CH.8. FIGHT BACK!!

CURRENT TIME:-8:55 AM.

THUD!!

Something hits hard on the ground.

The four figures slowly turn to witness the sound and a glimpse of horror pass their faces with the sight.

A pale body lies on the ground, his clothes tattered, and injuries lay all over his body.

Min ah looks at her horrified friends.

The stairs echo with staggering sounds soon after, and a person with bloodshed hands appears on the stairs.

The students from the class cling to the window to witness the figures by the stairs.

"What's that?", Il-Song stretches his head further through the glass windows. His eyes widen as he witnesses a figure unconscious on the ground.

He then gets down from the chair and rushes to the site.

" What's with him?", the other students look at each other unbothered and also stride towards the window still.

Il-Song arrives at the site when the figure on the stairs with bloody hands suddenly turns towards them and starts making weird noises.

"What's going on?", he looks at the terrified faces beside him.

They all shake their head with their eyes fixed on the suspicious figure in front of them.

The mad figure starts smelling around and releases a loud growl and rushes down the stairs towards the figures, who stood startled by the unconscious student on the floor.

Min ah gets startled as the figure runs towards them and as a reflex, her legs move on their own.

" Ya!! Run!! fast!!", She turns and starts running towards the door.

The others follow her being closely followed by the mad figure.

"What is wrong with this student by the way? Shit!", Yong Soo whines frustrated, as he tries his best to catch up with his friends with his huge healthy-looking body.

The other students get confused with their sudden actions and all gather at the door.

" What is it?".

"Why are they running with those faces", one of the students sneers.

" Ya!! get inside!! fast!!", Min ah runs and squeezes inside the class within the crowd of their classmates.

The others follow her closely with Yong Soo almost close behind.

"Ya!! move!!", he tries to catch his breath and moves aside from the students, and squeezes inside, his huge body almost nudging every student he passes aside.

" Ya!! close the door!! fast!!!", Min ah shouts as their classmates stood with confused faces by the door.

"What is wrong? why are you acting like that? it's scary!", the student sneers looking at their terrified, panicked, and out-of-breath faces.

As the student turns towards the door to find the cause of their terrifying actions, a figure arrives in front of him and leaps upon him.

The other students get startled and scamper back from the frantic student and the student being gorged by it.

The four figures behind stand aloof from the scene in front of them.

Ji- woo's eyes fill with tears as she sees a familiar student being gorged by one of them.

She staggers to her feet and grips Min Ah's sweater with her hand.

The frantic figure growls as he raises his head and the student he gorged falls down unconscious on the ground with injuries running through his body. He then scurries to the nearest of him and leaps him down. The other students back away further, some with falling tears.

" Run!!", one of the students utter those words with a screeching voice.

All of them follow her voice and start scrambling through the door avoiding the mad figure.

The four behind follow reflexively behind the other students. Each is terrified as they cross the mad figure.

They soon reach out of the door when the crowd stops moving.

Min ah tiptoes on her feet anxiously, as she continuously checks the mad figure gorging on her classmates, "What is it? why aren't they moving!", she stamps her feet and whines," ah! hurry! move quickly!", she checks the mad figure once again.

"Ahhh!!!!", they hear a scream from the front.

" What?", Il Song peeks through the crowd but nothing comes into his sight.

The scream continues and the crowd starts scraping backward, The students get pushed by themselves, and some fall on the ground while some are stomped upon by their classmates. Soon the front becomes visible and the sight of the earlier unconscious body by the stairs is seen gorging on one of the students at the front.

The students stand in the middle, running out of options for escape.

Their only option was the class next to them, 'Class 1-4'. The students turn to change their direction and the four figures on the demise are pushed by the other students and are scraped towards the corner.

The crowds get more chaotic as the frantic figures multiply with the gorged students coming back to life, starving for flesh and blood.

Soon the earlier students in the front, get disadvantaged and are caught up with the mad figures.

Min ah and her friends snap out of their gazes and run towards the other class.

The students all rush towards the class and close the door shutting half of them followed closely by the lunatic figures outside.

Min ah rushes towards the door as she sees it being closed. She tries to open the clutch, "Ya!! open!! fast!! what are you doing?", her words stammer as her eyes fill with tears.

Young-soo comes to the front and tries opening the clutch, he bangs loudly on the door as the students inside it stare terrified, without moving from their stances.

Il Song looks at his struggling friends and back at the frantic figures and the struggling classmates in their grasp.

One of the students comes forward to open the door when a frantic figure is sighted and comes running toward them.

Min ah looks with hope at her classmate, her eyes going back and forth with the mad figure rushing towards them, but her hope goes in vain as the classmate backs off with the sight of the mad figure.

Il Song looks at his friends and his face rages at his classmates staying selfishly inside the classroom," s*it!".

He strides towards the mad figure and BANG!!

forces a hard blow on its head. The mad figure stumbles down but soon staggers up to stand.

The other figures standing by the door gaze at him.

Young Soo firms his face and strides towards a window still and grips it tightly and forces it on a pull.

Il Song looks at him in a daze with Min ah and Ji Woo sharing the same daze of confusion.

The frantic figure gets back to its feet and leaps on Il song, he blows him hard and pushes him aside.

Young Soo by the window still uses all his strength.

Il Song walks to him and taps his shoulders, "Ya, What are you doing?", he looks at the sweating Yong so.

Young So releases his hand and tilts his head," Trying to help you!", he looks at Il Song and pushes him aside, and Bang!! blows a hard strike with his leg on the mad figure leaping on Il Song.

Min ah looks at the scene behind, the students lying on the floor multiplying the mad figures.

She looks behind her and back at her friends, "guys! Run !!", she turns and starts running, pulling Ji Woo along with her.

Il Song and Young So follow her close behind with shaky looks.

As they run, Yong Soo stops in the middle and clings to a window.

Min-ah looks behind her and finds Young Soo by the window, clinging to it.

The mad figures soon rush towards them, Min ah reaches to Young So and pulls him," Ya!! What are you doing?".

They run to the end, followed closely by the mad figures.

They enter a door and slam the door behind.

All of the four puffing, with their breaths out of place.

" Washroom?", Yong So stands straight and notices his surroundings, Ahh!! right!", his face expressing the thought of realization.

Il Song straightens and places his hand on Yong So's shoulders, "By the way! What is wrong with you?", his face with a hint of anger.

Young Soo looks at Il Song confused," What?".

"About earlier!! why we're you clinging to the windows?", Il Song looks at him with wide eyes.

" Ahh!! that!!!", Yong So snickers with realization.

"Ya! Why are you laughing", Ji woo glares at him. Min ah slaps him hard on his back," right!! ya!! Are you crazy? Earlier, if I hadn't pulled you with me then you were a goner!", she shouts.

Young So rubs his back," ah!", and looks at his friends, who were gazing at him.

"No! I was trying to pull that window out, to make it a weapon!", he says confidently.

" What?", the other figures look at him surprised.

"No!!, I saw it! In the series! The student takes out the window still and hits the zombie with that.", He gestures the words with his actions as well," But, earlier when I tried to pull it out my hands went numb but it didn't come out!!", He scratches his head.

"What? Ya is this a movie! or a drama? No! Right! so what are you talking about? Also!! Zombie?", Min ah sneers at him, her face confused in anger.

" What? What is it then? The students were acting crazy like the ones we see in zombie movies!! Ain't I right?", he looks around in thought.

The other figures look at each other.

"Right!! They Look the same!", Ji woo exclaims.

" Ahhh!!! ", a scream is heard outside the door.

Il Song tips his toes on his feet and stretches his neck to look outside from the gap at the top of the door, "Ya!!! It started I guess".

"What?", Yong Soo follows him and stretches his body to catch a glimpse of the hallway.

Il Song looks outside with a smirk on his face. Yong So and the others look at each other in confusion.

Il Song gets to his feet," The Class 1-4...", and his words get cut.

"Ah...don't talk about that crazy guys!!", Min ah glares.

" Right!! How can they be so selfish? We are classmates, right? So we have been studying together for so long!!!", Ji woos rages in anger.

Il Song smirks," Well, they got what they sowed!".

"What do you mean?", Yong So looks at this face.

"They all are now probably zombies!!", He gestures his hand to point to the hallway.

" What??", Min ah looks confused.

"Earlier I saw a girl being bitten by one of the figures roaming in the hallway and she managed to escape!".

" So?", Ji woo looks at him.

"So? She went together with others to Classes 1-2! So? what do you think happened if the mad figures roaming the hallway are zombies?", Il Song looks at the three figures.

" She also turned into one of them!!", Min ah glances at him with a questioning look.

"Bingo!!", Il song clasps his hands.

" But! Why didn't you say it to the other students?", Ji woo asks concerned.

"Why should I? Did they let us in when we pleaded?", He raises his eyebrows.

Ji woo stoops her head down.

" Forget about them! What are we going to do?", Il song looks at his friends.

"We should get out!! Out of this school!", Min ah says firmly.

" But, How?", Ji woo asks.

"Fight!!! We should fight, right?", Yong So looks at his friends, his eyes gleaming.

His friends stare at him.

" No? How do you expect to go out!! Will the zombies leave the way for you?", He sneers.

The other Three figures get in a thought.

After some minutes of silence. Min- ah turns, with her back on her friends.

They couldn't stay in the washroom forever, not when they do not know what was exactly going on.

Young Soo walks back and forth anxious, "Ah!! It won't work! What are you thinking about so much?", Yong So asks with wide eyes.

" Let's go! We have Il Song!," he taps Il Song's shoulders, "He can fight! Our class delinquent!", his eyes glinting with pride.

" Ya!! What do you think? I skip schools doesn't mean I can fight!", Il Song smirks and raises his eyebrows.

"So, you cannot fight?", Yong Soo looks at him with disappointment.

" Of course, I can!!", Il Song straightens his collars and coughs.

"Okay??! Let's go!!", Yong Soo turns towards the door determined.

" ya!", Min ah pulls him by his sweater looking annoyed.

"We must make a plan first!", she explains.

" I have! A plan?", Yong So glances at his friends who had a surprised look.

Young Soo comes closer to his friends, "First, we have to pass two floors down to get out of the school! so, I and Il Song will take the lead and you two will stay at our back!", He smiles.

" That's your plan?", Ji woo stares at him.

Young Soo nods his head innocently.

"We have no other option, right?", He gazes at his friends, " You two girls cannot fight! So Il Song will do the fighting part and I will defend with my huge body and also beat them!" he smiles...

Young Soo had spoken about the fact that the others couldn't deny.

They decided to go with the so-called plan of Yong So.

Young So determinedly turns towards the door, Il Song gets ready for a fight and the two girls stay behind, their hearts pounding faster with each time the clock ticks by.

" Okay!! Let's go!!", Yong So opens the door.
