Chapter 9: Frankly, I Hate Harassment

Suho Kang's POV

I entered the classroom with Yu Ijin, as if we hadn't had any interaction outside.

There was an unspoken expectation between us not to draw any teacher's attention and receive punishment.

Nothing special happened during the lessons, and preparing for my future as a human monster, I dozed off for a bit.

Unfortunately, this brief slumber of mine was interrupted way too soon by troublemakers.

*Bam* The door was kicked open.

The sounds woke me from my sleep, and frankly, it put me in a bad mood. I had been up working on the "Telegramm" application all night, and I also had to use my eyes of misfortune to engage in "trading" for a long period.

In short, I needed that brief nap, but a nuisance managed to disturb it at the worst possible time.

"Why are you here?" the blonde guy seated not far from my place asked.

"I have business to settle," the redhead at the head of the group that barged in replied.

I had stopped dozing and was observing the scene. The group that had entered began muttering among themselves before the redhead pointed at Yu Ijin.

"You, come here," he said in an assured tone.

"Shut up," I said as I stood up and put my hand on Ijin's shoulder to prevent him from standing.

After I expressed myself, there was a lot of murmuring around the classroom, and I could see that the gang was slightly perturbed.

"Do you know who I am?" the redhead asked, frowning.

"A creature who don't know, but he is already dead," I said, rolling up my sleeves.

My words seemed to anger him, and the entire gang.

"You, little brat," the redhead said through gritted teeth.

"IJIN!" Dayeon yelled as she rushed into the classroom.

When I glanced at her appearance, I was surprised by the injuries she had sustained and the condition of her uniform.

Seeing her state in the manhwa is very different from seeing it in reality, and frankly, I was angry. Before, she was just a character in a webtoon for me, but after our conversation in the morning, things were slightly different.

"Was it you who did this?" I asked, slowly approaching.

"What? You think I'd hit a girl? She's Heejin's punching bag, my sister," he said nonchalantly with a shrug.

"I see, since you're the big brother, you'll take responsibility for it, okay?" I declared before punching him in the face.

I had avoided areas that could lead to an immediate K.O. and tried to control my strength, but his teeth still came out of his mouth, and he seems unconscious.

"I'm going to beat you so badly that your mother won't recognize you," I said, slowly walking toward him.

His subordinates were all too shocked by the situation to intervene, who could blame them?

A teenager had literally just slammed their boss against a wall with one punch.

"You lot there, don't move. If you try to flee or intervene, then know that you'll be more miserable than him, am I clear?" I said, stomping on the redhead's leg on the ground.

*Crack* I had applied enough force to break his leg.

"One leg down, you have three limbs left," I said, grabbing the other one.

*Crack* That was the sound of the other leg giving way under the force.

"You sick freak," a blonde girl yelled, rushing into the room to stand between me and the guy on the ground.

"I suppose you're Heejin, right?" I said, looking her in the eyes.

"I I..." she had lost the will to help her brother because of a single murderous intent, truly pathetic.

"That's enough, Suho," Ijin declared, grabbing my shoulder.

"Is it enough for you? They did a number on your sister, I remind you," I said after taking a few breaths to calm down.

"I'm angry too, but look at Dayeon," he said, glancing toward his sister.

I took a look and could see that she seemed shocked but surprisingly, there was also relief in her eyes, likely because she thought her brother would be in danger.

"Sorry Dayeon for showing an unsightly side of me," I said, taking a handkerchief to wipe the blood off my fist.

"It's okay, and it's partly because of me that you fought," she said in a low voice.

I placed my hand on her head to pat it before saying with the gentlest smile I could muster:

"It's never the victim's fault if they're bullied, and if unfortunately there's a next time, you should talk to a friend or your family," I said the last part looking at Ijin.

"I think our fight after class will be postponed, haha," I said with an embarrassed laugh.

"Yes, I think so too," he simply replied, nodding his head.

"You should escort your sister back to her class for now, I'll transport this trash to the infirmary," I said, picking him up and throwing the redhead over my shoulder.

Surprisingly, Heejin had followed me, accompanied by her friend.

"Uh, Suho Kang, you don't need to take him to the infirmary, they can handle it," Heejin declared behind me.

"I took his legs, so I think it's my duty to take him somewhere appropriate to be treated," I said nonchalantly.

"I'll also add that next time you go after Dayeon, I'll break another of his limbs," I said, glancing over my shoulder at her.

From the look on her face, I'm sure she'll take my warnings seriously, and in the worst case, I'll just keep my word.

Even if her parents press charges later, I doubt I'll end up in a juvenile detention center since I have no criminal record to begin with.

So at worst, I might do some community service or get permanently expelled from high school, but nothing too bad.

"Tell me, why did you go that far for Dayeon?" she asked in a feeble voice.

I could clearly hear frustration in her; it seemed she was suffering from some kind of inferiority complex or something similar.

"I didn't do it just for Dayeon, but for several reasons," I said as I arrived at the infirmary.

*Knock knock* I rapped on the door.

"You may come in," the nurse said.

"Sorry for the disturbance, but unfortunately, this student is seriously injured, and I think he's passed out," I said, laying the redhead down on the bed.

"Can you explain the situation to me?" she asked, shocked as she looked at my victim's legs.

"We had a dispute, and unfortunately, I went a bit too far," I said honestly. She'll find out anyway.

After that, I was temporarily suspended from the school, and it seems they're going to summon my legal guardian.

"Why are you following me? Your brother is in the infirmary," I said, turning to face the girl named Heejin.

"I just wanted to know the other reasons that drove you to defend Dayeon besides her," she said, crossing her arms.

I couldn't help but sigh as I looked at her.

"Okay, I'll tell you," I said, facing her.

"First, your brother came and messed up my class, preventing me from getting proper sleep," I said seriously.

My words seemed to have disconcerted her.

"Second, I was supposed to fight Dayeon's brother, and not sleeping properly really pissed me off," I explained, slightly angry.

"Third, I couldn't turn a blind eye to bullying, especially of this kind. Honestly, you bully another girl because of a boy," I said, looking at her as if she were scum.

It seemed the last reason had struck a nerve; she was now clearly looking at me angrily, but I didn't care.

"You're a rich, pretty girl with character, but you're wasting it foolishly," I said honestly before turning to leave.

"And tell your brother that if he wants revenge, I'm always available for a fight," I declared as I left.

"He said he finds me pretty?" she muttered, her brain completely shut down.

At that moment, Suho Kang didn't know he had become a new target for a girl afflicted with Stockholm syndrome who was already twisted to begin with.

...

"I guess I'm too kind," I told myself mentally as I walked with the PNG, Rira Seo, and Hansol.

Even though I had gone a bit far against Heejin's brother, I couldn't help it because of the sight of an injured Dayeon.

He was the big brother, but he did nothing to stop his sister from taking such a disgusting path.

That's why I advised Heejin despite her being the origin of this whole incident.

When I was still a teacher, I had to deal with bullying cases. It's actually quite complex to untangle; it's often created for multiple reasons.

Sometimes, some of the reasons that lead to bullying are stupid, and in rare cases, there's just no reason at all, only pure sadism.

The case between Heejin and Dayeon was born of Heejin's envy and jealousy toward Dayeon, if I remember the manhwa's plot correctly.

I didn't particularly appreciate the way the protagonist Yu Ijin handled the situation. He just made it more complex by going after Heejin's parents.

In the end, he ruined the lives of the two kids who could change in the future.

Maybe I believe in change because I went from being a delinquent to a teacher?

"You seem lost in thought since a while ago?" Hansol asked beside me.

"I'm just reflecting on my actions today, and it seems we've arrived," I said, looking at the entrance of a Chinese restaurant.

Here we go, Trading Company.
