Chapter 4

Emily got home super tired and late from the party, "Oh, Carly is probably going to sleep over at that guy's place", she thought. As she was about to shower, Carly entered the house, smiling from ear to ear. Emily was surprised to see her that same day, "What happened to you? You didn't like him? How come you are back already?", Emily asked all at once. Carly squealed in delight as she blushed like a child, "I think I found a boyfriend", Carly said with excitement. "Really? What happened? Give me the gist", Emily bursted with excitement as she knew Carly has never been interested in anyone for the past two years, since her last break up. "Gosh, babes, I don't even know how to start, but well, his name is Caleb, he's 28. Was born and brought up in Canada, moved to London last year, he has shares with WHILLZ auto company and he has his own clothing brand." "He sounds like a good catch, so how was the conversation in general?", Emily asked. "He took me to a quiet bar not too far from the hotel, we just sat and had drinks while we chatted. He clearly didn't want to hit and run, he striked meaningful conversations and took my number. He said he wants to get to know me and then we see where that leads us. We have a date later today so I need to get some good sleep", Carly said as it was already past midnight. "So Emily, did you see anyone that caught your fancy?", Carly asked mischievously. "No not really, but as I was about leaving, a cute guy named Joshua took me to a restaurant, we ate Mac and cheese. He even ordered milk", Emily snickered. "Awe, how cute", Carly said laughing. "Well his friend was another case, I must say I've not seen such level of hotness in a long while. He is so dangerously handsome and cute at the same time, with really intense silver eyes, even his hair is silver, how rare. He's really built too", Emily rambled dreamingly. Carly looked at her lost friend with concern and laughed, "I thought you said no one tickled your fancy, looks like you fell in love in one night", Carly said mockingly. "Did you exchange numbers?", "No, I only gave my number to Joshua, the friend didn't even seem interested in me and honestly, I don't really care", Emily said, deceiving herself once more. "By the way, his name is Callum", she added, "That's a sexy name you know?", Carly said cunningly. Emily wasn't going to fall for that so she just ignored the question, "We need to sleep now, I thought you had a date later today?", Emily asked, successfully dodging Carly's interrogation. She went immediately to shower and sleep, getting ready for work the next day.

"Hi, I'm Mia Levin, nice to meet you", Mia introduced herself to Callum. Callum was at the meeting with his future wife to be, he was still trying to wrap his head around the fact that he is to get married and to the person sitting before him. "She looks like trouble", Callum thought to himself, "She's not bad looking I guess", he thought again. Mia kept staring at him, hand still stretched to shake him, "He's hotter up close, but why is he leaving me hanging, looks like he doesn't find me attractive", Mia thought dejectedly. Callum soon realized the situation and returned the hand shake, "I'm Callum Williams, nice to meet you Mia", he replied feeling embarrassed, "What a good way to start an introduction", he thought and sighed heavily. "He's bored already, wow how rude", Mia thought as she heard the long sigh. Callum looked at Mia to understand what she actually looks like, she's the typical blonde girl, with an eye catching body, and she looks like someone capable of drawing attention, definitely not his type. "She even has lip fillers", Callum thought in judgement, he was scoring her body from head to toe, she wore a really revealing red shirt and a tight pencil black skirt with a really high slit at the back, revealing a lot of thigh. " Did she really think this was seductive, how clueless", Callum scoffed in his head. He had not realized that 30 minutes has gone and he has not uttered a single word, he was just looking at Mia in so much judgement and she knew he didn't like her. She didn't let it get to her because she knew the marriage was already signed so he has "no choice", she thought.

"So what do you do?", Callum asked reluctantly after 10 years of judgement. "I'm a model, I model for big brands, but I just recently secured my position of director in my dad's tech company", she replied, rather boastfully. "Typical snort kid", Callum scoffed in judgement in his head. "That's cool, pretty cool", that was all he could say, but Mia felt like he praised her so she couldn't help but feel rather fly. Callum looked at her in disdain, "I can't work with this, she's too much to handle", Callum thought as he could not wrap his head around the fact that he has to marry such a person. "I obviously don't need to ask you what you do, because you literally own WHILLZ now, and its going to be official as soon as we get married, and I'll make sure you get what you deserve as your wife. I'll be a really good wife to you, you'll see", Mia affirmed with so much pride and confidence. Callum felt sick in the stomach, "Where was this person brought up? Can someone be this clueless?", Mia just looked like an entitled spoiled child and Callum hated those kind of people. "So, hypothetically, if I'm to come back home one day and I was beaten up by unknown people on my way back, what would be your reaction?", Callum asked. Mia looked confused and wondered why he would ask that kind of question, she really was clueless. "Why would you be beaten in the first place, your dad won't even allow that, and also you have security so obviously you are protected. If you are to come back beaten up, then we have to fire the security on duty, because obviously they don't know how to do their job", Mia replied with confidence. Callum had already given up on the date, "She'll clearly be a menace", he thought sighing in disbelief. "But I don't walk around with security, so how about that?", Callum asked, "What? Why in the first place would you walk around without security? Given your personality, you should not be without security", she looked around the restaurant, "So you are trying to say there is no security here as we speak??", she asked obviously irritated, "You don't even care about my safety, and for the fact that I'm going to be your wife soon, my interest and my safety should come first for you, I should be your top priority", she said with so much audacity. At this point, Callum was barely holding it together, "What a bitch!!", he thought. The fact that she ignored the question at hand and made it clear that she didn't care about him was enough proof that he could not proceed with such marriage, "You haven't really answered my question, what would be your first response to my beaten up self?" "Well, given that there's no security, I guess we would have to rush you to the hospital, to ensure your safety", she replied, obviously irritated. Callum already saw that the conversation wasn't going to head anywhere good, "I'm done here".....
