"I had to pay a hundred before the guard allowed me to make a phone call. That sly bitch thinks she's won." Said a female inmate. Stephanie and a bunch of other inmates were in the laundry room, washing a bunch of their clothings. Most of the inmates already had their group, so Stephanie was alone, struggling with her belongings. She was at least glad that the priosn had washers and dryers that could be used. She couldn't imagine how she'd wash her clothes without them.
"They all act like that. One day, they'll come crawling to us." Stephanie couldn't help but snort.
She knew that a lot of inmates made secret calls to friends and families. Some had cellphones, while some called through a guard's phone by paying them.
