Alchemist Combat Specialty

"It's look like you are now able to cast spells faster," Ian said in approval. She manage to hit him once, which is a great achievement. Then again, he still holding back, and he planned to stop doing it now.

"Now, we go from moving enemies to attacking enemies. Don't get cocky, as I will show you how badly out lass you are when I get serious," Euralle prepared herself. Surely she will able to hold her ground for a minute, right?

-x-

"Urgh," Euralle felt like her stomach had been used as a training dummy. Considering the condition, which is the training will not stop until an hour had passed or she fainted, it is a tough training.

Not to mention, Ian did not hold back. Whenever Fiona start the spar, she was blasted on her gut, being sent flying in a few seconds. Sometimes, she manage to last longer than that, but usually another 5 seconds, or less.

And she had never been able to cast a spell, becoming more and more like a training dummy than a human.

"This is the hardest difficulty. I will hold back after this. But this is just a glimmer of what I can do if I do my best," she nodded, thinking with out a doubt Ian would be a Silver Rank adventurers, with ease.

"I will heal you, then we will try to find your specialty," Euralle's eyes brighten up at the mentioned of her specialty.

"What do you think my specialization would be?" she asked the two.

"I think it something about control. Alchemists have some of the best mana controls of any person who use mana. If you want to get more involve, try finding something that will help you improve. In your case, something you already have advantage of, your superb mana control,"

She nodded before trying to cast a spell. She tried to control the amount of mana, yet it still feel lackluster for him. There should be a better way to use her mana control.

She then thought of something, "Ian, is it possible to change directions after casting the spell, or making the spell movement slightly, unorthodox?"

Hearing this, Ian mused before shaking his head, "I don't know," this cause Euralle to lower her head in dejection.

"But," she raised her head again, "it might be possible for you. It will take you sometime before you can perfect it but it is a start," she nodded, eager to start her training.

-x-

"Arcane Shot!" she cried out, trying to curve the shot. While it manage to do so, it still not good enough to be viable in a real fight.

Fiona put her hand on Euralle's shoulder. "It take time to create a variation of a spell, not to mention creating one from scratch. As long you as you are dedicated and keep on working hard, you can achieve what you wanted,"

Euralle nodded, feeling her spirit become more pump up. She is planning on continuing her training when she was lifted and carried like a sack of potatoes.

"Waaah," she cried out, Ian laughing lightly on her expense.

"You need some rest. Tomorrow, we can keep on perfecting the spell variation," she lightly grumbled before accepting it, her mind drifting towards the dream world.

-x-

"Looks like you manage to perfect it," Ian said. They had set up several targets and put it behind a tree, and let Euralle cast her new spell variation, and she manage to hit all of it without breaking a sweat.

"It would work in a niche but it will be useful in hitting a target behind any cover. Though, we should try to make it so it would work upward, like you shot it upward and it will curve downward and hit the target if there are no opening at the side," Ian offered his insight.

"That is one more thing to work about, but this is only the start of it," Euralle said confidently.

"Oh, what you have in mind?" Fiona asked.

"I will just show you, but I need a moving target," cocking their brows at her words, Ian volunteered immediately. After all, he had been her practice target before, so it would not be much of a difference now.

"Arcane Shot," she cast the simple spell again, though it is the curved variant. It curve followed the similar curve, allowing Ian to predict it movement. When it get curve, Ian easily step back, avoiding it completely. That is when a new curveball occurred.

The spell curve again, forcing him to dodge again, before it curve once more, the final dodge did the work as it no longer able to follow him, hitting the ground next to him.

"What is that?" Fiona asked what he had in mind.

"This is the complete variant. I think it can be consider a new spell. The spell will target a singular person, and it will follow it until the mana in it ran out," she explained.

"Mana ran out?" the two teacher asked.

"Yes, essentially, I make it able to ran longer and able to move like that by adding more mana and using my control to make it home in on the target. The only thing it's need is a name," she said.

"How about Arcane Missile?" Ian suggested. The missiles in his old world could home in on target too, so he think it is a fitting name for it.

"Arcane Missile, I like it!" Euralle said, finding the name went smoothly from his tongue.

"Looks like you have more spells in your arsenal. For now, you need have more experience. Training can only do so much. Tomorrow, we will be hunting monsters but we will not take any commissions. We will hunt monsters in our leisure," Ian said

"Why don't we accept commissions as well?" Euralle asked.

"I want to make you go on your own pace. No need to rush it. After getting more experience of fighting monsters will we take commissions as well," he explained.

Seeing she could not change his mind, she accepted it.

"So, are we done for today?" she asked, hope can be heard in her voice.

The two shared a smile before nodding.

"Yes, we are done for today. Let's get some rest and prepared yourself. Tomorrow will be your trial by fire,"
