The child's voice sounded like he wanted to cry, but he could not let out any tears.

Soma quickly ran toward the other side of the road so the shadow would not catch him.

The kid covered in shadows passed Soma and breathed a sigh of relief once he was left alone safely.

The small interaction took years off Soma's life span, and he considered himself 'lucky' this time.

However, he was sure the elder entity was planning something on this floor.

"This situation looks worse than I initially anticipated. I need to be careful."

Soma quickly retreated into the shadows and waited for his time.
