Chapter 16

Alex POV

There was a knock in my door.

Who's that? I said.

It's me big bro Annie said.

Annie what are you doing here? You should be at home I said standing up to open the door.

I know. I got scared so I came to stay with you she said.

Hmm are you hungry?

Yes big bro. What about Jenny? Is she at home? she asked.

She's here. Her gate was locked so I decided to bring her here I explained.

Where is she?

At the second floor, the first room. Make sure to eat I said.

Okay big bro she said before leaving. I got back to work and after some minutes she knocked on my door.

Annie what do you want? Aren't you suppose to be sleeping? I asked.

I don't feel like sleeping. Come downstairs she said and I could hear her footsteps fading. I left what I was doing and came downstairs. I saw Jenny seated.

You're still up Jenny I said surprised.

Yes, your sis refused to let me sleep and told me to come downstairs so here l am she said.

I didn't say anything and went to seat on the couch far from her. Annie came out from the kitchen with a bowl of chips and she sat down.

Why I called everyone here is because I wanted us to play a game before we sleep. It's called big bro and Annie game. You have to choose out of different options which is the correct answer if a question of big bro or me is asked.

Jenny POV

It was a fun game and this made me know a lot about Alex and his sis. Annie told me to write my questions and give options while she and Alex guess. I did that and l was happy that he could also know something about me from this game.

I had never seen him smile at all from the first day we met. He had always been showing cold faces which one could get scared off so seeing him smile now made me a lot happier. We decided to watch film and the first to sleep was Annie leaving us alone.

I couldn't believe we had our first conversation. It was nice and sweet.

lf you were given a wish, what would you possibly wish for? he asked.

I will wish to find true love I said.

It will come to past and I bet you will be the most happiest woman on earth he said. I smiled and was happy to hear him say that.

What of you? I asked.

To have a peaceful live but I know it can't happen he said.

It will. I'm pretty sure it will happen l said as I held his hands and we stared at each other. I rested my head on his shoulder and we continued watching the film. I finally slept off.

Alex POV

Seeing her sleep in my arms made me forget all my worries and think about this beautiful girl that could steal my heart on a first day or maybe second day.

I gently put her to lay on the couch and carried my sister to her room to sleep. I got downstairs to carry Jenny when my sub conscious told me remember you can't love and even if you love the woman she won't want you again if she finds out who you really are.
