CHAOS

'(groans) hmm! I'm I dead? why can't I feel my body, heaven? hell? where am i?' feeling his sense of control coming back to him Temi slowly opened his only to quicky close it as the brightness he glimpsed threatened to blind him.

He waited for a few moments before deciding to sit up as he had found himself in a lying position. And slowly he brought himself up but with his eyes closed. but strangely enough he could feel that nobody was around him. to be more accurate he could feel that up to a certain distance there was no presence at all. it felt really strange and weird knowing about stuff while sitting in the same position. but he ignored it thinking maybe it was just his own imagination. after a few moments of waiting he decided to open his eyes again but rather at a more slower rate as he has already process the level of brightness before. Eventually opening his eyes the scene before him made his eyes widened in shock and flood of memories assaulted him. All around him most building structures had collapsed or dilapidated. cars, the school gate and everything metal had been reshaped into unknown shapes. he couldn't see trees as far as his sight to go, what he noticed were only new sprout of weeds.

Taking in the memories, he remembered all the events until he blanked out, the excruciating pain making him feel tingles all over. Looking back to the school building, it had all crumbed down 'f*ck! Oh God! mrs. Vernon, she was inside..'

He couldn't understand what happened or what was going on at all, to him it seemed he had entered an apocalypsed world and standing in the ruins he looked like the last man on earth, if he didn't catch a glimpse of it happening before blanking out he would have thought he was transmigrated here 'did the world end? f*ck! what's wrong with your brain how will the world end and you will be the only one alive, well, except ofcourse you were even rejected by the god of death itself, sh*t, just stop!' he bemoaned himself, trying to run the possibility of what might have happened. suddenly he thought 'wait, did aliens invade?!'

...

All over the world world, people found themselves waking up into an unfamiliar environment because the world they once knew was not what they were looking at as there were ruins everywhere and though they could pinpoint where they were before the blackout they couldn't figure out where to go and more troubled as they couldn't find their families or relatives. The event had happened on a normal work day when everyone was on and about with their daily activities before the sudden black out, and now no phone or any other means of communication was working, every communication equipments that stood tall had been ruined, cars reshaped as if they had melted in, people had to start walking to locations they perceived to be their former residence or where one agency or the other might have been who might have at least a little explanations to this unknown phenomenal. It is strange though but little by little everyone started noticing how they are now more self aware of both themselves and their surroundings. It's like they've gotten a sixth sense as they could feel the presence of any living thing a few meters close to them. And this made them more wary of each other but surprisingly enough nobody was hostile to each other. After the initial caution, people who meet up would try to seek to know if any of them had an inkling of an idea as to what happened or give a description of who they are looking for, but non had an idea about anything at all. and with this people kept moving about scattered and suddenly without purpose whatsoever except of course those who had took it upon themselves to look for their families.

Night soon came and this is when people began to discover a lot of changes about themselves for one they couldn't comprehend how they now had the ability to see in the dark, it was as if everything was lighting itself up, but if anyone was to be looking at them they would discover that there is a hue of different colors of light around their irises. It was definitely incredible, as everyone began to realise the event had truly done something to them more so was the fact that most had been walking for almost the whole day yet there had been little to no fatigue at all as if they had been resting all this while or just return from a little walk, but they have yet to discover what had truly happened to them because if they knew, their mind might decide to go blank again without any external influence this time

Quickly days had gone by and a lot of people had discovered how critical of a devastation the event had been though it had brought alot of things which people are beginning to discover, it had also brought a lot of problems and pains as it has destabilised every life and thrown everyone into chaos no one knew whether their families or friends are alive, have been buried under buildings or involved in accidents as the evidence where everywhere. only few people have fortunately met up either by coincidence or luck but it doesn't solve the problem of no longer having a shelter to live in. The only upside is cold nights were having little to no effect on their body as their body seem to be resisting the cold on their own it allowed people to survive the cold, harsh and brutal nights. And one of the people who had survived such a night again was Temi, sitting on one of the dilapidated structure of what was formerly a house that used to be his home. He held his head within his arms as he seem to be lost in thought. He had walked for days striding over kilometers before he was able to pinpoint this place. Only to not find anyone he knew, he wondered where his mom could have been, she works at a bank and closes in the evening but who knows whether she could have been on an assignment that took her off her office, who knew where she is now, he really hoped she didn't stay in her office before all buildings came crumbling down. And his dad had traveled a day before the event to oversee a business affair as a supervisor of his company. Now there is no way he could get to him and there wasn't an assurance that they'll ever meet now. His little sister should have stayed at her friends house a few blocks away but now that no building is standing he really wish she didn't. His brain was spinning with thoughts as he didn't know what to do next, he had quite a good family and a comfortable life apart from school but now all that is gone in an instant. But before he could make any decision on what to do next, a buzzing sound was closing in and it seems mechanical 'hum! a machine?' his eyes widened as he sensed that the sound was coming from above which made him look up. People far and near him were also replicating his action at this moment.

As a matter of fact what had descended was nothing like they had ever seen. It was staying afloat without any law of physics they knew holding it up. It looked almost like an egg but there was a rim around it with what looked almost like transparent glass tubes linking it together with the egg in three places. The rim itself was emitting a radiant blue circular light beneath which conform with the shape of the rim. and it was not the only one as there were many of it descending all over the planet not making any noise apart from the mechanical buzzing sound. When it was visible enough for people to see in the air. it all stopped and a cylinder like compartment started to protrude, after few seconds it stopped. And what happened next is what shocked every eyes looking up as the could see a projection. A projection of a man

"Hello everyone"
