chapter 9- old wounds open

It wa pass Kimberly's closing time, but she was waiting for Alex since there were supposed to have dinner together. Why the hell is she waiting for Alex she kept asking herself inwardly, this is definitely not how she treats other guys but why is she treating him differently ? Those questions kept popping in her head.

No no no no no I can't rally be thinking of Alex right now, Kim what is wrong with you for god sake? [baby gal you finally have a crush on someone] her sub conscience teased her

"Wait no I do not have any crush, I hate guys so he wouldn't be different from the rest period" she heard her mind laugh at her when she said those words. She sat down on one of the tables in the regular section busy playing games with her phone to pass time while waiting for Alex to arrive.

" Sarah" she heard the name that only few people call her her family, bestie and ... it finally clicked she looked up to see the man she never thought she would see again, it has been four years since she last saw this face.

It was Micheal and he is with a pregnant woman whom she recognize as the person he cheated on her with[wow so now they are expecting a baby] as the thought fame to her she felt as though something has been ripped out of her life but no she refused to cry, she would never cry in front of These fuckers, so she put on a suprsed but arrogant expression on her face.

"Micheal ?? Wow look at you, you look better than when I last saw you four years ago, it's so good to see you and your wife" she uttered arrogantly but deep down she felt her old wounds open again. " look Sarah I....." " Kimberly, it's Kimberly, only people close to me can call me Sarah the rest is Kimberly" she cut him off. Hearing those words from her mouth her mouth, Micheal felt all his hope shattering into pieces, yes he cheated on her once but he never meant for Bianca to get pregnant for him, she tricked him by creating a hole in the condom that night, and now he had to marry Bianca even if she lost the baby back then else he might loose his inheritance, he still loved Kimberly and was earnestly waiting for a divorce to come back to her, he kept looking for her all this while until he saw the headlines last week.

He stared at Kimberly awkwardly till his phone suddenly rang, he excused himself to answer the call leaving alone his wife and his ex. Kim shrugged her shoulders seeing Micheal's wife staring at her like an hawk. " you should sit since you're pregnant, it won't be good for the baby" she offered "let's cut it out, I don't like you Kimberly" Bianca said rudely to Kim

" and how is that my business? Darling trust me, heater you like me or not if doesn't affect me sweetheart" Kim replies making Bianca boil with Ràge. "Kimberly you bitch how were you able to tie my husband down,huh answer me how are you still able to make him love you even after four years even when he still have a wife?" Bianca whispered but loud enough for Kim to hear and wonder how Micheal still loved her. " Bianca you were able to marry him right, was I crazy then nope I left you to your happy ever after so that question should be asked to Micheal" Kim replied with a smirk that made Bianca explode the more

" You bitch I would rather die than let you have Micheal"

" oh darling you should better start dying but just a friendly advice I'm not a dog that goes back to its vomit so you don't have to dye Okay" Kim replied and turned to leave when she saw Micheal string at her with hurt in his eyes, she was sure that he heard what she had just said now. She walked to him "Micheal I have to go now it's nice seeing you okay and forget what we had you have a wife now so be responsible" she said before leaving.

10 minutes later

Kimberly was still waiting for Alex now she is really trying to understand why she is waiting for him, why can't she just go home, she would have called him but damm she doesn't even have his phone number. She felt the urge to pee so she left for the bathroom, after peeing she was about to return back when she felt a hand grab her arm. She raised her face to see Micheal who seemed kind of drunk and it scared her.

"Micheal what the Fuchs are you doing you dimwit, what the hell is wrong with you?" " Sarah I'm so sorry I...."

"I told you to stop calling me Sarah it's Kimberly for you" she yelled at him but instead he held her waist tight causing her to flinch in pain due to his tight grip on her waist.

" Kimberly I miss you,pls tell me you miss me and all you said was just a lie" he asked. " no micheal I ever missed you, now let me go you psycho" she said but deep down she knew it was a lie, when he left she got shattered, but this time she is going to move on for real.

"Kimberly you've changed" he said tracing on of his fingers on her cheeks while she cower in disgust. " of course I changed, who wouldn't change, and get your fingers off my face this instant" she glared at him in disgust. Micheal felt a tear drop from his eyes this sight caused Kim to have a sense of pity on him

" look Micheal, what we had was beautiful but even beautiful things end, Micheal I have moved on so the earlier you move on the better, and lastly don't you ever try connering me again I would make sure you end in a place that even your baby won't see you again" she threatened before storming off.

Unknowingly to them Alex saw everything,at first he was curious on why this man was following his little tigress but it turns out that the dude was her ex Micheal. He saw Micheal trying to hold her again and that is when he lost his shit.

" let the lady go" Alex said all of a sudden. Kim was happy that he was finally here so she walked towards him smiling while Micheal was shocked as he recognize the man as Alexander Chen, but why is he saving Kimberly ?

" little tigress are you okay ?" He asked filled with concern. " let's just go Alex"

He placed his hand at the small of her back, as they left the place. " I'll drive you home, Zeke will drive your car behind us" Alex said while she just nodded exhaustedly about what just happened.

He glanced at the lady beside him as she closed her eyes while sighing. " are you okay?" He asked worried about her silence " does it always feel this way?" She finally spoke

" I don't get why I feel this way, I feel like the old wounds that I have tried so hard to cover up finally opened again, I swear I thought I had moved in from Micheal but it hurts to see your first love again, The memories came rushing back to my head, I remembered how he fucked her in our anniversary and how he married her in front of me like I was nothing to him. Alex pls say the truth I'm I really nothing?" She said forcing herself not to cry but she leaned on him for comfort

"Wait how can you say that, being a tigress isn't nothing remember how you broke my body guard's nose that day?" Alex said making Kimberly laugh out at the memories of that day. " yeah it was hilarious" she laughed

" you see that isn't nothing at all, you even saved that girl the same day it wasn't nothing and to top it all, if Micheal tries to come near you, you can scratch his face beyond recognition with your tigress claw" Alex finally said making her laugh out loud, he didn't even know what was funny about what he was saying that made Kim laugh but he is happy that he made her laugh.

" thank you" she suddenly said

" err for what?" He asked confused

" for making me laugh"

" honestly I really don't know how I made you laugh but you better enjoy it while it last and besides it isn't for free, you have to make me dinner okay" he said

Alex's stomach grumbled , he blushed in embarrassment as Kim laughed at him. " I can't believe my stomach sold me out" Alex complaining pouting his lips. Kimberly was laughing at him when ~Grrrrrrr ~~ her tummy grumbled too making her hide her face in shame while Alex smirked at her. She playfully hit his chest " you're such a jerk, be happy that I'm hungry or else you would Steve tonight" she murmured making him smile.
