Julie Madrigal was a mother of two children. Once she was legally separated from her ex-husband, she went to the only place she felt safe. The Scottish Highlands. Then again, she had only seen the place in books and videos, but the land called to her. And she wasn't expecting love. Duncan McLaren was the current Laird of the land. He was charming, helpful, and the epitome of a perfect man. Yet he hides a secret that would destroy the very thing he hold dear to his heart. Meeting Julie was kismet and he would gladly give up everything to be with her and the kids. But will love be enough to keep her? Or will the past destroy everything?
I was tired.
Visiting the Aston Building and an impromptu book signing was something I did not expect when Mike sent an SMS this morning.
Word had spread that Nicolette Claude was in the Philippines. The publishing company where my books were printed and Madrigal Pub had somehow collaborated.
The result was several orders of books that I needed to sign and maybe, just maybe an impromptu book signing sponsored by the pub house within this week.
Signing at least forty books today was, gads. I leaned my head on the car's headrest. I looked at the rearview mirror. We were going to take home two boxes of the new book that my publisher had released. The thought of writing my own name made me groan in frustration.
This is what I hate about being a writer, the book signing, and the events that I needed to attend in person. I really hate them. But, it was something that I had to endure.
