Linking arms with Henry Russell, Charlotte Cooper looked at the hustle and bustle of the airport, and the familiar language and skin color made her feel warm. She nudged Henry's waist and asked, "You've been abroad many times, do you still feel a sense of warmth every time you come back?"

Shaking off Henry's teasing hand, Charlotte ignored him with a snort.
