Chapter 56
“I will be the maid of honour!” Lucy squeals at the top of her lungs, making me clamp my hands over my ears.
“There’s not gonna be a wedding,” I sigh. “He’s way too young to even be thinking about things like that.”
“But you found a cute guy! Better to put a ring on it before he can find out just how fucked up you are and run!” Lucy screams again, tossing her pink purse at me. “Just do it already! There! Use my card! We can go shopping for rings and you can ask him tonight!”
“Oh for god sakes!” I yell back, climbing on top of the couch and standing, towering over her in an attempt to somehow make myself more audible. “You are the most irritating person I have ever met and I have no idea why we are friends.”
Lucy pouts, clearly trying her best to pull a sad face, but a smile breaks through as she starts to giggle.
