Chapter 2

'This v-voice... n-no... it can't be... its h-his.. it's L-Liam's v-voice'. Kiara stared at him. Her heart beating rapidly.

"I am 15 years old, I came from New York. I transferred here due to family problems and I hope we all can be good friends." said William.

Kiara just sat there her eyes wide open while looking at William. She didn't know why but she was sure that It was Liam's voice. She wanted to confront him but decided to do it later. She sat their bewildered. She looked down at the floor and thought about many possible things. 'What if I'm wrong, what if he's not Liam' 'Will I really not be able to see Liam in my whole life?' 'No, what if it is really him, what shall I do?' 'Should I ask him where he go? Why he left?'

Maby who was about to go outside and line up saw Kiara sitting on her seat her lips were pale and she was sweating. She went to Kiara. "Kiara, what's wrong? Are you okay, are you sick? Do you want me to bring you to the clinic?." asked Maby worryingly.

"I'm fine Maby, don't worry about me, let's go line up outiside" said Kiara while smiling at Maby. Maby was a bit hesitant but just followed Kiara outside.

They walked towards the covered court and went to their designated area which was on the left side of the stage. The loud chatter and laughing of students can be heard throughout the covered court. It was 5 minutes before the starting of the Flag Ceremony.

The Flag Ceremony is conducted every Monday on the Morning. It is a time where students will sing the National Anthem and Raise the Flag of the Country. It is also the time where the student recite the School's Mission and Vision and sing the School Anthem. The Flag Ceremony is also the time when the teachers or the principal will announce something important. Today's Flag Ceremony is quite important because it will serve as an opening for the School Year.

Kiara who was standing was still thinking of whether to confront him or not. She looked at William who is talking with Eeyan, Jasper and Cymoun. William who was talking to his new classmates felt like someone was looking at him. He turned his head around and saw a girl who was approximatly 160 cm tall, her hair on a ponytail looking at him but he was not able to clearly see her face. He smiled and faced his new classmates and continued talking with them.

Meanwhile Kiara who was looking at him was shocked when William turned his head and looked at her while smiling. She quickly turned around and averted her gaze to Maby.

The Flag Ceremony started at exactly 7:30 AM. The students started singing the National Anthem while the Flag was raising. After that the principal; Maam Brenda walked to the center of the stage and started talking, "Welcome Students of Lumbia Regional Science High School to another School Year. I hope that you all had a graet summer vacation. This School Year will have more activities and programs than the previous year. I don't memorize all of the programs and activities but I am sure that we will have an Aqqauitance Party, Science Camp, Math Bazaar, RS Days and the new program Club Day. I hope that we will have another memorable school year. God Bless all of you students and have a nice day."

After Maam Brenda spoke the students started reciting the School's Mission and Vision. The Flag Ceremony ended by the students singing the School Anthem.

All of the students went back to their respective classrooms. When Kiara arrived, she directly sat down, plunged her earphones and listened to Liam's music. She closed her eyes and started thinking about William. 'Should I ask him?' 'What if he denies it?' 'His voice is really similar to Liam's' 'Ahh, I'm gonna ask him its now or never'. When she was about to stand up and confront William their adviser Maam Christy went inside the classroom.

"Okay students since it is a new school year we will have a new seating arrangement" said Maam Christy. "Nooo!!!" The students groaned in annoyance for they will really miss their old seatmates.

"For it to be fair, I prepared a jar with papers that has numbers on them. Pick one paper from the jar and find the desk with the same number on the paper. If I caught you changing papers with another classmate, you both will only be the one to clean the entire classroom later after class. And I'm not joking." said Maam Christy.

Maam Christy is a loving and understanding teacher but she is so scary when mad. She is only like that when the classroom is so dirty. The last time she was so mad at the students, she made all of them clean the entire classroom until it was shinning. No one was able to go home until it was done.

Kiara brought all her things and went to the front. She picked a paper from the jar and looked for her designated seat. When she found her seat she put down all her belongings and sat down. When she was about to look for where Maby, Luisa and Ella was sitting she was startled by a voice and almost fell down her seat. "Hi!!, Oh are you okay?" It was William. Kiara was so shocked that her new seatmate will be William.

"I'm William, you may know me already I have already introduced myself earlier this morning, You are?" said William smiling while reaching out his hand.

'This girl she was the one who was staring at me during the Flag Ceremony' thought William. He was sure it was her because of her hairstyle and the color of her hair tie which was blue. Her back is also similar to that of the girl.

"I am Kiara Garcia, I'm the same age as you. Nice to meet you William" replied Kiara while reaching out her hand and shakes hands with him.

When William clearly saw Kiara's face he was stunned for a moment. Kiara is really a beauty. Her hair as black as the night, its naturally wavy and tied up on a ponytail. Her skin as white as snow, her high-bridged nose, her heart shaped lips and her brown eyes framed by perfectly long lashes and thick eyebrows.

"Um-mm, can I ask you a question?" said Kiara while was facing her desk. She was going to ask William if he knows or if he is Liam.

William came back to reality and replied "What is it?"

"Are-ee yo-ou, I-II mean do you. N-oo, a-aare you". Kiara didn't know why but she was stuttering, maybe from nervousness. She was scared of what she will find out.

"Are you what? HAHAHAHA Your stuttering. You know you look cute when you stutter." said William while laughing. William doesn't know why but his heart starts beating fast.

Kiara turned red from what William said. "N-never mind just pretend that you didn't hear anything" said Kiara.

"HAHAHAHAHA, okay I won't force you" replied William.

William was about to ask Kiara why she was looking at him during the flag ceremony but Maam Christy spoke. "Okay today we will be electing our new class officers. I want all of you to elect a person with an outgoing personality, who is not afraid to take responsibility and works hard. I hope that all of you will nominate and vote wisely".

The election of officers was very lively. People were discussing who to vote and who to nominate. The election took a couple of hours. The officers are as follows;

After the election of class officers it was lunchtime. Kiara decided to tell Maby about William being Liam and to ask for her advice. Out of all close friends Kiara has Maby is the only one who she knows that will give her good advices. She went to Maby who was on her phone.

"Maby are you busy?" asked Kiara

"No, why?" replied Maby

"Um, Maby you remember Liam right?." Maby nodded her head.

"Our new classmate William sounds like him, his voice is similar to his. I may sound crazy but listen" she picked her phone from her pocket and played one of Liam's songs.

"There voice is really similar, have you asked William about it?" asked Maby. Kiara shakes his head.

"Why don't you ask him?" asked Maby

"I'm scared" replied Kiara.

"Kiara don't be. I know that you are brave. Tell him after class or you can tell him now. Your seatmates. I may have met William just today but just by looking at him I know he is a kind person. And after you ask him about it and you feel sad just tell me I am here for you" said Maby while smiling.

"Thanks Maby your the best, I will ask him later after class" replied Kiara.

The both of them talked about different kind of stuff until it was already time.

In the afternoon the students were oriented again about the school policies and the subjects that they will be learning this School Year.

After class Kiara cleaned the room with all her classmates. After cleaning she left her things on the classroom and walked her friends toward the gate of the school. She bid her good byes to them and went to look for William. 'I hope that he hasn't left school yet' thought Kiara. She saw him sitting in a bench near the cafeteria. Kiara smiled.

'Okay Kiara gather up all your courage and confront him know. You did not do it earlier this morning but now you must do it. Go ask him if his Liam, Now go'. Kiara was about to walk towards William when she saw a girl around 14 years old hug William. She doesn't know why but she felt like her heart shattered. She watch as William rubbed her hair while smiling at the girl.

Kiara went back to the classroom and sat down on her chair. She is the only one left in the classroom. She sat there thinking, 'So he has a girlfriend' 'Of course, he's handsome, he's intelligent, he's friendly' 'Many girls will like him' 'Why do I feel sad, it's not like I like him.' 'Maybe its because he sounds like Liam' 'Sigh, okay I'm not gonna ask him. I'm sure his not Liam. He only sound like him but he's not him.' 'There are many people who sound alike in this world'.

Kiara stood up and she put all her belongings inside her bag. She roamed her eyes around the classroom to make sure it is clean and to check if someone from her classmates left anything behind. She locked all the windows and cabinets. When she was sure that there was nothing left behind she went outside and locked both the front and back door.

She walked towards the gate while texting her big brother. "Brother where are you? I'm heading towards the school gate". She plunged her earphones and listened again to Liam's music.

When she arrived at the school gate she recieved a text from her brother. "You go ahead, I'll be going to the mall to buy some school supplies. I've already texted dad. By the way tell them that I'll be eating dinner outside"

Kiara walked down the narrow road and when she arrived on the main road she saw her dad already waiting for her. She went to her dad and hugged him.

"Who's your day?" said Khristopher.

"It's fine dad" replied Kiara.

"Let's go?" said Khristopher while smiling.

They went inside the car and drove of to their house. "We're Home" Kiara announced when she entered the living room there she saw Kyle playing with his toys. When he saw Kiara he crawled to her and shouted. "Sista". Kiara went to her baby brother, picked him up and kissed him on the cheeks. She handed him over to their father. "Dada" said Kyle when he saw Khristopher. Kiara turned her head to the left and saw Keith busy playing with his phone. She went to him and rubbed his hair.

Kiara went to her bedroom and put down her bag. She changed her clothes and went to the dining room and there saw her mother serving dinner. "Mom let me help you" said Kiara. She picked up the plates filled with food from the kitchen and placed it on the dinning table.

"How was your day?" said Katherine

"It was fine, oh by the way mom Big Brother is not going to be eating dinner with us. He went to the mall to buy some stuff for school and decided to have dinner there." replied Kiara

"Oh okay, call your dad and Keith we will be having dinner." Kiara nodded her head and went to the living room. She told her dad and Keith that they will be having dinner. They went to the dining area together.

When they arrived Kiara sat down and started eating. During dinner she told them about her new classmate William and about being elected as the vice-president of the class.

When they finished eating she helped the maid clean the table and went to her room. Because of what happened that day she played the piano and sang one of the songs she made for Liam. While playing, she thought about William who has the same voice as Liam. She thought about the girl who hugged him. She close her eyes and tears started to fall. Her heart starts to ache. She played the piano until she felt tired. She went to bed and instantly fell asleep.
