On a white bed, a ten-year-old boy is sitting, his back lying on a pile of soft pillows that support his back so as not to fall.
His body is so fragile and thin it ruptures on anything more than the softest of touches. His hair is wispy broken down to the shoulders.
The boy's face was pale like a tissue, clean yet easily torn. He has just passed his tenth birthday and he was as tiny as a doll, pale with slender limbs.
A few intravenous cables stuck in his hands. As looked, from his appearance it could be said that he was a patient in this hospital.
And then, despite the sickness, he was reading a book on his hand. More precisely it is a manga book.
He is reading his most favorite manga, 'Fairy Tail'. However, there were flashes of sadness in both eyes. The manga he read was the last volume of the Fairy Tail manga series, of course, this made him very sad because the things that made his day more meaningful suddenly finished just like that. Moreover, the end of the story was a little not so satisfying for him as he thought there were still many plots that could be developed by the dear mangaka, Hiro Mashima.
Fate is indeed shown no mercy. He is just a child who should live normally and cheerfully with other children out there. Yet, the reality is not as sweet as expected.
Inside this tiny little body, slumber an unknown terrifying disease which makes him only be able to surrender to his fate waiting for his end to arrive.
He was born in one of the most prominent families in his country. His parents had brought famous doctors from all over the world in order to heal their little son. However, their efforts over the years were in vain as the doctors cannot even identify the disease of their child.
On the contrary, the doctors convicted that the life of this child would not live beyond the age of ten.
Thus, the boy decides he will enjoy his remaining lifetime in his own way. He spends his time reading because in the fact reading is his greatest hobby. Especially if what he reads is a novel or manga.
He has read countless novels and manga, and one of them is the Fairy Tail manga. Fairy Tail is his the most favorite manga series, therefore, he is very sad when he receives the last volume of Fairy Tail from his parent.
He sighed deeply as his hand gradually closed the manga he was reading.
"It's time for me too" he lightly laid his body on the bed and hugged his favorite manga on his chest.
It was very painful and tiring. For him during his ten years of life was like an eternal torture. He had held back his strange illness as hard as he could in order to wait to read the final volume of his favorite manga.
Actually, he already felt that his death had arrived yesterday before his tenth birthday, but he did not want to give up because of his abundant love for the Fairy Tail series. He really hopes to be given another day to be able to read the series to the end.
"At least God can still hear" he whispered with his eyes slowly closed as he could feel the light starting to fade and dimmed.
'Thank you, Mom, Dad!'
