Chapter :-46 Saving the Witches (Part-2)

Nightingale jumped backward to avoid the blood which spilled out of the demon's body as the beautiful sword pierced it's heart. The surroundings went quiet as the gentle breeze gave them chills.

From the cover of shadows, a white-cloaked man walked towards the dead demon. Nightingale immediately recognized the person and hurriedly rushed towards him.

Getting down on one knee, her left hand placed on her chest she spoke while glancing at the unconscious Wendy.

"Lord please help my friend..!!! she has been poisoned by a witch and is slowly dying, she has also lost a lot of blood....."

Usually, she would first ask him about how did he found her and why was he here in the mountain at this time but currently her mind was too occupied by the thoughts of saving her only friend's life no matter the cost.

Kite complied and walked towards the unconscious witch. He knelt down and held out his palm to monitor her vitals.

A frown appeared on his face as he thought while gently placing the unconscious Witch's head on his chest.

'The poison has spread through the entire left portion but her condition is not life-threatening at least not yet.....the poison is slowly spread to the other parts but it will take some hours to completely destroy her neuro-system and kill her.'

'It looked like the person who attacked her just wanted to give her a warning rather than killing her, Nightingale shouldn't have left the witch as she could have cured the poison. I could do the same but not here, the required ingredients are back at the castle...'

He placed his palm over her heart and channeled his powers from the [Sun-domain] to slow down the poison and keep her warm.

"Cynthia...." he called out as she exited the shadows and walked towards him, standing beside him she asked in a respectful tone.

"Yes, Master....?"

"Talk Nightingale and her friend to the castle and have them recover, I will carry her to the hospital."

"Your wish is my command...."

A huge bird conjured out of shadows appeared beside Cynthia as she motioned Nightingale and Lightning to climb on it's back.

"Lord....please let follow you to the hospital, I must stay by Wendy's side...." Nightingale pleaded as she understood Kite's intentions.

He wanted her to recover her strength but she couldn't care less about her right now, she had to take care of Wendy.

"I have slowed down the poison using my powers but to treat her, I need to concoct some potion. There is nothing you can do to help her, if you followed in your current state then you will only hinder her recovery. Take some rest and then come to the hospital."

Kite looked at Nightingale and gently lifted the unconscious Wendy in a princess carry, a warm light appeared around his body which provided the unconscious witch with warmth.

She snuggled deeper in his embrace like a moth attracted to light. Nightingale struggled to speak as even she knew that there was nothing she could do other than recover. She bit her lips and walked towards Cynthia, Lightning looked curious and followed Nightingale.

"Head back to the castle and assist the other two...."

"Yes, master...."

The ground beneath Kite cracked from the pressure exerted by his legs as he disappeared along with Wendy. The sword stabbing the demon suddenly glowed with a bright light before suddenly blasting off to its owner.

Cynthia looked at the rapidly shrinking figure of her master as climbed the back of the back bird, Nightingale and Lightning followed her and also sat on the back of the bird.

The bird opened its wings, large wings. They took flight and steadily flew towards the castle.

"Will Wendy be okay....??." Lightning was a little worried for Wendy, she was the 'caring big sister' in their group and now she was being carried by someone who could be their enemy.

Nightingale looked at the rapidly moving white spot which was clearly visible, shining under the moon.

"Lord is someone you can trust....!?" Her tone was uncertain, can't blame her though...after all, she knew close to nothing about the person, Hell..!! she didn't even know how he looked.

Cynthia looked unhappy by their lack of trust in her master but she knew it wasn't their fault. After all, she too once doubted her master rather more than them but eventually, she understood that his intentions were in consideration of their kind soon these two would also understand it.

She silently looked towards her master and flew towards the castle along with the others.

Whereas back to Kite, he was traveling at an incredible speed while keeping Wendy warm and protected with his power. He had already decided on how he will make Nightingale trust him blindly, first he needed to gain Wendy's unconditional trust.

While it was certainly hard to accomplish this feat, Wendy was much more experienced than Nightingale and also much more cautious but it wasn't impossible to do so.

After all, he even had an over convincing her after all he was going to save her life along with her other Witches friends.

As a [Telepathist level-8 beyonder] of the [Dreamer pathway] his observation is not only limited to superficial details, but deeper into one's aura, Ether Body, or other mysterious domains.

The combination of the two allowed a Telepathist to precisely understand a person's thoughts as though they could read their minds.

In front of them, it is difficult to have any secrets.

They are able to read the superficial thoughts of others and can also stimulate their thoughts.

They know what kind of emotional reaction to show in the appropriate situation and know in detail what kind of expression and body language to react with.

Along with his [Reader level-9 beyonder] of the [Reader pathway], he knew it was only a matter of time until he achieves his goal.
