Chapter 19

It was a while later that Romeo joined her at where she stood in the yatch.

"Am sorry" he muttered as he pulled her close.

"What are you doing? People are watching" she said as she looked around them to see some of the female employee starring at her with envy.

"They already know about out relationship though I would have want them to know that we are married too" he muttered still holding onto her.

"Why did you say you are sorry?" She asked.

"You didn't want people finding out and yet they did. I don't know how the news got to the reporters and that's why am sorry" he replied.

She turned to stare at him before hugging him.

"It's not your fault and am glad you showed up at that time. You were like my knight in shining armour"she said.

"I really hope you tell me that again when we are alone" he whispered into her ears which got her laughing.

"No regrets about today?" He asked and she shaked her head.

"Am glad that everyone knows. It would have been a huge burden trying to keep it from everyone. The guys knows and also Charles....." She stopped and he gave her a look.

"Charles what?" He asked waiting for her to finish.

"Well Charles confessed his feelings to me today" she replied.

"See! I told you that he likes you and am glad that he now knows that you belong to me" Romeo said with authority.

"Are you that jealous?" She asked exulting in that fact.

"Of course. I hate the thought of him being interested in you. You are mine and mine alone" he told her.

"I feel the same way too. I hope you won't give those flirting girls a look too cause you are mine" she told him in return.

"I love the way you said that and you know that I really want to kiss you right now" he said moving close to her.

He would have kissed her if it hadn't been for the Caleb intrusion.

"That's enough for now love birds! It's time to Party!" He said as he moved to pull Romeo to where the other employee were dancing and having fun.

Romeo had told them not to mind him being the boss and that they should treat him as a friend and that's why Caleb was being friendly.

Marie stood watching as Romeo attention was taken by most of the guest. Her gaze drifted towards Charles who was drinking himself drunk.

She felt sad seeing him this way but she couldn't do a thing cause she couldn't reciprocate his feelings.

She was heading to the rest room when she felt someone arms around her.

"You don't want me out of your sight don't you?" She asked as she pulled the person close.

"I don't" the voice that gave a reply wasnt that of Romeo but that of someone else entirely.

Quickly she pulled away only to see Charles starring at her.

"Charles" she called only for him to pull her into arms.

"What are you doing?" She asked trying to move away from him.

"Can't it be me? Can't you feel the same way back?" He said drunkingly.

"Charles I...." She couldn't finish her words because he kissed her lips.

Marie was still trying to push him off when she heard Romeo voice behind them.

"Get your hands off my Wife!" He said harshly which got Charles letting go of Marie immediately.

THE RETURN 

~STILL AT THE YATCH ~

"Yo...you....Your.... wife?" Charles stuttered.

"Yes my wife!" Romeo replied as he pushed Charles away from Marie.

"But you said you two were just dating" Charles said.

"I said so but the fact is that we are more than that and I hate it when people touch what belongs to me. So scram while am giving you the chance" Romeo said.

"But I...."

"Do you perhaps want this instead" Romeo asked as he made a fist with his hand but Marie held him back.

"Please Romeo. He is drunk" Marie told him.

"Am going to pardon you and that's because you are drunk but am hoping that you leave before I change my mind" Romeo said and immediately Charles scrambled off.

"Why? Why did you let him do that?" Romeo asked as soon as Charles had gone.

"He took me by surprise. If I had seen it coming I would never have allowed him achieve it, I know how you feel and I will feel the same way if I caught you with another lady " Marie told him softly.

"Do you know that you have a way of sweet talking me?" Romeo asked jokingly and she laughed out loud.

"I do hope I keep on doing so" she replied as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I have something for you" he said as pulled her wedding ring out of his pocket. "Now that we know of our feelings it's only right that we have it on" Romeo said as he put the ring on her finger.

"I only took it off because you took it off first, I didn't mind wearing it to work but when I read the news about you, I took it off out of spite. Am sorry" she said.

"I should be the one apologising. I caused you so much pain when I left. If this will make you feel better you ought to know that I travelled back to Paris in the wee hours of the morning just to get my ring back" Romeo said

"Serves you right but still am happy. We are wearing the ring for the right thing and we love each other. Kiss me!" Marie initiated.

"Here? You know I won't be able to keep my hands off you" Romeo muttered naughtily.

"I don't care! I just want to kiss you" Marie said which he obliged her.

They were still kissing when they heard someone clearing his throat a distance away.

Marie pulled out of Romeo arms to see Willow standing a distance away. 

"Willow!" She called excitedly and without thinking, she ran into his arms happy to see him.

"Are you that happy to see me?" Willow asked still embracing her.

"Of course! I thought your long holiday will never come to an end" Marie replied.

Romeo cleared his throat and quickly she pulled away from him.

"How did you get on the yatch?" Romeo asked as he wrapped his arms around Marie pulling her to his side.

"Let's just say have been on it before everyone got on board. I was going to tell you of my arrival today but...."

"You don't have to explain yourself willow, am just glad that you are back and work will begin soon. Remember that I need my personal guard around " Romeo said which got Willow smiling.

"I will remember that" Willow replied.

"Is it me or do I think that something has changed between you two?" Willow asked.

"It has. You see I found out recently that Marie loves me just as much as I love her" Romeo said..

"Well am happy for the both of you but what about Develene....what will you do about her?" Willow asked which erased the smile off their face.

"There's nothing I will do and if she does comes back, I won't ever look her way" Romeo muttered starring at Marie whose eyes were shining with love for him.
