His Reasons (Part-1)

When Crystal had done with her crying she doesn't know when she has drifted to sleep. She has an ability that, if only she wants then only the pearls will be seen by others. So due to this no one can able to see those pearls without the consent of her.

The following morning came and she wake up with a severe headache but it didn't bothers her a bit. It's normal for mermaids to have a severe headache after a hard crying. But for her the main problem is how to deal with the lord today? Can she able to face him? She thought to herself. When she climb down from the bed she saw that the pearls are still there and also remembers that, in the hallway where she and Damien were talking there is also the pearls were fall down. So without wasting any time she casted a spell and due to that spell all the pearls are started gathering on the air in front of her eyes. Then she brought a glass jar and put all the pearls into it. She knew that these pearls can act as a source of medicines. So she thought today she will do her experiment with these pearls.

After that she headed towards her bathroom and does her morning routine and takes a long time shower. After that she wore a Purple colour long gown with her signature braid and with that she does a very light make up. Get satisfying with her looks she headed towards the dining hall for today's breakfast. She again didn't see the lord. 'Is he not coming for breakfast? What's wrong with him?' she sighed and asked Mrs Auris about Damien. She told her that he has already did his breakfast and waiting for her in the study.

"Ohh..." with this she quickly did her breakfast and headed towards the lord's chamber. She stood there for sometime and then calm down herself first then knocks on the door.

"Come in" a cold voice come out from the room. Then she slowly opens the door. She saw that Damien was reading something and don't spare her even a single glance towards her. She felt very dissapointed as well as very sad. She used to being watched by him all the time and she liked that feeling very much but now he didn't even take a look of her. What's really happened with him? Why he is acting like this towards me? She tried to comfort herself a bit.

"Good Morning milord..." She greeted him very politely, and then he told her just "hmm..." without looking towards her but when she saw he didn't said anything else and ignores her like a stranger she take it as a cue and made her way towards the table where she always prepared his medicine. After sometime she headed towards him and handed him the glass of blood. He drinks it in one go and put it on the table in front of him.

"You can go now Miss Crystal..." he told him in a very cold expressionless face. With that she bites her lower lip so tightly to control her tears that was threatening to falling down on her cheeks. She gave him a small bow to show him the respect as a lord and without wasting any time she headed outside with a very heavy heart and went towards the experiment room.

On the other side Damien was suffocating inwardly. He can't be able saw her in so much pain. But he has to do that only for her safety in the future.

[ Flashback ]

In the council room...

When Damien reached the hall with his mind full of Crystal's thoughts he didn't realised that the atmosphere around that room is stiff. When he came out of his thoughts only then he realised that the situation is not good. So he quickly composed him self and went towards his throne. Christopher also sit at the right side seat of the lord. All the council members bow him by showing their respects to him.

Then he starts the conversation,

"What's the urgent matter this time? Is everything alright?"

"No everything is not alright milord. Our kingdom is facing a mysterious problem all of a sudden. In city 'Aramoor' the citizens are facing a mysterious death. It looks like the person's soul has been sucked by someone very cruelly. All the body of the corpse are also turned white and their eyes becomes hollow, nose and mouth all are turned black suddenly. They became so thin that it seems like there is only their bone and skin were left." One of the council member named Richard told Damien.

"There is also a letter from the attackers who left it on one of the corpse. They said that they are coming for you milord and will again destroy you and your all beloved once like the last time." This time another council member named James told him horrifically.

By now lord Damien knew that who are those soul sucking creatures. And he vowed himself inwardly that this time he will surely destroy them completely. Then someone interrupted him from his thoughts,

"By any chance do you know who are they milord?"

"I think these are the soul sucking demons...but one thing I'm doubting how can they are capable of go against me? Are not they are the few in numbers?" Damien asked and every one seemed shocked. But no one has the answer of his questions.

By seeing their expression Damien sighed and at last give them a temporary solution.

"Now listen to me carefully, alert all the citizens of this kingdom that every one should stay in their home at night. Because demons are only attacking the people in the night. And also don't believe to anyone easily. Always try to finish their important works at day time only. And the main thing is don't wonder around the city lonely. Always try to go in groups wherever you want to go." Damien adviced to all of them and they all nodded in understanding.

"Christopher contact the great monk Avery now." Damien said and Christopher bowed to him then left from there.

"For now I want to tell you all that always be careful and take precautions and always believe those who are very close to you and also try to cultivate your powers more and more so that you all can be able to or at least try to fight with them. I will try my best to inform you all about the cure to it. I will inform the head healer who can say what's actually happened with the corpse. Till then inform the people to put all the corpse into the mortuary of the city so that they can be fully examined. So now anyone have any questions?"

"No milord, and please inform us as soon as possible."

"Hmm...now you all are dismissed."

They all bowed to him and dismissed from there.

After sometime Christopher enter the hall and told him that the great monk is on the way. He may be arriving here at any moment.

Damien nods and waits for him there. Christopher went to welcome the great monk.

The great monk is a very oldest monk of the decade. He knows Damien's family very closely. And the reason he is very famous is that whatever he is predicting it turn out to be true. He is the one who informed Damien that he is ganna loose his whole family in the war and there is no way to save them and it also turned out to be true that's why Damien trusted him very much and obeyed all the instructions he has said till now. He is living at the far away mountain from the kingdom. The mountain named as as 'Indigo' is a megical realm where no one can able to enter untill the great monk allows. It is bounded by the strongest megic of all the times. Only the pure souls can able to enter the mountain without any difficulties.

Christopher has contacted him through the megic by casting a spell on a glass megical globe. The megical globe is present in one of the secret room of the castle where only three people are allowed that is the lord, Christopher and Phoenix. Christopher informs the monk that the lord needs his presence very urgently. With that the monk already made his way towards the castle.

Back in the hall Damien keeps waiting for the great monk and keeps thinking about Crystal. He just can't get enough of her. From the day she has arrived at the castle she is wondering in his mind all day and night. He always wanted to be near her. Now he is smiling like a fool. That time his mother, sister and his husband enters and told him about the emergency and also about their departure and then he suggested them some advice about those mysterious killing and then told them to be very careful on the way. With that they all leave from there and made their way towards the human city. In city Aerilon also the condition is same. So king Albert decided to go there as soon as possible.

After sometime Christopher enters the hall with the great monk of all time. When Damien saw them entering he instantly got up from his sit and made his way towards the great monk and then bowed in front of him to show him the respect.

Then they sit down for the discussion about the important topic.

Before Damien can speak up the monk told him in a warm tone,

"I think your mind is clouded with someone's thought dear..."

Damien becomes very surprised. How can he able to know. no doubt he is the most wisest monk living till now.

By seeing Damien's expression the monk's guess turn out to be true.

"It's not like that what you are thin...." the monk cut him in the mid way while Damien was trying to explain him while holding a foolish smile on his face.

"Listen child... I don't have any problem with that but from my opinion you should stay away from her for now."

"Why?" he asks him with a frown on his face.

"Come forward a bit..." he told to Damien while he is in full of confusion but without arguing with him he came forward. then the monk placed his right palm on his head and closed his eyes for a moment. What he saw in his vision shocks him to the core.
