Chapter 6# Testing my First Crew member

A WEEK AFTER THE ENCOUNTER...

It had been a week since the intense battle with Gun Park, and Gojo Satoru realized he hadn't officially named his crew. After some thought, he decided on the name "Vendetta."

"So, what do you think of this crew name, Jade?" Gojo inquired.

Jade Mantis, growing into a handsome figure, responded, "Um, yes, yes, it's good. Don't worry; I think so too, hehe."

"It's a good name, of course," agreed Gojo Satoru. When he looked at Jade, he noticed how much he had matured, giving him a 9/10 like Crystal Choi. Jade shared his experiences, having fought 60% gangsters and 40% martial arts users, including boxers, Taekwondo and Muay Thai practitioners. He had lost against a street fighter with weapon mastery, a katana user, who later revealed himself to be Goo Kim. Jade accepted Goo Kim's offer to be his secret friend, appreciating the chance to be friends with such a formidable fighter.

"How about a spar, Jade?" Gojo suggested.

"Okay, I was waiting for you to say it," Jade replied. They went to a remote area for an undisturbed fight.

"I'm gonna show you how much I've grown up, Boss!" Jade declared.

"First fight, then talk," Gojo responded.

Jade initiated the spar with a Taekwondo kick to the head, but Gojo dodged and countered by grabbing Jade's leg, leading to a series of spins. As the fight progressed, Jade switched to boxing, throwing jabs, uppercuts, and backfists. Gojo effortlessly dodged the attacks but found himself annoyed by Jade's expressions, attempting to provoke him.

Eventually, Jade lost control, venting his anger. Gojo observed and analyzed Jade's skills, noting his speed, attack speed, endurance, and strength levels. When Jade prepared his strongest attack, a spinning kick at 100%, Gojo effortlessly stopped it with a single finger.

Gojo complimented Jade, "You're not bad," and shifted into his Renewal Taekwondo stance. Jade mentally conceded, anticipating defeat, and was kicked in the face, falling unconscious. Gojo assessed Jade's overall level at 5.5, surprised by his rapid progress.

Later, as Jade woke up, Gojo greeted him with a grin. Jade asked if Gojo could stop using Renewal Taekwondo due to the pain and trauma it caused. Gojo acknowledged the strength of the technique and explained its benefits, including pain resistance. He also revealed that he had copied Jade's unique Taekwondo move during their fight.

Jade was surprised, asking about copy ability, and Gojo explained it, noting his superior skill, Perfect Copy. Jade realized that during the fight, Gojo had copied his move, the one he used when he became angry. Jade accused Gojo of cheating, and Gojo responded with laughter.

After their discussion, Jade headed home for the night, and Gojo went to sleep, contemplating the unique talents and potential within his crew, Vendetta.
