Where the Nightmare Happened

The house was swarming with policemen by the time Dexter and I arrived. This will be a challenge to them. The sudden rain had destroyed or washed away any trace Ray and Eva had left. I am not confident in trusting the police. Never was. 

I have learned the hard way that they were biased when it comes to justice. 

I strode inside the house, my heart frantically beating. To think that they would stoop this low just because Eva was cut from the Madrigal connections. Had she lost her mind and let her need to take over her rational mind? 

Then again, with the things that Dexter told me this afternoon, I was expecting something simple. A blackmail maybe. But never to this scale. 

I saw Fujin lying in the middle of the living room. I ran as soon as a paramedic put him on the gunnery. Shet! Bringing him to the hospital would be more problematic. I needed to stop them.
