Life for a Fantasy: The Transmigrant's Survival Challenge

A philosopher once said "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. You get from the world what you give to the world." A line that manages to explain well the choices we make throughout our lives, be they good or bad and to Jacob's misfortune, his action had a terrible consequence, something cost him dearly.... After writing an unfair review detonating the book because there was a harem, the author of the book who happened to be a god, decided to give Jacob a punishment... The punishment would be to live the rest of his life inside the book that he hated so much and so he did. Being thrown into a mortal world where you have little information, what choices would you make? How would you survive? Would you depend on luck or decide your own fate? See how Jacob will do, in this new fantasy world... ________________________________ Author's note (^-^) Hi guys, I have to make a few things clear before you embark on the journey: The story is in third person, so if you don't like or are not used to that type, I recommend you rethink whether you should read it. English is not my first language, so there may be some mistakes in the writing, I ask you to help me if you find any. That's all, happy reading (^-^)

Elf kingdom

Rodric used sound magic around him and began to float towards the sky and turned into a huge dragon instantly.

Jacob who was the only one who could see him, was startled by his size and thought:

'This guy is bigger than the whole kingdom!'

Rodric even in his dragon form decided not to fly, because the simple flapping of his wings could easily devastate the kingdom.

He was using levitation magic on his body and soon after, used the same magic on Jacob's clothes and made him levitate to him.

Jacob looked at rodric who was a giant dragon with black scales and horns on his head and spoke:

"You look better this way, in this form you stop smiling like a lunatic."

Rodric looked calmly at Jacob and replied:

"But I am smiling..."

"But it doesn't change the fact that you look better in that form.... Anyway, shall we go soon?"

Rodric placed jacob next to his horn and replied cheerfully:

"So what will be the destination of our journey?"

"Our journey?"

"..."

"Sigh, it doesn't matter... We're going to the elven kingdom."

"Oh? What business do you have in the elven realms?"

"I am looking for a particular weapon."

Rodric was curious and excited to find out what that weapon was and asked:

"What kind of weapon?"

"A sword."

"Oh? And you know where sword is?"

"Yes..."

Rodric noticed Jacob's despondent tone and asked wanting to know more about:

"And where is the sword?"

"Sigh, in the safest place in the elf kingdom, the sword is Hanging from the waist of the elf king."

Rodric was shocked by that information and immediately recognized which sword Jacob was after and said warning him:

"I don't know your motives for going after that cursed sword, but know that that is a mistake. That sword is not something humans can wield."

"I know."

"Then why are you going after the sword?"

"Within that sword lies a heroine from the past, I want to break the curse and free her."

Rodric was even more shocked by that information, but because of his thousands of years of experience, he quickly returned to his normal state and asked:

"What do you want with this heroine? Do you want to make her yours or something?"

"No, I need to kill her and don't ask why."

"Hm, I won't ask, but if I may ask one more question.... How do you plan to get the sword from the most powerful elf?"

"I am still thinking about how to do that, maybe by the time we get there, I will have thought of something."

"I think it's just as well, why don't I go help him steal my old friend."

Jacob didn't answer him and just leaned on one of rudric's horns and wondered about the future....

Rodric began to levitate away from the kingdom so that he can finally flap his wings again and said when he was ready to begin his journey:

"Elf kingdom is our destination then.... According to my calculations, this journey will last around five hours, so let's get started!"

Rodric moved further away from the kingdom and began to flap his wings and started to fly to the elven kingdom...

A few hours later ...

Jacob woke up breathless and in a cold sweat after having a nightmare.

Rodric noticed that Jacob had woken up and spoke:

"You talk in your sleep and scream a few times..."

Jacob was trying to catch his breath and looked up at the skies and noticed the beautiful sunset and said:

"How much longer?"

"Not long, but are you okay?"

"Cough-cough, I'm fine, let me know when we get there."

Jacob sat back and rested his head on rodric's horns and listened to him say:

"I remember you had to tell your story..."

"Sigh, what do you want to know?"

"Let's see... When we were in the human realm, you were able to detect me even with me using divine level concealment magic, how did you do that?"

"I don't know, I just felt a presence behind me, it was something instinctive."

Rodric was not convinced by the answer he had received, but he left it as it was and asked another question:

"Were you tortured when you were being interrogated by Prince Erick?"

"Something like that happened.... But ask another question, remembering that it will be the last one I answer."

"Let's see... you are going where after the elven kingdom?"

Jacob was silent for a while as he thought and after a few moments he answered:

"Dwarven kingdom, there will be a competition in a few weeks between all the races and the prize will be a weapon that negates mana."

"Hm... Are you going to participate because of a weapon with anti-magic? You know it's not beneficial to use it, right?"

"I know, the weapon also denies the user's mana."

"Then why?"

Jacob lay back and answered:

"Enough questions, let me know when we arrive."

"Hm... If you hadn't been able to detect me before, I'd probably think you were a fool, but since it's you... I'd say you're someone mysterious with cryptic goals, jacob voss."

Jacob didn't answer him and stood admiring the landscape as he reflected on his life...
