Life Of A Young Author

Klein, a high schooler who has been locking himself in his room ever since he lost his best friend. His mother never bothered pushing him to go to school. Since he had nothing to do, he started writing novels online. He got a lot of 5 stars reviews but somehow his book is never 5 stars! He needs to look for the comment with no 5 stars! He continued writing until his fifth book was published online. Suddenly, a reader of his reaches out to him and wishes him luck with his new book. It was normal to him but when he checked the person’s account, he saw their past comments. Turns out they had commented a lot on his book and he reads every comment written by them. He was shocked to find the person pointing out his mistake and their opinion on his book. Not a full 5 stars review! Never once he felt hurt by review until this person appears. K: Do you mind if I offer you to be my assistant. K.DMed.ME: O.O? And that...is how Klein made his first friend. ~ Warning: Contain(s): slight bl Not so good English triggering topics ~ Criticism are welcome in the comment section!

Klein wanted to gain more merits marks for his third year class. Turns out, he had more demerits than he imagined because of the time he didn't attend school. That's why, when Jamie said he should do his duty more to gain merits, he was devastated that he had to work more hard in school.

"...So, you wanted to gain more merit marks?"

"...Yes."

"...Well, people avoid checking on the pool area because the swimming club always splash water everywhere. Also, the volleyball club, people avoid checking there because someone got hit once. And well, basketball-"

Klein covers Jamie's mouth and just asks for the list of the places that rarely got checked. Basically, all the sports clubs except track and field clubs are the least visited by the discipline committee and student council.

Well, it's track and field.

What are you going to do?

Run into people?

"So who used to check on these places?"

"Me."

Klein walked out from the room, feeling sorry for the senior. He had it rough. Now, the first club he had to check is the swimming club. Some of them sneak to use the pool in the morning to practice for their competition instead of being in class.

"I am surprised they haven't die because of the cold atmosphere in the morning-"

"OI! GET AWAY-"

Klein has already opened the dressing room near the pool and the first thing he sees is two guys looking like they're about to do some illegal stuff.

"...Students aren't allowed to use the pool before school time. Also…doing intimate things between two student-"

"YOU GOT IT WRONG-!"

Klein didn't let those two finish and left the room immediately. Next, he needs to make sure the gym used by the volleyball team is tidy. A lot of people complain that they left volleyball scattered around and some of them sneak practice too.

'What's up with the sports students practicing at the time they're not allowed too-?'

He heard noises and suddenly people were screaming. He entered the gym and saw one of the guy trying to kiss an unconscious guy while others are running around, panicking.

"...No practicing early in the morning. Also, keep all the balls and the nets inside the storage room…lastly…no intimate action between two students-"

"YOU GOT IT WRONG! I TRY TO GIVE HIM CPR-!"

Klein gets out from the gym and sighs. He wonders what is even going on here. Only male students in the sports club break the rules. He should respect female students more in the future.

"Also…what's up with the sports club filled with fruity male…

No wonder girls like them."

He is finally done and he has concluded from his research…the sports clubs are not dangerous but instead, filled with fanservice that everyone can't handle. If anything, Jamie is really the one suited for this job because Klein is too tired to even warn every club daily.

"Mr Klein. Care to tell me your excuse, why are you late?"

"...had to check on some clubs and a lot of students broke rules…also…it was a nightmare…I would rather stay at home again…

Or maybe…

Just expel me…"

Class E is pretty scared at Klein's deadly eyes staring at the teacher. Mr Kris is pretty much concerned about the boy. Maybe it was better for the boy to not know about his club's existence in the first place.

They let Klein sit down and heard a loud thud. His head was on the table and the boy fell asleep. Mr Kris sighs and…knocks on his table. Klein woke up groaning at his teacher's strictness.

"Go wash your face."

He complied with the order and went to the restroom. He heard the sound of…sobbing so he went to the locked stall.

"Excuse me? Are you okay?"

He sniff a bit before answering Klein.

"A-ah yes- ouch-"

Klein isn't that kind of person but he saw the person's feet and seems like he's in sitting position.

"Are you skipping class?"

"N-no! I will get out! G-give me time-"

Klein went to wash his face and wait for the guy to come out from the stall. When he finally came out, he saw Klein and immediately looked down. Klein grabs his hands but he hiss in pain.

"...what were you doing inside there?"

"I…um…"

Klein realised his grip is too strong when the guy suddenly shed a tears.

"Sorry."

"It's fine…um…Klein, right?"

Klein doesn't even question how this guy knows his name with him being trending on the school website for absolutely no reason. He nodded and the guy played with his fingers, nervously.

"Are you going to tell the teacher about me being here?"

"No, if you don't want to."

"T-thanks…I- um…how did you manage to go through the stress you get from school?"

Klein sat lean on the stall while thinking. Never thought someone would ask him this question.

"...Well, for starters, I sleep a lot."

That guy blinks before chuckling at his answers. Klein feels offended but continue anyways.

"And then…I got a lot of support from my friends. Before I had friends, my mom gave me the support I needed."

"...what if..you had no friends and parents to give you any support?"

Klein saw the guy slowly look at him in the eyes but look away immediately when their eyes meet.

"I make my own fictional friends by writing stories. I like writing, you know.

Now, my turn to ask you questions since you ask me a lot. Are you struggling at school right now?"

He was met with a crying guy and Klein had no other choice but to hug him. Klein pat his back until he feels better.

"I failed a lot…my parents are expecting me to get good grades for the final exam. I wanted to ask my classmates for help but…they always had their own friend group that they're busy with…"

Klein pulled the boy's blazer off and saw his white school uniform is tainted by red colouring. He knew his suspicions were correct. The boy covered his arm but Klein gave him a pat before dragging him to the nurse office.

"Mr Klein? You can't escape class by sleeping here."

"....I just need a bandage."

The nurse gave him a bandage and continued her work while Klein helped the boy. His tag that was on his blazer clearly visible to Klein.

'Ray…'

"...Thank you…"

"...It's weird to see me talking a lot, huh?"

He smiled and shook his head. Klein finished with the bandage and gave him a small paper.

"I am a stranger but…you can always talk to me. You can also study with me and my friends."

Ray nods and Klein asks the nurse to give Ray a sick leave note.

"I can't do that."

"I will do anything you ask. Helping you at the infirmary? No problem."

The nurse happily gave Ray the sick leave note and he can leave the school early. Klein looked at him leaving before holding his own arm.

"...I need to change my bandage."

Mr Kris: I tell you to wash your face…not to sleep in the restroom until the first period is done…

Klein: …Are you going to give me demerits?

Mr Kris: ….Yes

Klein: 'F*ck!'
