Chapter 162: Sherrif in Problems

Letting out a shaky breath, Fors sat down on the sofa and sank into its softness.

She looked up at the living room ceiling and let her mind drift.

On autopilot, she took a vial out of her purse and looked at it.

The liquid in it was a dark blue color, with blue bubbles in it.

Shaking the vial in her hand, the blue bubbles swirled and smacked into each other.

Her expression was a complicated one as she stopped waving the vial and held it in her palm.

"Don't drop it" Xio said as she entered the room.

Fors snorted in amusement and shook her head with a small smile.

"Even if I dropped it, it wouldn't break. These kinds of vials are resistant to drops and bumps" she said confidently.

"Are you willing to test that out?" Xio asked with a raised eyebrow.

Fors' smile tightened for a few moments before her head fell in defeat.

"No..."

Shaking her head, Xio approached her friend and carefully took the vial from her hand, and looked at it.

'This is the blood of Deep Sea Marlin...' she thought seriously as she looked at it.

The last missing ingredient for the sequence 8 potion, Trickmaster!

A while ago they had gone to pick it up at the place they had agreed with the Viscount Glaint.

Putting down the vial, she looked at the clock in the room.

'3:40 p.m...'

'There are still more than 4 hours left until nightfall and the moon rises...'

The advice Holmes had given them with <Don't promote at night> had echoed in her head every night before she went to sleep.

She had never seen an episode of Fors but if the ravings were dangerous enough for Holmes to have the 'courtesy' to warn them then it was very, very serious.

Taking her gaze from the clock, she glanced at her friend and her brow furrowed in concern.

Fors kept looking at the ceiling of the room with a flat expression.

Sighing, Xio walked to the sofa and sat next to her friend. Taking her hand and squeezing gently, saying in this way that she was here.

Fors only moved her head enough to see the worried face of her best friend.

"You will never have to put up with this on your own again, I won't let you." Xio said seriously.

Seeing the conviction that emanated from Xio's green eyes made Fors chuckle softly.

Chuckle that quickly turned into a loud laugh, so much so that Fors brought her free hand to her mouth to try to stifle the laughter.

"Hehe If you could see your face..."

This only made Xio frown in annoyance but before she could say anything Fors beat her to it. "I'm not going to die."

Xio looked at the serious and determined face of her friend.

Fors' blue eyes shone with a great desire to live.

"I'm not going to die." she repeated, squeezing Xio's smaller hand as she placed her other hand over her friend's.

Green and blue looked at each other for a few seconds.

Xio let out a soft smile as she placed her other hand on top of Fors's. Taking care to keep the vial tightly closed.

"As if I was going to let you in the first place." She teased a bit and this made them both laugh.

They laughed for a while at this silly joke, when they calmed down they returned to look into each other's eyes for another moment.

The first to break eye contact was Fors, who looked down at their hands.

She removed her hands from Xio's but not before grabbing the vial back.

Getting up from the sofa she turned her head and looked at her friend who was looking at her.

"Are you going to accompany me or not?" she asked with a teasing smile as she turned her head and went to her room without looking back.

She already knew that her friend would follow her.

Xio just smiled, she jumped up from the sofa and quickly followed Fors.

...

On a table were all the ingredients for Trickmaster's potion.

The stomach pouch of a Spirit Eater.

The Blood of a Deep Sea Marlin.

The essential oils made from Hornbeam.

The String Grass Powder.

A blossoming Red Chestnut Flower.

And the pure water.

"Are you ready?" Xio asked, she was standing next to Fors.

The blue-eyed lady looked at her friend, and letting out a trembling sigh, she nodded.

Neither said anything else, Fors approached the table and grabbed the vial with the pure water.

Using the tools they had to ensure the correct amount of Ingredients were made, Fors quickly concocted her potion.

First, the supplementary ingredients; 80 ml of pure water, 5 ml of essential oils made from Hornbeam, a blossoming Red Chestnut Flower, and 10 grams of String Grass Powder.

First, she placed the liquids and then the solids.

In the pot, the liquid was a blue-black color, with multiple dark bubbles that when they burst let out a horrible smell of rotten eggs.

Fors had entered a state of Cogitation before starting to prepare the potion, so her mind was serene and calm so she wasted no time and repeated the order from before starting with the liquid.

She grabbed the vial with the Deep Sea Marlin's blood and measuring it, she pour 20 milliliters of the blood in the pot.

This caused the liquid in the pot to turn more bluish but at the same time it began to boil.

The smell had gotten worse.

While that was happening, she grabbed a medium container and opened it, breaking the wall of spirituality it had.

Seeing the familiar purple stomach, Fors tossed it into the pot.

The effect was immediate, the liquid stabilized and stopped boiling, but it kept the bubbles, but these were special.

They were still bluish bubbles, but when they exploded different things happened, some released flashes of lights, small electrical discharges, wind, ice and mist.

The liquid had turned a bluish blue with white dots, like the starry sky.

Fors, still in a state of Cogitation, took a coin out of her pocket and tossed it into the air.

When it fell, the face was up.

Fors simply pocketed the coin and poured the finished potion into a cup.

There was nothing left in the pot.

Holding Trickmaster's potion in her hand, Fors looked at her friend, Xio said nothing, just nodded.

Fors returned her attention to the potion, thanks to the state of Cogitation her mind was calm and serene.

She didn't need to waste any more time so steeling herself, she raised the cup to her mouth and drank the potion.

The potion quickly went down her throat and into her stomach, the effect almost immediate.

Far and distant ravings sounded in her ears, ones she was all too familiar with.

She nearly dropped the cup, her brow furrowed deeply, veins pulsing on her forehead.

She ground her teeth hard and saliva dripped from her mouth.

Xio looked at this extremely worried but stayed stuck in her place, she knew she couldn't do anything or she could risk her friend's safety.

Fors would have to put up with this.

Shaky breaths came from Fors who maintained the Cogitation despite the pain those ravings caused her.

After a while that seemed eternal, the ravings got further and further away until they were no more than just murmurs in her ears.

Her brow had relaxed considerably.

Sweat dripped heavily from her forehead, but despite how much she wanted to lie on the ground and sleep, she maintained the Cogitation and began to control the excess of spirituality.

...

Opening her tear-red eyes, Fors looked down and raised her hands.

These too were covered in sweat and somewhat red.

She lowered her hands and closed her eyes, quickly reviewing the information the potion had brought her.

'Fog, Wind, Flash, Freezing, Tumble, Electric Shock...'

Opening her eyes, she turned her gaze to Xio who looked at her with concern.

She just smiled weakly and nodded.

"I'm a Trickmaster."

As soon as she had finished pronouncing the R, Xio was already hugging her.

...

They couldn't rejoice too much about Fors's successful promotion because they had to focus on her recovery.

There were still several hours to go until night fell, at that time they focused on Fors resting and meditating to improve her condition.

In any case that today was the night of the Blood Moon, Fors could not go to sleep tired.

Luckily today it had not been the night and it had been a quiet one, Xio as always was the first to get up despite having stayed awake watching Fors.

After verifying that the blue-eyed woman was fast asleep, Xio went out to work.

Today the job was simple, taking care of the security of a small bar.

'Easy money~' Xio thought happily as she entered the bar.

...

Strong blows woke up an embittered Fors who while growling, got up from her bed and changed into a more presentable form.

"I'm coming!" she screamed in annoyance, she went to the door and opened it annoyed.

"Who's bothering at this hour?! It's 10..." her words died in her mouth when she saw 2 policemen in front of her.

"Hehe, how can I help you officers?" Fors asked awkwardly as she played with the stone on her bracelet.

"Sorry for the inconvenience, miss, but I have to inform you that your friend is being held at the Drity Street police station." one of the officers said seriously and Fors's face tightened.

"If you want to get Xio Derecha out, you'll have to pay a 50-pound bail." the other officer said and Fors's face turned sour.

'Xio!! What did you do?!' Fors screamed in her head in alarm.

After buying the ingredients, they only had a little over 20 pounds left!

They still had to take the Viscount Glaint to Mr. A's party tomorrow!

Remembering the Viscount made an idea come to her head, quickly dismissing the officers, Fors ran to her room and quickly wrote a letter and put it in an envelope she left home.
