Don't forget who the older sister is

"You Bastard! Mongrel! How dare you talk to big sister like this? And what does it has to do with you on how we treat these lowly commoners, who were destined to be trampled on with our shoes? And don't you know that it is their blessing that I ate the food they cook?" Averil pointed out, her voice was shrill to the ear and Lilith was sure that Harriet and her family must have heard her.

"Bitch." Lilith spat out and turn to Carissa.

"Oh-oh, I think you're smarter than your sister, right? And I know you know what's good for you. Before you leave today, you must compensate the Beasants."

Carissa blinked lightly and then nodded.

"Beatrix." She called out and a young maid walked in and bowed.

"What can I do for you, My Lady?"

"How much do you want?" Carissa turned to Lilith instead.

Lilith raised up two fingers.

"Give her two silvers," Carissa said to her maid gracefully. She has calm herself down and tried to gain the upper hand in the situation as her mother had taught her.

Beatrix nodded before taking out her purse.

Lilith's lip curled up into a grin and Carissa watched with eyes full of disdain.

"What a bumpkin. She was happy just for two silvers." She thought.

The maid took out two silvers and handed them to Lilith.

Lilith looks at the silvers in the callous hand of the maid and the disdain in her eyes can't be concealed at all as she looks up at Carissa.

"Carissa, are you really stupid or you are pretending to be stupid? Do you think I will cause a commotion just for a mere two silvers? C'mon, I miss Mother so don't let us be late, quick, fuck out two gold coins."

"What?!" Carissa thought that it was either she heard wrong or Lilith has gone mad.

There are 1000 silvers in 1 gold coin and her pocket money as the duke's daughter for a month was only one gold coin but now, Lilith asked for 2, she might as well go to heaven.

"Bitch, how dare you call me a bitch?!" Averil shrilled.

She was in a trance after Lilith called her a bitch earlier, and her (Lilith's) voice seems to replay itself in her head.

"Bitch."

"Bitch."

"Bitch."

Carissa jolted in her seat and she also woke up from her trance of thinking that Lilith didn't know how much silver is in a gold coin. And she also couldn't help but wonder when her sister started behaving like a shrew.

Wait, how can she call her sister a shrew?

Carissa has the urge to slap her forehead, but this is not the time though.

She can't fuck out two gold coins at all, because she was planning on buying gifts for the princess's birthday, well, even though the correct way to say it is that, she was planning on impressing the princes, and maybe, she will be fortunate enough for one of the princes to fall in love with her.

Thinking of this, she shook her head and chided Lilith.

"How can you ask for that much, Lilith? Don't you know that it is not good to be greedy? Or do you forget Mother's teaching? Also, don't let those commoners manipulate you into giving them such a huge amount. And tell me, if they dare to bully you, I, Carissa swear to make them pay."

Lilith look at her as if she was stupid and her gaze caused Carissa to feel self-conscious.

Suddenly, Lilith bursts into laughter, her laughter was like a beautiful melody, yet bewitching to the ears.

"Carissa, oh Carissa, do you forget who the big sister is here? Don't forget that I am half a year older than you, so stop talking as if you are the elder sister here."

Carissa blushed red in embarrassment.

Lilith stared at her for a moment before standing up and walking out.

"What? Where is she going?" They were bewildered and rushed out to follow after her.

Then Lilith stood in the middle of the street, the wind flew her auburn hair and the sun shone brightly on her graceful figure.

Then she cupped her hand at the side of her mouth and cleared her throat.

"W-What are you going to do? Lilith?" Carissa panicked.

Lilith sneered. "I am going to say out what you and your sister did, and how you guys refuse to compensate the people."
