Chapter 2: Just a hunch

Taiyo is a 15 year old boy that, ever since he was a child, strived to be known as one of the greatest element users in the world.

Along with his brother Kinishi, Taiyo saw his parents die right in front of him in a scorching fire when he was only 5 years old and Kinishi being 6. Now jumping to the present, after a traditional 3-way battle, he starts to see something quite... disturbing.

"It's almost time just a little longer."

What is this, where am i?

"Sir, someone is spying on us"

"What makes you say so"

"There is an eyeball staring at us intensely." Are they talking about me?!

"go destroy it"

"right away sir"

Oh shoot, they're getting closer. "AHHHHH... huh?"

Taiyo finds himself waking up in a place that used to be a grass field but is now a crater. He starts to walk out of the crater and sees Kinishi and Kyusoku washing their hands with water. "What happened." Taiyo questioned.

"We burned our hands trying to lift you out of that crater." Kinishi replied angrily

"Oh yeah, I was going to tell you not to touch me before I blacked out but, as you saw, I blacked out before I could say anything," Taiyo said.

"Welp lessons learned, Any who as promised the winner decides what to eat." Kyusoku said

"Let's go get some Yakitori," Taiyo said.

As they were walking, Taiyo was wondering if he should tell them about the "dream" he saw.

*Should I tell them about what I saw?* Taiyo thought ... *No its not relevant, i'll tell them later... not now*

After eating, Taiyo and Kinishi went to continue training and Kyusoku went somewhere else for private meditation. Once it was nighttime, Taiyo went to sleep with an unsettling feeling.

He had a hard time sleeping and kept twisting and turning until it was morning when he had woken up, with only 4 hours of sleep.

During all this time despite the fact that there was danger approaching, he wasn't scared, no, he was excited.

They were running out of money that they had saved up and hearing about a tournament that gives a lot of money to first place duos, they decided to sign up. They went to train and worked out some moves for the tournament.

Some time passed (about 3 months) and the day of the tournament finally arrived.
