"…Where am I?" Jack thought to himself, slowly opening his eye. As his vision started to clear, and his surroundings became clear, Jack was astonished at what he saw. Jack was in a large forest, with vibrant green foliage covering the ground around him… The ground? That couldn't be right, Jack thought, as he continued to look around. Finally, Jack looked down to see that he was… body-less. Or perhaps that wasn't the right word. Rather he was a… well he wasn't sure. To the left and right of him were small bat-like wings, and there was nothing underneath him. Thinking about it, he could've really been anything at this point.
Thoughts raced through Jack's mind. Where was he? What was he? What was that voice he heard? What are The Watchers? He had so many questions, and none of them answered.
As Jack's mindset began to settle, they tried going through each question one by one. Firstly, where was he? As far as he could tell, he was in some heavily forested area. Next up: What was he? Obviously he wasn't human, but he couldn't quite tell what kind of weird creature he was either. As he thought about it, he recalled hearing that strange voice that spoke of a "Skill Unlock", was this like one of those anime his friends made him watch on their off time?
Jack thought of the words 'Status' In his mind, and then in front of him, appeared a screen:

Day 1
Okay, so… I'm not really sure how I'm supposed to do this, but I guess this is really the only thing I can do to take my mind off of my current situation. Hello, by the way, to anyone who's reading, I'm Jackson Hill, and up until a few hours ago, I was a human living a great, relatively peaceful life. To be quite frank, I don't recall how I died, nor do I care to. That being said, I've been having a hard time adjusting to my new surroundings, and my new body. I seem to be some kind of… eye-creature? This situation is just too weird for me, you know? I've pretty much spent my entire day exploring the surroundings. To my south of where I woke up, I found a small cave in which I now live.
As I'm writing this, my… stomach? Yeah, my stomach has been grumbling for quite a while now, looks like I'll have to find some food tomorrow, though I'm not looking forward to hunting and gathering. Speaking of eating, how do I eat? I have no mouth, only a single eye, wings, and a tail. Whatever, that won't matter until tomorrow.
That being said… Goodnight "Watchers"
Day 2
Hello everyone, it's me, Jack here, back again for another nightly rambling. I've got to say, despite the creepiness of some random, interdimensional beings reading my diary, this has been quite comforting, especially after I was almost eaten whole by a large snake-like creature. I mean, you wouldn't believe the size of this thing! It had to have been at least 6 feet long, with large, dripping venomous fangs! I mean, I was barely able to dodge out of the way of it's attack, since I had noticed the big green fella hiding in the brush while I was flying around. Thank the lord for wings, am I right?
After that debacle, I was finally able to get my uhh… I guess you'd call it my first meal? There was this small lizard-like thing that I was able to wack down with my tail. It was a little smaller than me, and had green scales with some darker purple spots, with a thick clear ooze covering it's entire body. It took me a while to uhh, figure out how to eat it. Apparently I have some kind of err… a mouth? yeah, we'll call it a mouth, on the end of my tail. I nibbled a bit on it, and gained some experience, which I should've expected, considering the status menu and the very obvious EXP counter on it, but it really took me by surprise when I was chowing down on some lizard and I hear a loud [YOU GAINED 5 EXP] boom inside my head. Though I'll concede it was nice to hear a voice other than my own. It's only been a few days, but I've been kind of lonely, just by myself.
Well, that's all I have for now, see you all tomorrow.
Day 3
WOW, LIVING IN A FOREST KIND OF SUCKS! I mean, yeah, I knew this was going to be hard and all, but goddamn, this is tough. First thing in the morning, I was attacked by this weird acid spitting wolverine. Yeah, pretty crazy right? This thing was hissing and howling all morning, shooting balls of corrosive mucus at my small eye-stalk body. Every cycle of saliva-lobbing, I'd swoop in and whack it with my tail. Almost two hours of fighting before I got that stupid drooling wolverine thing off my lawn (EG: dead). Once again I had heard the booming voice of what I assume to be god. [YOU GAINED 5 EXP] [NAMELESS OCULI HAS LEVELED UP!] is what it said. I guess leveling up increases my stats? I still don't have any Charm, but everything went up two or three points, not very significant to my knowledge. I wonder if I'll evolve like they do in those anime too… so much to think about. Whatever, I had a nice lunch of raw wolverine, and headed out to do some more scavenging. That's when I came across another one of those slimy lizards. They really are disgusting, and their meat tastes rancid, but hey, meat is meat, after all. After hearing another glorious notification from… hm, I should probably give this thing a name, god works, I guess? Anyways, I got some more exp, and I decided to take a look at my stat page again.

So as it turns out, I've had an eye beam this entire time… wow, that could've made things SO much easier. Well, that's good to know for later.
But that's about all I did that day, I was real tired from searching for little creatures to kill to satiate my hunger, so I'm headed to bed.
