Chapter 2

Callum you have to get ready, come down from your high horse for once, you won't get laid in your villa. At least just follow me to the party, let's party the stress away , tomorrow is Sunday, you will have all day to rest and chill." Joshua continues to pester Callum to agree to go to the party. Joshua is Callum's best friend since their childhood, and he's the only friend Callum has. Callum Williams is the only son of Mr and Mrs Williams and he's the heir to the multi billion auto company. He had gone to read his father's will that day and it stated clearly that he had to marry to gain access to the wealth and companies. Callum has been trying to process the whole information, he doesn't even believe in love, talk more of getting married. He has always believed marriage was a sham, as his father had gotten remarried last year, right after his mother's death. And he knew his father was already in an affair with the other woman before his mother died as he had seen them "in action" before.

Now, Joshua is trying to convince Callum to go to the party with him, because it's one of his friends that is celebrating his birthday. "I don't see the need to waste my time goofing off in a noisy environment, clashing bodies with drunk individuals, I'm not interested." Joshua wasn't going to give up easily, he had to do something that he knows would wake Callum up. "What if I propose a bet?", Joshua knew Callum loved challenges as Callum's face shot up, "And what is the catch?" "If you find a girl that would make you want to get laid, you owe me ten thousand pounds." Callum looked at him, "And what if I don't find anyone?" "Then you can ask me for whatever you want, because I know it won't be money." Callum grinned evilly, "There's this wrist watch I saw yesterday, I said I would get it when I have the time, its just five hundred thousand pounds, that's what I want." At this point, Joshua wasn't breathing well and Callum laughed more evilly. "That is literally half of my life's worth", Joshua cried, Callum went to the shower to get ready for the party feeling fulfilled. Joshua silently prayed for the first time in a really long time because he knew Callum wasn't joking.

They arrived at the party and Joshua left Callum to go and see his friend, the celebrant, " Try to talk to people at least, don't stand here like a security guard ", Joshua nudged Callum ahead. Callum reluctantly moved to the party ground looking around and drinking a bottle of beer.

Emily had already freshened up so she didn't need to shower again, Carly had already showered, so it was time to pick out an outfit. Emily of course didn't have a party wear because she was not a party person, she honestly planned to put on a fitted shirt and some skinny denims, that was the best she could come up with. Carly looked at her in judgement, "Don't bother, I already have a dress for you, I saw this through don't worry", Carly said, as she proceeded to her wardrobe to get the dress. She brought out a deep blue short dress, it was really short and cute with a floral pattern as the hand, it was one handed and armless

with a cute flay. It really complimented Emily's deep blue eyes and auburn hair, the dress fitted her perfectly. Carly was really proud of her choice of outfit and nodded in pride. "Now I know the perfect shoe to finish this look", and she proceeds to bring a silver strap heel, making Emily to sigh in disbelief. Emily liked the outfit but she doubted she would be comfortable in the shoe. She is not a huge fan of heels clearly, but Carly turned a blind eye like she didn't care about what Emily wanted. Carly styled Emily's hair in loose curls after packing it in a down ponytail, then she selected some silver jewelry to go with the shoe. A simple small necklace and earrings with a bracelet and a silver hair pin. Emily did some light make up and she looked like a totally different person, Carly was so proud of her pretty roommate. "At least I know we'll be getting some attention, you are definitely an eye turner right now", Emily felt like Carly was exaggerating and just laughed. Carly wore a black skinny short dress that was shiny, with some slightly heavy makeup and just a large earring as the dress was armless. She packed her hair in a high bun and wore a black and silver bow stiletto heel and a silver purse. Emily also had a silver purse, giving off the vibe of a cute innocent lady, while Carly gave off the vibe of a dangerous hot lady. "Don't we look a little too much?", Emily asked out of concern. Carly laughed, "Don't worry, we'll blend right in trust me. They went in a cab because Carly was confident she would either come back wasted or land in someone's bed. When they got to the party, it was showtime finally, even the cab man stole glances because they were looking too good and smelled really good too. As soon as they stepped into the party, a lot of eyes were drawn towards them, "See? I told you we'll blend right in", Carly chided mockingly, snickering in mischief. Emily wished for the ground to open up and swallow her, she was not enjoying the attention. Some guys whistled and some girls even came up to them, "You both are so gorgeous", Emily blushed bright red, she has never been complimented by any female apart from her roommate, "Thank you", she said shyly. Carly blended in immediately, it's not like they looked different, everyone dressed extra and expensive too, but they were natural beauties so it made them stand out . Carly went to get drinks while Emily just waited on the counter, avoiding the hungry gazes of the men there.

Callum was already getting bored so he was about to tell Joshua he has won the bet because he wants to head home. As he finished his last drink and about to head out, he heard the whistles and wondered what was going on. When he saw the cause of the attention, he was stunned for a moment, he saw Emily standing next to Carly, he wondered if such a pretty person still existed in real life. He sat back down on the counter as he saw they were headed towards him. "Two martinis please", Carly made her order while Emily sat down and waited. Joshua came rushing towards Callum, "Did you see those beauties?", Joshua asked. Callum pointed toward where they were sitting, "The red head is pretty cute isn't she?", Joshua asked referring to Emily. Callum nodded without realizing, "She is really pretty", this response shocked Joshua. "I won, you saw a girl you like", Joshua exclaimed, Callum looked confused then came back to his senses, "I think she's pretty, doesn't mean I like her", he snapped and walked out of the party, heading straight home.
