I wanted to run to safety, but my feet stayed glued to the ground. Sweat started to pour down my body as the screeching came closer. In the corner of my eye, I saw the figure floating towards me and, all I wanted to do was scream for help but: when I opened my mouth, no scream came. I looked around this abandoned town filled with nothing but fear to see someone but: I was alone with that. What will save me now? I looked around once more before dropping into the pile of leaves behind me.
After a while, I woke up in an unknown place it looked like it was a field but; I wasn't sure. I sat up and observed this new environment. There was a forest to my left and a field o my right. What stood out the most was an enormous mansion in front of me. The walls had moss all over it and, the windows were boarded up with planks. It almost seemed like I was in a horror movie. I looked up and realized that the sun was setting it would be dark soon but: I am in the middle of nowhere. I reached for my phone that was in my purse but, it was not there. Great! I mean what else can I expect from a psycho. I decided that I was unsafe out here and in there, however, going to that mansion could be my best bet because I don't see anyone around. I get up to my feet and walk to that fancy yet, hideous house. Before I step inside hesitate because I love horror movies and I know what will happen. I let out a sigh and slowly tip toed-in.
Suddenly, I heard something coming from the right. I knew that if I went that way I would be in trouble so, I turned around to leave but: when I tried to open the door it was locked. I was confused but not surprised I honestly, knew something like this would happen. I turned to the left and, quietly tip-toed to another room. When I stepped into the room, I saw couches and bookshelves covered with books and dust. I assumed this was the living room but: I didn't care what room it was I just needed to leave. I scanned the room for windows but: they were all boarded up. I let out a sigh and, I walked to the centre of the room, hoping to find something. I looked around once more, but there was no way out. I was frustrated and worried. I was hiding that with a facade because I needed to put on a brave face for myself. It didn't work and, I snapped back into reality because this was real and I was in danger.
"We were expecting you, Jo." My thoughts got interrupted. I turned around and finally saw someone. It was a young woman she had long curly blonde hair and big blue eyes. She was wearing a maids outfit; I assumed that she worked here. She looked a whole lot familiar and, she also sounded familiar. She smiled and motioned me to sit on the couch: I decided that I should do what she wants and, I sat on the couch. The couch was worn out and, the pillows were just fluff.
"Would you like something to eat?" The maid asks. I shake my head but: she insists. I nod and, the maid ran out of the room. I looked out the window in front of me and, to my horror, I see a man staring at me and smiling. He takes out a knife and starts to tap on the window. My heart drops into my stomach as he takes a rock and throws at the window. I shake uncontrollably with dread as the window continues to break.
"SMASH!" The window shatters into pieces and, the power goes out. My heart was throbbing in my ears, loud and irregular, but I barely heard it, for my mind was clouded with fear. I stared at the figure coming through the window. I immediately get up and run out of the room. I run up a long flight of stairs and, dash into a random room. I look around for someplace to hide and, I spot a secret door behind some boxes. I silently and swiftly move the boxes and, get into the secret room. I started to hear heavy breathing but; it wasn't coming from me.
