28.Priority(?)

Yuki and Aki were being led by the imperial guards towards the quarters of the crown prince.

Aki's hand was held by Yuki and after walking for around 2 minutes, Yuki felt a tug at her hand. She paused and looked back at the little child, only to see that his face was unusually flushed and he was fidgeting, even his eyes were misty.

Yuki was alerted and went closer before checking his temperature and asking at the same time, "Are you not feeling well?"

This child was a bit tender so, she had to take better care of him. The temperature she felt was normal and Aki too shook his head, just that--

Aki whispered in a small voice, "Onee-chan, I want to pee-pee", only he knows how nervous he has been all this time and now that, the meeting with the Emperor was over and his nerves relaxed, his bladder was so full that, he won't be able to control it much longer.

Yuki heard him and directly turned to the imperial guard and asked, "Can you take us to the closest washroom?", though her tone was unhurried, her eyes spoke that it was an emergency.

The guard quickened his pace and took them to the closest washroom which was on the other side of the long pavilion they were walking by, they reached just in time and Aki without a care about anything, burst into the washroom; he actually did a great job controlling till now.

Yuki thought about it and entered another washroom on the side, she wasn't full, but it's better to take care of it now than later.

On that note, the public washrooms were separated by sex rather than the gender, but because the Omegas were still distinct they had separate washrooms for male and female omegas in contrast to the common washroom for beta and alpha females and common washroom for beta and alpha men; the pheromones that omega released during their heat may not make the betas lose their sanity, but in rare cases, even that was possible while the pheromones during alpha's rut only affected the omegas so, omegas as a whole got separate washrooms; then again, it was only for the commoners while nobles didn't use the public washrooms.

The one Yuki and Aki entered were in the imperial palace and were actually part of the guest rooms.

After doing her business, Yuki washed her hands, dried them and then came out only to hear, "Kyaah!", it was the frightened sound of Aki from inside the room. She was able to hear it as the door to the room was left open, she also didn't see the guard around and without having a second to think, she breaks into the room, at this moment, Aki's safety was her first priority!!

The room was huge and the washroom was separated by a wall, Yuki ran fast and shouted, "Aki, don't worry... I'm here", it was both to warn the perpetrator and also give Aki some relief, in a few seconds she reached the wall that separated and with a fast movement took a look at the door which was at the end of the wall, there she saw, Aki who was sobbing as he knelt down and another young kid, probably around her age, was standing there with a confused look on his face.

Yuki, who had never raised her voice and did it for the first time just now, finally relaxed a bit... Aki was safe!

She sped towards the kid and took him to her embrace, as she patted his back rhythmically, "It's alright... Calm down...", she whispered into his ears.

Feeling the warmth of his beloved Onee-chan, Aki calmed down a lot, after a few moments, his breathing evened out as well...

Yuki felt it and slowly asked, "What happened?"

Aki who had calmed down, slowly looked up at the boy who has been standing there for a while now with misty eyes, Aki was a bit embarrassed because he had caused a fuss without meaning to and also sorry towards this Onii-chan, he seems to have startled him.

All that had happened was, after he had emptied his bladder, the shame that has been suppressed came back and after drying his hands, he became absent-minded and opened the door, the narrow hallway between the washroom and the bedroom was separated by a wall, and the light was not as bright as outside so, when he dazedly opened the door and suddenly someone appeared and asked him with a cold tone, "Who are you?"... he got so scared that he had cried out loud, now that he had to explain it, he wanted to dig a hole and get inside that... it was such an embarrassing thing to do!!

He was so rude to the Onii-chan as well!!

The young boy who had been standing like a statue, unable to do anything for this crying child finally got out of his daze when he saw the timid face of the child, something ticked inside him and he, who treated his words like platinum and also never cared about others issues, for a change, decided to speak for this fragile child. He said in his flat tone, " I seem to have frightened him. I shouldn't have called him out like that....", he paused before giving a small bow, "I apologise for that...", if the Emperor knew that his child, who was never sorry for anything said this, he would be so happy that, he would like to offer a national holiday on this day every year.
