Chapter 46 Peter and Jin

"Part 3 To Commence; Relay Stations will be opened and have a time span in which the Mecha Soldiers can recharge their batteries and health and power."

George and Peter smiled as there was something to finally do, the former wanted a good combat session and he latter thought he would finally get to let his Mecha Soldier run free.

"Final Scores will be given based off last man standing and performance skills"

Now George was ecstatic!

"Did you hear that!"

Ruuuuuumblleeeeee!!!

The ground shifted suddenly and Peter quickly slid away on the spinal belly of his Mecha Soldier.

Ruuuuuumblleeeeee!!!

Patches of sand fell in as sections of metal rose up then clicked into place, ome part at a time as if a scattered jigsaw piece thought to be make itself whole.

Ruuuuuumblleeeeee!!!

Parts moved, clinked, clanked and occasionally let out steam of air until a perfect disk of 50 meters in diameter was formed.

Ruuuuuumblleeeeee!!!

Finally, a hole on the ground opened up and as it expanded, the 50 diameter disk became 100 diameters at first.

Ruuuuuumblleeeeee!!!

In the end though, the disk seemed to return to 50 diameters because a cylinder of 50 diameters rose up from the ground and shot to the sky.

Peter stared at the structure and thought nothing of it except the urge to climb.

And climb he did.

He slowly approaches it, until he was sure there were no surprises. Then, he quickly climbed up. Surprisingly, thought it was vertical and smooth, he felt no resistance lile gravity or even friction.

Then a voice came from the station itself.

*HEALTH STATUS COMPLETE*

*AMMUNITION REFILLED*

*COOLING STATUS COMPLETE*

*COUNTDOWNS RESET*

*RECHARGE STATION REFILLS LEFT: 3*

However, while it had been speaking Peter was distracted as George who was pumping his fists in the air and laughing.

Straight ahead, like North-West and about 1,000 meters away, was what looked like a butterfly with a wingspan of 100 meters.

Its appearance shocked Peter as much as it excited George, made Nolan wary and Stone speechless.

ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRR!!!

Next, As if both George and Peter had subconsciously commanded it, their Mecha Soldier roared with a sound that crossed the almost instantly crossed distance.

Then, something else moved and Petr swiveled his head to see two more Mecha Soldiers each about 25 meters.

700 meters to its left was a Mecha Soldier which looked to have the rippling chest muscles of a human but also claws for hands as though a Dinosaur and began with a ne}ck, stopping at a waist.

Behind this Mecha Soldier was what seemed to be a Recharge Station and it tilted its chest that way as if acknowledging the Recharge Station's intelligence.

Finally, 1,500 meters to the right of Peter's, was yet another which began at the waist and ended in reptilian feet. Its tail was about 50 meters in length. This one forcefully plunged its tail into the ground and effortlessly balanced itself in the air with both legs crossed like some sort of sage.

Between it and Peter was yet another Recharge Station. But this one was not directly in their middle and actually diagonally a bit off.

Then, unexpectedly, Peter saw the Torso Mecha Soldier making signals with one hand first. On Balancing on that hand then surreptitiously pointing Peter's way before finally approaching.

"Standby," Peter instructed to the people in MRS-Skull4827 before slithering down the Recharge the station and then into the sands.

700 meters were quickly eaten up and the Torso Mecha Soldier stood before MRS-Skull4827.

"NOLAN I ASSUME YOU ARE IN CHARGE OF THAT MECHA SOLDIER."

Peter stared in between the meeting point of both breasts on the Torso Mecha Soldier's ripped chest where there was a square transparent screen which showed where Jin was.

"I ORDER YOU TO ACCEPT THE COMMAND OF MERGING WERE YOU WILL BE MY SECONDARY CONTROLLER AND THEN WE WILL MERGE WITH THE MECHA SOLDIER THAT IS ONLY A LEGS AND A TAIL."

Peter remembered that Nolan was not actually his team mate and actually felt a sense of loss.

"FINALLY, WE 3 WILL ALL JOIN TOGETHER AND TAKE CARE OF THE BUTTERFLY MECHA SOLDIER AT THE NORTH."

Now, though, Peter finally spoke.

"JIN, IT IS I PETER WHO IS IN CHARGE HERE."

It paused.

"DID NOLAN NOT MAKE IT BY AN ENEMY'S HANDS OR YOURS?"

Peter was about to kie it was at his but he got a request from Mecha Soldier MRS-Skull4827 that he was in.

*Tertiary Controller Wishes to take charge of Speech - *Accept* Or *Decline?**

*Accept.*

"GOOD AFTERNOON, DEAR BATCH LEADER. HOW ARE YOU TODAY?"

"NOLAN," it sounded surprised. "IS THAT YOU?"

"YES BATCH LEADER."

"CAN YOU GIVE ME A REPORT OR ARE YOU COMPLETELY HIS PET?"

"NO I CAN GIVE YOU A FULL REPORT SIR."

A pause.

"GO ON."

"FROM THE MOMENT YOU LEFT US, WE CARRIED OUT YOUR ORDERS AND WE APPROACHED BATCH 6 TO WIPE THEM OUT."

"WERE YOU SUCCESSFUL OR ARE THERE MEMBERS OF BATCH 6 IN THERE TOO?"

"BOTH ANSWERS ARE A YES."

Another pause.

"GO ON."

"SO, WE WERE BESET BY CUNNING TRAPS AND THE LIKE ONCE WE REACHED A 450 MARK. IN SUMMARY, WE WERE REDUCED TO ABOUT 100 OR LESS BY THE TIME WE WERE ABOUT 550 METERS AWAY FROM THEM."

"SO HOW DID YOU BECOME A PET OR BETRAY ME."

George made a request to speak to Jin directly and Peter laughed because he knew it was a provoking speech. Anyways, he declined in and the Batch 6 Leader grabbed his hair in frustration

"WE GOT 450 METERS IN AND THEN IT WAS A MINE FIELD BEFORE ANOTHER 100 METRES WHERE A FENCE SPRUNG UP AND WAS SUPPOSED TO KEEP US DOWN BUT PETER SAVED US ALL."

"SO, IT WAS BETRAYAL. DID EVERYONE AGREE TO TURN ON ME TOO?"

Peter interrupted Nolan. "SHUT UP AND LET HIM FINISH."

A pause and then Jin laughed.

"WHEN WE REACHED THE CAMP, PETER BAD CLEARED ALMOST EVERYTHING OUT. THEN, WE FOUND A HOLE AND 20 OF US JUMPED IN. BY NOW WE WERE NO MORE THAN 50."

Jin was still laughing.

"SO, WE WENT IN. AND WITH PETER LEADING THE VANGUARD, WE WERE ABLE TO GET RID OF ALL TRAPS AND OPPOSITION. THUS, WE ARE HERE."

Jin was clenching and unclenching his fists.

"SO, YOU NEVER DID DESCRIBE TO ME HOW YOU BECAME A PET THOUGH."

"LAW OF THE JUNGLE; WE FOUGHT IT OUT."

"OH, SO SHOULD I AVOID EVICTING YOU BY THE TIME I AM DONE WITH HIM?"

Peter had switched back to the speaker.

"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR TEAMMATES WHO WERE RUNNING IN YOUR DIRECTION?"

"OH THOSE ANTS?" Jin Scoffed. "IF THEY WERE RUNNING AWAY, THEN THEY WERE DISOBEYING MY ORDERS AND IF HEY WERE NOT OBEYING ME, THEY WERE USELESS."

"YOU EVICTED THEM?"

"I DON'T ANSWER TO YOU. NOLAN EVICT YOURSELF NOW OR RISK MY OWN WRATH!"

"NOLAN IS NOW A PART OF MY TEAM. ALSO I HAVE BEEN EYEING YOUR MECH SOLDIER PLEASE LEND IT TO AFTER YOU LEAVE PHASE 2, THANK YOU."

Jin laughed. "COME ON!"
