Wang Ba groggily opened his eyes, only to jolt upright instantaneously.
He quickly scanned the surroundings while extending his Spiritual Sence outwards.
He found himself,
startlingly, lying on a fork of a thick, sturdy tree. There were only a few old, vacant-looking houses in the surroundings, which he suspected had been long uninhabited.
Wang Ba was mystified.
"Wasn't I dissecting a Terrapin-tail Sparrow? How did I suddenly...."
He only remembered a brief moment of dizziness before he lost consciousness completely.
Upon awakening, he found himself seemingly at the peak of a mountain.
Just at that moment.
A familiar voice echoed in his ear.
"My dear disciple, you're awake?"
Instinctively Wang Ba turned his gaze towards the source of the voice, and saw brawny man, bare-chested, sitting cross-legged on a tree branch not too far away.
"Master?"
Clearly, that figure was Yao Wudi.
Though he saw Yao Wudi, in his Spiritual Sence, it was as if no one was there.
