Chapter 19

In the middle of the night, Ed was checking the things he gained over the past few days. 

First is the pocket dimension. He looked at the dimension and saw that the two eggs were near the fountain of the life water. The berry he planted has already grown and it started bearing berries. 

The second was the new pokemons he got. They were Spinarak and also Zeraora who were sealed as a Pikachu. 

He also has the knowledge which were the doctor notes and a breeder knowledge. Ed thought that it would be the same as other system novels and that he would learn the knowledge immediately. 

But what he got was a book and a notebook. He read the book about breeding knowledge but he could only understand small things. As for the notebook, it's full of medical knowledge about the human body and different diseases and ailments. Some were familiar to him like cancer and how to improve the efficiency of curing using pokemon uniqueness like Luxray. 

'Sigh, I thought that I would be a doctor in this life or else my parents in the past life would be proud' 

He sighed as he closed the notebook and put it on the study table. He sat on the bed as he contemplated his actions since his reincarnation. 

The time that he woke up in this world he was full of curiosity and excitement. Feeling and doing things he thinks of as a fantasy. 

But all this time he knew he was afraid, afraid that all of this was just a long dream. That he would wake up to a room full of silence beside the noise outside. That he would return to his daily boring routine.

He remembered what kind of person he was. A person always wants change but also wants to retain his comfort zone. A person who didn't want to give up but didn't know what he was fighting for. 

But the present was a little different, he was childish and ready to give up if necessary and he also strived to reach his different goals. 

Contemplating the difference he couldn't help but question if he was reincarnated or just a child given the memories. 

Ed was staring at the window as he contemplated the things he had in his mind that he fell asleep from thinking.

Ralts who was near him stared at his trainer before falling asleep.

The next morning 

Ed gets off the bed and he looks due to being awakened by his pokemons.

He saw Spinarak dangling in the air with its string and below him was the wrapped Cleffa who was crying. 

He looks at his side to see Dew (Roselia) looking at Cleffa with helplessness. 

"What happened?" 

As he asked this question the door opened and a figure showed up. It was Cynthia's adult version, it was Aunt Ralia. 

"Sigh your Cleffa followed Ralts and Cynthia on taking care of the pokemon eggs but it was so curious that it knocked down one of the eggs luckily Ralts caught it. Your cousin and Ralts were furious so they asked Spinarak to contain your Hyperactive pokemon." 

Hearing his aunt's explanation he couldn't help but feel annoyed at his little pokemon. 

"Can't you behave just a single day without me holding you? I just woke up and you almost had an accident. As a punishment Spinarak will tie you until lunch" Ed enforced Cleffa's punishment and designated Spinarak on the task of guarding Cleffa. 

"Spii" Spinarak happily agreed as he liked dangling around with his web and guarding Cleffa was just an easy part for him. 

Cleffa hearing her trainer's order was shocked (⁠ ⁠⚈̥̥̥̥̥́⁠⌢⁠⚈̥̥̥̥̥̀⁠) 'Ed didn't love me anymore' 

Ralia on the side was smiling at the interaction between Ed and his pokemon. She was familiar with Ed interacting with pokemon but most of the time it was Ralts who was helping his owner socialize. Then she noticed two items on Ed's study table so she went closer and saw a book titled 'Basic Breeder Knowledge: How to Take Care of Baby Pokemon'. 

She took the book and thought that Ed was reading this book because of the additional pokemon egg around. When she lifted the book she saw the notebook with full of bookmarks so she put aside the book and opened the notebook. 

When she read the content and was a doctor and a scientist Ralia was shocked at how advanced the medical knowledge was in the notebook. She couldn't help but probe the notebook and saw the owner of the notebook 'Leroy'. 

"Ed, where did you get these books?" Ralia asked Ed

"I received them from a friend" Ed answered as he busily took care of his pokemons

"Then can I take a look at these items? No, just the notebook" 

"Sure Aunt" Ed 

Ralia took the notebook, engrossed in reading the content about medical knowledge. Ed followed her with Ralts and Dew(Roselia), when they arrived at the living room Ed saw Cynthia taking care of the eggs while beside her were Azurill and Pikachu. 

Cynthia was sitting on the sofa and the gible egg was on her lap while there were three other eggs on the table beside her. This time the Togepi egg wasn't shining even when it was together with Cynthia. 

"Good morning sleepy head" Cynthia greeted her cousin

"Yeh morning" Ed greeted back as he continued his way to the kitchen to get some breakfast. 

"Mom, what are you reading?" Cynthia asked but her mother was so engrossed that she didn't hear her daughter. 

Grandma Talya passed by and saw Ralia engrossed in the notebook she saw Ralia taking out her notebook and pen as she took down notes. 

"Ralia what are you reading that made you so engrossed in it" 

"Ah! Aunt Talya, it's about the notes Ed received from a friend. I think he took it out with the book about taking care of young pokemon." 

"Oh? Ed received a book?" 

"Yes" 

"What's with that notebook then?" 

"It's about medical practice for humans and this is more advanced than our present medical knowledge." 

"!!!" Grandma Talya was surprised and looked at the notebook 

"Would this help us wake Azim?" 

"That, I don't know auntie but we could send these notes to the Joy clan" 

"Sure let's talk about it with your father and uncle" 

Cynthia looked at the two ladies and she couldn't help but get curious about the notes. But what made her more curious is the book Ed has. 

 So she asked Azurill to get the book which the pokemon compiled as she went to Ed's room to get the book. 

When Cynthia got her hand on the book. She slowly read the first part of the book and its topics. While reading Cynthia's eyes had small stars surrounding them as her mood increased positively. 

The Togepi egg reacted as it also shined.

After eating Ed returned to the living room and the one that took his attention was the shining egg. 

"Sis, has that egg been shining since I left to eat?" 

Cynthia looked at Ed confused, Ed could only point to the Togepi egg. 

"This, I don't know Ed but I read that if the pokemon egg were shining it meant it was about to hatch." 

"Woah" Hell it only reacts to you! On what Zeraora told him last night Ed hypothesised that the egg was only close to Cynthia. 

'Well I don't I already had a big problem with that mischievous Cleffa of mine' 

"Oh right Ed, Flygon wants me to be the trainer of the twin" 

Ed who heard it stared at Cynthia with a look of disapproval. (⁠눈⁠‸⁠눈⁠) 

"Really, they said that you already had so many pokemons with you." 

"How about we trade then" 

"Oh~ who do you want to trade?" 

"Cleffa?" Without any thinking, Ed chose his most mischievous pokemon but he didn't really want to give away his pokemon. But some part of him wants the Flygon.

"How about Ralts or Roselia then?" Cynthia teased

"No way, I'll fight you!" Ed was hit with his reverse scale again this time that one who want to have Flygon help deny this deal.

"Hahah I'm just joking around" Cynthia laughed as she saw her cousin's face

"You really need to control Cleffa" she added

"Well, it's okay she's still young after all. When you tend your pokemon you will see." 

While the two continued their talk the doorbell rang. 

Ding–~~

"I'll get it" 

Ed walked towards the gate and when he opened the gate he saw a man that was unfamiliar but familiar to him at the same time. He was together with a woman holding an infant and a little girl being held by him. 

His look was the same as that of Cynthia and Ralia. With the memory of Ed, he finally identified the guy. It was his uncle Alan. 

"Ed! Long time no see!" Alan greeted Ed. 

"Hello uncle" he also greeted the lady and child with his uncle. 

"Right Ed, this beautiful lady beside me is Rose. This girl is Daisy, your little cousin. Daisy greet you big brother" 

"Hwello" Daisy greeted Ed as she shyly covered her face back to her father's chest. 

"Hello Ed" Rose greeted Ed. Rose was a beautiful lady with Red-orange hair and green eyes.

"Ah right, this is Violet Ed" Alan also introduced the little child in Rose's arms. 

"Come inside auntie little sis" Ed invited as he led the group inside. He always felt that the name of the two was familiar to him.

When they arrived at the living room the one that greeted them was Grandpa Jin as he glared at his son. 

His glare scared Daisy which made the child shrink in her father's arms. When he saw Daisy, Grandpa Jin's eyes softened. 

"Sigh, I want to talk to you Alan and wife." 

"Let me take care of the children" Ralia proposed as Alan looked at Rose and nodded to her. 

"Hello there sister, if my brother is making trouble on you just tell me." Ralia greeted Rose with a smile as she took Violet in Rose's arms. Rose smiled as she felt that she was close to Ralia even though they just met. 

"Honey Daisy, would it be okay if I left you for a moment with your Auntie and cousin for a moment?" Alan asked Daisy, Daisy wanted to decline but she saw her little sister being taken care of by a beautiful Auntie. 

Then she saw an Azurill with its ball tail intrigued Daisy as this was the first time she saw an Azurill. 

With this, she accepted her father's request and got down. She was greeted by Azurill who gently nuzzled her. She giggled as she hugged Azurill. Azurill liked the hug so she let Daisy hug her. 

Seeing that their daughters were settled they followed Grandpa Jin with ease. 

The trio went to Alan's room to talk. 

*The house of Grandma Talya and Grandpa Yun was big. When their children were born they made room for each of their children and also their cousins. Cynthia was staying with Ralia in Ralia's room while Ed was staying in his mother's, Sonia's, room.

"Now speak, you unfilial brat, why you didn't give the news of your present situation? You only introduced Daisy but you didn't tell me about another child!" 

"Um… Sorry father." 

"Sigh, I'm sorry girl may I ask for your name?" 

"Hello there sir-" 

"Call me father" 

"Hello father, I'm Rose Waterflower, the present gym leader of Cerulean City" Rose introduced herself. 

"You're a gym leader?! Not only that, you're the gym leader of Cerulean city!" Grandpa Jin was startled and shifted his look at his son.

 He heard that the new gym leader of Cerulean City was a great water-type trainer in Kanto. He knew his son was also a little talented in battle but he couldn't believe that his son got to date a gym leader. 

"How did the two of you meet?" Grandpa Jin asked 

"Well, it was at that time when there was a water pokemon stampede in a town near Cerulean City. I helped fend off the stampede." 

"That was the first time we saw each other. I thought that I was the only one who could fend off the stampede but Alan helped me, no he just beat the stampede on his own. After that meeting I would challenge him to a battle and would always be lost" Rose narrated 

"Huh?" Grandpa Jin was stumped when he heard that his son could beat a talented trainer. 

"Are you sure? You're not raising the value of this brat in my face right?" Jin asked and this made Rose confused 

"What do you mean sir?" Rose asked

"Sigh, didn't I tell you that I'm not talented?" Alan reminded Rose

"Not talented? But that's impossible, the alliance even wants to invite you to become an elite member" Rose said 

"..." Grandpa Jin stared at them thinking all of this was an act

"Look at my father's face, ha, it couldn't be helped in our family. My aptitude in battling was average in their eyes." Alan said 

Rose looked at her boyfriend's helpless face as he explained to her wanting for her to believe and added with the shocked face of the elder when he heard that his son was invited to become one of the elite. 

'What kind of family of monsters do they have that they couldn't believe Alan was a talented trainer.' She still remembered the battle between him and Alan 3 years ago. 

"Sigh forget about those trainer stuff, I want to know why you didn't tell me about you two having children. Right you didn't answer me you bastard on why you only introduced me Daisy" 

Grandpa Jin was seething with anger at how neglectful his son was. Rose also looks at Alan confusedly. 

"What are you talking about old man, I told you that Daisy also had a sibling" Alan refuted his father 

"You told me?" Grandpa Jin 

"Yes, but I don't know if you heard it because you and Mom had a fight when I told you that" 

"..." Grandpa Jin stared at his son 

"..." Alan also stared at his father

"Are you ready to meet your mother?" Jin asked

"Yes, I want to introduce Rose to Mom" Alan resolutely said

"Sigh, yes your mom would like Rose and your daughters but you, I don't know. When you had a relationship you should have told your parents" 

"Tell me about when would the two of you get married?" Grandpa Jin asked 

"Next year father" Rose said 

"That's great then, let's go I want to greet my granddaughters" He didn't want to ask for the exact date as they could talk with it his wife. He was more concerned on bonding with his granddaughters.
