh" I was surprised

"we've met twice today. and you like daydreaming" He laughed a little

"Sorry," I asked a little confused

"You bumped into me this morning," he said

"I'm sorry, I was really in a daze today" I lowered my head

"I've returned your wallet, treat me," he said

I just put on a confused face while he smiled broadly

"Come on, I want to eat in the cafeteria" he invites me who subconsciously follows him

We sat in the cafeteria together. he ate the kimchi fried rice while I ate the prawn fry.

"thank you," he said

"Oh, yes" I awkwardly replied

"I'm Hyun Min from theater major," He said

"I'm Hyo Joo from business major"

I said

"yes, you are my junior," he said

"I know a little about you because you are a student representative. I just came back from military service and continued my studies. It feels very foreign because I don't know anyone here anymore" he said while eating voraciously

"Fortunately I met you" he smiled

"Again I say sorry and thank you," I said as we walked into the campus area

"Never mind, you already treated me. How about I treat you back for being my impromptu friend" he said as he pulled me off campus

"Where are we going?" I asked

"a person who is sad should eat sweets," he said and pulled my hand so that I was half running

not far from campus we stood in front of a small cafe.

"This is my friend's cafe," he said

he pulled me in

"Hi, long time no see. give me a cake that can make someone's heart happy" he said innocently

"You come here and ask a strange thing. who is he? your girlfriend?" Hyun Min's friends laugh

we were still holding hands, I wanted to let go but then Hyun Min raised our still holding hands and said

"Of course" He smiled and winked at me

Hyun Min's friend handed us 2 cakes, a chocolate cake, and a strawberry tart. I hesitate to bribe him.

"Please eat, I will talk to my friends. Enjoy" Hyun Min said

when Hyun min away I tried the cake and it tasted really good. I then accidentally met Hyun Min's eyes who were chatting with his friend.

I then realized

"what am I doing," I said in my mind

I then stood up and grabbed my bag.

"Thank you. I'm sorry" I then didn't wait for Hyun Min's answer and rushed out of the cafe

"Why don't you go after him?" Hyun Min's friend asked

"Should I?" Hyunmin smiles

Hyun Min knows very well that Hyo Joo has a boyfriend. there's no point in grabbing Hyo Joo right now. I ran back towards the campus and the dormitory. I entered the room and sat on the floor leaning on the bed.

Even though I'm new to him, my mind wanders, but I've been traveling everywhere with Hyun Min. I even felt a twinge when I met her eyes. This is insane and out of control. I can't do this.

meanwhile in London

Hyun Jae hits the wall

"Stop, that won't solve the problem," Hyun Ji said

"Right, let's find a way out together" John advised

"I'm really stupid and this isn't the first time. And this time I'm sober. How can I be forgiven?" Hyun Jae sits on the sofa feeling uneasy

John and Hyun Ji looked at each other. they didn't know what to say either.
