Lookism :The True King

Synopsis: A former Thug was able to achieve his dream of entering the teaching profession by becoming a high school teacher. Unfortunately, he later died because of a high school girl who could not tolerate that our protagonist did not accept her feelings . Author's Note: The protagonist has read some webtoons and manhwas because of his friend, so he has some knowledge about manhwas and webtoons, but he is not an expert. And a little bonus information, he is around the same age as the members of Generation 1 and he is the son of Tom Lee. There will be other manhwas like High School Mercenary (yes, I like the guns) and other stuff like Castle.

Chapter 5: Seriously? A Mercenary in a High School?

POV of Suho Kang

"You came back a bit late yesterday," Hansu Seong declared at the table during breakfast.

"Sorry, I was busy yesterday," I said, taking a piece of egg.

"Are you taking care of your cousin's case?" he asked, taking a coffee.

"Yes, and it seems I must leave, I'm almost late," I said, quickly taking my breakfast before getting up.

"Before you go, go wake up Taehoon," he requested, giving me his usual smile.

I could only sigh and go upstairs to wake up this lazy boy.

"Wake up, lazybones, you're late," I said, removing his blanket.

"No, not yet, let me sleep more," he said, trying to protest.

But how could a 10-year-old boy resist me?

"Let me go, you jerk!" he yelled, squirming in my arms.

I simply carried him out of bed despite his protests and threw him into the bathroom.

"You won't get out of here until you've taken your shower," I yelled from the other side of the door before leaving.

No, I'm not adopted by Hansu Seong, but he has become my legal guardian.

Initially, when he discovered I was an orphan, he wanted to adopt me but I didn't want a new father in this life and Tom Lee is sufficient, so he proposed to become my legal guardian instead.

I obviously accepted, although the orphanage where Tom Lee dropped me off turned out to be a decent place.

I always had a lot of limitations on my movements and needed a lot of legal agreements to fully enjoy my earnings from "trading."

In short, I needed to find someone trustworthy to help me and Hansu Seong's proposal came at the right time.

He also benefited from our arrangement. I have never lost any taekwondo competition, including the "World Taekwondo Cadet Championships" which is a competition for youths between 14 and 17 years old.

So, Hansu's dojang is currently very reputable because of me.

For information, I took first place twice at the "World Taekwondo Cadet Championships" but both times were tougher than expected.

The first time I won that competition, I was 14 years old and was considered a monster by the media, but the second time, I had an extremely tough final.

My opponent was one or two years younger than me, but he managed to push me to my limits.

He seems to evolve during fights, I had to do the same as him and that's how I reached "the origin."

"I wonder what became of Jame Lee," I thought as I arrived at my school.

I had taken his number and we had parted on friendly terms, but I could clearly see that his defeat had left a bad taste in his mouth.

I always wonder if I could have really won if we had used everything and not just taekwondo during our confrontation.

So, I can say that Jame Lee and I are "friends" or rivals for now?

As I was thinking back to that tournament which was one of the most exciting moments of my two lives, I ended up arriving at my school.

...

"Did you hear the news?" a girl asked her friend.

"No, is there anything new?" she replied, clearly interested.

"The new guy who started high school early last year won a popular taekwondo competition during the holidays," she said excitedly.

"I always knew he wasn't normal," she responded, remembering all his exceptional results from the previous year.

"Yeah, he's not human, he always finished first in everything and between us..."

She motioned for her friend to come closer to whisper in her ear.

"I find him sexy, did you see his physique?" she said, blushing.

"Stop crushing on that kid," declared a teenager sitting nearby.

"I have the right to crush on whoever I want, Kim Kisoo, and it's that 'kid' who beat you in all physical activities," she said with a slight laugh.

"Kim Heejin, tell your friend to watch her language," he said, frowning.

"Okay, okay, calm down. Anyway, the new guy skipped another grade and now he's a senior," Heejin explained with a shrug.

She wasn't scared at all by her brother's mood swings, but she would be lying if she said she wasn't interested in the new student.

"Did you see Yu Dayun? I would need her gym uniform," she asked her friend with a sadistic smile.

...

"Suho Kang, even if you're an exceptional student, you have no excuse for being late," the teacher declared sternly.

"Sorry, I had a small issue," I said apologetically.

"Go sit next to the new student," she said, pointing to an empty seat behind a new face in the class.

I headed to my seat, but this new student's face seemed familiar.

"Hello, I'm Suho Kang," I said, extending my arm to greet him.

"I'm Yu Ijin," he simply said with a smile.

His name reminded me of a manhwa I enjoyed in my past life, and his appearance matched the protagonist's.

"You're quite strong, huh," I said, gripping his arm tighter while keeping a polite smile.

"I'll return the compliment," he said, frowning slightly.

I removed my hand from his, and sat behind him. Apart from that earlier interesting interaction, the day was uneventful.

"Yu Ijin, would you come to the cyber cafe with me?" I proposed at the end of classes.

Our interaction seemed to have attracted the class's attention, but it wasn't my concern and I was already used to being the center of attention.

"No, I have my little sister that I must let to home," he politely refused.

"Too bad, I would have liked to talk more with someone as strong as you," I said, getting up.

I already knew our paths would be linked the moment I met him, but I made an interesting discovery when we greeted each other.

Yu Ijin is the second person I meet with a violet aura around him without any flaws.

Usually, when I observe someone with my eyes of misfortune, there is always a spot on them that doesn't have a violet glow.

That means if I decide to attack in that area, no misfortune will befall me and it's the same when he attacks me, I just have to aim for the area without the violet glow.

But Yu Ijin is like Hansu Seong, I saw no flaw with my eyes of misfortune, so if I struck him, he could have blocked and countered.

"So he's stronger than the current Jame Lee, now I really want to face this guy," I muttered to myself as I left class.

*Bing bing* My phone rang in my pocket.

"This is Suho Kang, who am I dealing with?" I asked as I walked.

"I am Myeong Seong, the head of 1103," the voice on the phone replied.

"Oh Mr. Png, how are you?" I asked, slightly worried.

The kick he took to the face was no ordinary one, I was slightly impressed he could talk to me properly so soon.

"I'm fine, Mr. Suho. I wish to negotiate with you for the property of 1103," he calmly stated, as if I hadn't smashed his face yesterday.

Author's Note: Strangely, I'm enjoying writing this fanfiction more than the one for HxH.

Perhaps because the protagonist's personality is drawn from one of my personal friends.
