Cabal Holt to Cabal Whitlocke

It took us almost three hours to find the source of corruption beneath Lausanne. It took us almost as long to claw our way back to the surface despite having left markers to guide us.

The world above had no idea what transpired deep beneath it and had not noticed the thermite that had reduced everything to ash. To the best of my knowledge, the cavern is still there underneath the lake.

Secondary combat teams would scour everything with flame and seal off the cavern entries with explosives. Bringing down the roof was probably not a good idea, but it was someone else's decision. My Cabal and its support elements would have nothing to do with those operations.

Like that night beneath Froideville, the mission accomplished, the crisis contained, Armageddon averted, albeit temporarily.
