Jenny POV

The waiter came and served us the drinks we asked for. Other waiters came serving us different dishes and we dug into it.

After eating Annie told me we should dance which l agreed. We got to the dancing floor shaking our body to the rhythm. Soon the cake was cut by the birthday man and everyone sang a birthday song to him. Alex was giving us some distance and when l looked at him all I saw was an angry lion ready to kill.

He's always like this when he's forced to leave his work for something Annie said.

Ohh, I understand that feeling but he should bear it. it's only for a day I said.

He can't bear it and he works with time so...you won't understand, let's just forget about it she said.

l nodded my head and we continued listening to the birthday man. Different presents were given to him by people including Annie. I was the odd one out but what could I possibly give a rich billionaire.

Alex was already gone and l kinda felt sad that he didn't say goodbye to us but it's not like he should do it. Ahhhhhh Jenny stop this you're doing. I can't believe I have turned to Tasha now. This man was hard to resist but I have to resist him anyways before I become like Tasha or even worst than her.

Jenny let's go she said.

We got outside and saw Alex on a call. He courted it as he saw us. Let's go was all he said. l could sense he was still angry so I obediently followed him. l was going with Alex because Annie is going somewhere this night.

She told her brother to make sure I got home and saw me entering my gate before she left. l got in the Porsche with him. He sat at the side same with me and there was a distance between us.

None of us talked or said anything to each other. We stared at the window pretending that no one was in the Porsche.

Alex POV

Just seeing her cleared away my angers but I had to put on that looks for my own reason. She was going with me and I had mixed feeling. it was like I was happy and not happy at the same time but as we have it l was in the same car with her.

We refused to look at each other nor talk to each other. I stared at the window and l could smell her scent. She smelt nice. My phone rang and I picked it up. My face change suddenly to how it was "cold and filled with angry flames"

Send men there to check it and find that bastard that tried to mess with me I said before courting the call.

Jenny POV

l stared at him and I could feel or should I say smell something dangerous is it his aura or the angry face I'm seeing right now.

Are you alright? I asked concerned.

Miss Jenny let's just stay the way we were before he said coldly before facing the window. My gaze went back to the window
