Narrator's POV
As Suho Kang had predicted, the restaurant Heejin chose ended up bleeding his wallet dry.
"I'm gonna have to play the lottery to make up for all this money I just blew," thought Suho, inwardly shedding tears as he stared at the overpriced menu.
Despite his mental complaints, the food turned out to be delicious, and the idea of coming back to this restaurant was already sprouting in his mind.
"So, is this your first time in a place like this?"
The sudden question caught Suho off guard for a moment before he realized it was pretty obvious.
He hadn't exactly acted like the other patrons, and the aura he gave off practically screamed delinquent.
"Yeah, I'm not really… part of this world, but…"
Suho paused, looked at Heejin, and let a bit of his ambition shine through.
"I plan to join it… and even go beyond."
An unconscious confident smile crept onto his face.
"What's this feeling?" thought Heejin, quickly averting her eyes to avoid his gaze.
The atmosphere of the meal grew especially intense, and the two teens chatted about various topics. But the balance was broken by Suho Kang.
"I almost forgot… You started bullying that girl, Dayun, because of a boy, right?"
Hearing those words, Heejin shot Suho a slightly annoyed look before flashing a teasing smile.
"Why the sudden interest in my ex?"
Heejin's defensive tone didn't faze Suho, who already knew her insecurities about Dayun and that boy who had never shown any interest in her.
"I'm just curious about the idiot who didn't recognize a treasure when it was right in front of him," he replied honestly, subtly referring to Heejin's family wealth as a compliment.
"Haha, you sure know how to use fancy words… but I gotta admit, I don't hate it."
She slowly placed her hand on Suho's, and, of course, he responded positively to her gesture.
They finished their meal shortly after and eventually went on to have fun at karaoke, just as they had planned.
During their singing session, Suho discovered he had real musical talent, to the point where Heejin insisted he should try joining a music agency.
"This day… was amazing," murmured Heejin, though her words were clearly meant for Suho.
"Yeah, I had a lot of fun for my first date," Suho responded honestly, walking toward a black car waiting for Heejin.
"First date?" Heejin was confused for a moment before realizing that Suho had never dated anyone in high school or had that kind of relationship.
She would've easily known if he had, given his notoriety.
"So… he's a total virgin, huh?" The thought brought a sly smile to her pretty face.
"Hey… Suho!"
As they reached the car, Heejin abruptly pulled Suho toward her.
He could have resisted her weak force, but he knew nothing bad would come of it.
*Smack*.
Heejin kissed him, an innocent kiss, but that wasn't nearly enough for a man like Suho, who had been holding himself back for 16 years.
When Heejin tried to pull away after her sneak attack, Suho grabbed her head and stopped her retreat.
He began devouring her mouth in a passionate kiss before stopping when he felt Heejin's legs weaken.
A strand of saliva still connected the two teens, a testament to the intensity of Suho's instinctive attack.
"Sorry… I couldn't hold back from tasting you a bit," Suho said, a bit embarrassed by his actions.
Heejin just nodded mechanically, her eyes hazy, her face red with embarrassment.
"He's supposed to be younger than me, and this is his first date… but why do I feel like this after just a kiss?"
She quickly got into the car, leaving Suho standing by the roadside.
"Did I go a little too far?"
…
Suho Kang's POV
*Bam!* A kick to an electric pole.
"I really hope I didn't mess everything up."
I know Heejin clearly has a thing for me, but maybe I rushed things.
Then again, I've been holding back too much since my reincarnation… 16 years without a woman is a long time. Feeling Heejin's body against mine was just too hard to resist.
Especially at my current age, my body isn't exactly helping me stay in control.
Thank goodness I wasn't drunk; otherwise, I might've done something really stupid.
"The important thing is that I didn't see any purple glow." Heejin was just surprised… or at least, I hope so.
As I grumbled about my stupidity and lack of restraint, I spotted a scene straight out of an action movie: Yu Ijin and that girl's bodyguard, Yeong Shin, were hit by a black car.
The situation unfolded at breakneck speed. I barely had time to memorize the car's license plate before hopping on my bike.
[Yu Ijin, if you're reading this, it means you survived after getting wrecked by a car.]
[By the way, I saw Dayun getting kidnapped. I'm chasing them now.]
I clumsily typed out my messages while pedaling, making sure not to get spotted as I followed the vehicle.
"I will finally get another real fight!" I don't know when it happened, but a wide grin had spread across my face.
It's not often I get the chance to go all out, and now I have the opportunity to face professionals.
I really wanted to contact Gyeongchun Rim, but his official position is way too complicated for me to involve him in a kidnapping case involving the granddaughter of a conglomerate president.
After about ten minutes, I finally arrived at an abandoned warehouse near the port. Seriously, could they have picked a more cliché spot for a base?
I sent my location to Yu Ijin before starting to knock out the criminals stationed around the warehouse and port.
Unlike Yu Ijin, I'm not a soldier, and I have no experience in rescue missions or protecting someone.
That's why I decided to proceed with a much higher level of caution than usual.
"I get now why 'professionals' look down on street thugs in the Baek XX manhwa. Street fighting and executing an operation are two entirely different worlds."
Muttering my thoughts under my breath, I dragged an unconscious guard toward a container in a poorly lit area.
"You there!"
Someone rushed at me after spotting me dragging their buddy. Honestly, that was a dumb move.
He should've alerted the others, but he chose to confront me instead. I guess he's after a bonus, or he underestimated me because of my young appearance. That would explain this stupid mistake.
Dodging his punch, I quickly grabbed his wrist and pulled him toward me before delivering an uppercut to his chin, making his eyes roll back.
Taking out idiots like this is way too easy.
I repeated the routine for about ten minutes before infiltrating the warehouse where the two girls were being held.
Along the way, I picked up a crowbar. Why? Because I just want to use a weapon after all that training with Whang Hao.
Once inside, I scanned the area for the hostages.
Luckily, it only took me a few seconds to spot them.
From what I could tell, Yu Ijin's sister had just woken up. It seemed the kidnappers had wanted to harm her, but the woman named Yeong Shin managed to convince them otherwise.
I waited for the man who seemed to be their leader to step away before stepping in.
*BAM!*
Without yelling or announcing my presence, I smashed the crowbar into the leader's leg.
My action isn't exactly… honorable, but who cares? I'm here to crush some thugs, and I don't care if it seems brutal.
This is a fight, not a taekwondo competition Hansu forces me to join from time to time.
"Sorry for the wait, ladies!!" I said calmly, positioning myself in front of them with the crowbar resting on my shoulder.
"Suho!!!" Dayun's shocked voice was music to my ears on this dark night.
