FORGIVENESS

Khanza was so moved when he saw ratna. He has been forced to bind his hands because of several violent outbursts and near injury to other patients. Hearing news from arman made him take the initiative to go with arman to the mental hospital to visit ratna.

"He's poor, man," he says a softly.

"You don't have a grudge against him, za?" said arman with a frown.

Khanza exhales slowly.

"Anger, disappointment is assured, man. But, that was the first time you chose ratna over me and the kids. I thought of ending my life and our two children. But then I thought of what? Will ending your life solve all problems? Instead, I was dealing with an even bigger problem. As time went by, I was far more willing. And, I assume we're not meant to be. It's okay, maybe god does want me to be strong and to raise our children well."
