Chapter 4 - Moving out

A fair colored young man, black haired with leaf green eyes that's full of disbelief. Infront of him a dead man with dark green veins and blood oozing from his mouth. How could a single strike do such damage? He still can't believe that his dagger is really overpowered. Obviously Zenki is not shocked about him killing someone for he has seen someone getting killed in a much more brutal way.

"George?"

"George!?"

"GEORGE!!?? STOP PLAYING AROUND!?!"

Hearing the shout, Zenki brought himself back to his senses. Standing while holding his dagger with dark red blood dripping at the tip.

He's currently thinking how could he land a sneak attack to the tall guy. Knowing that the guy may think he has an extraordinary power or incredibly sharp weapon, the tall guy will be cautious and will not hold his strength. He knows that the other guy is smart and not as arrogant like the one he previously killed.

"George why aren't you answering!?!" Daniel yelled as he hurriedly run outside to see what happened.

After getting a closer to the hut he saw a body, full with dark green veins and a rather big cut on his neck, and a puddle of dark red blood and dark green poison while it lies. Motionless.

The moment he saw the body he knew exactly what happened. George didn't think that his opponent is worthy enough so he became careless that led to a tragic death.

Daniel is not like George, he drew his sword and held it tightly with two hands. He prepared his skill 'Slashing Swords' , its already at max level so it would not be problem killing his foe at full strength. Especially because his foe doesn't specialize in vitality. But he's still alert while he stride over the corpse.

He detected that someone is looking at him but couldn't figure where the guy might be. He searched carefully at his sorroundings while gripping his sword. He looked at the door which is open, slowly approaching as he smelled an awful fragrance coming from the mixture of blood and poison. He couldn't help but cover his nose.

But as Daniel loosen his grip trying to cover his nose with the other hand, Zenki jumped from the roof causing it to jiggle a bit. Holding his dagger he yelled inside his head 'Dagger Dash!'.

Daniel still cautious as he was, tried to counter Zenki's attack also using his skill 'Slashing Swords'. "Clang!" metals sounded as they cross each other. Zenki landed at Daniel's back as blood drip on his face.

As their weapons collide, the sharpness of the dagger didn't disappoint the sword. The dagger cut the sword half like it was just a mere tofu. Then the dagger directly hits Daniel's eye, cutting through his head. Immediately you can see his veins turned dark green as it bulged, making him look like his holding his breath for minutes but in reality only 2 seconds just passed.

Daniel frozed. Slowly he dropped down, with a hint of shock and disbelief in his face. He loose his gripped from the sword as he whispered his last breath.

As Daniel dropped, Zenki already stood up and smiled while wiping the blood from the cut he got because of the shock waves from Daniel's attack. He didn't plan everything properly. If he make even just a little mistake or miscalculation he would die, not having the chance to defend himself.

Luckily, he have the character of a great assassin. As he thought about the situation he heard a voice inside his head.

"New Talent Aquired - Assassins Instincts - now you've really became a real assassin, this talent will help you perfect techniques used by assassins. After you perform a move and understand how it works you will easily master the technique."

"New Talent Acquired - Immediate Calculations - as an assassin you have to quickly analyze the situation and improvise a move to win the battle. This talent grants you the ability to think fast in dire situations. You will also receive INT (+1) every level up, and INT (+2) every Job Transitions."

This talents is common among the Assassin Class. Although its common, an assassin will only get it by levelling up to Level 10-15 without near death encounters. But Zenki already have it in Level 4, which proves his talents as an assassin. And also prove his bad luck encountering near death situation at this early age, his only 22 years old yet he almost died more than a hundred times already.

He arrived in the first dimension late because of poverty, they couldn't afford the payment for his First Job transitions. In Job Transitions you have to hold a certain "weapon" and a piece of skin from monsters before you teleport in the first dimension. For a normal assassin you have to hold dagger, for swordsman a sword, for medic a medicine or bandages, for mage an amulet, for marksman a bow, and for tankers a shield. The piece skin provides attributes, for Zenki he had a normal rabbit skin which provides agility.

After checking his new talents he quickly pulled the the corpses to the side of the cave. He's planning to turn their bodies including the Dragonoids body into ashes. He couldn't clean the blood on the ground so he will have to move out. He's planning to go to the northern mountains, cold mountains is good for his training and it wil greatly improve his agility.

But before he burn the corpse, he quickly looted them. He transferred a total of 256 credits from their credit wallets using their own fingerprints as verification, added with his 14 credits he now have a total of 270 credits. He also got a katana, he also saw a spare sword and short daggers but he doesn't fancy those as it will just hinder his travel. He doesn't have a storage ring. If its those loot from the monster, it would be stored on his consciousness so he could summon it anytime.

He packed some clothes, some medicine and bandages he got from his foes, condiments as he only planned in hunting for food, his wallet, the katana some other weapons such his old dagger, and some ther necessaries he need. After packing his things he gathered a lot of dried woods and sandwiched the corpse inside after throwing his torch in a pile of dried grass.

Slowly the fire ate the wood as it get as big as his small hut. He looked at the smoke engulfing the sky making it grey. Wind blows making the smoke make sway and bring a smell of burned meat.

He looked at his wooden Hut, wearing a melancholic expression while reminiscing his experience in this place he called home. In this place he got robbed, he got beaten, he felt hunger, he shed tears and even blood, but this is a place where he lay his tired body. This the place where he overcomed hunger and fear. This also the place where he learned to strive and fight for survival.

The days he spent in this place may not be the longest but this the place is where he learned how to became a real man. He shed his tears as it tickles his swollen face from the fight earlier. He wore 'Goodbye for now' face as he turn his self back sneaking to the forest.

"Hey, where is George and Daniel?" ask a man in a leather armor.

"I don't know? I think they're assigned to kid that leaves near a cave?" answered a woman with a busty chest.

"Yes, but it's already 3 and they probably arrived their before noon. So how come they're not here yet?"

"Yeah! The burly man said that only 2 people live here at east, for this part coated with a lot tress."

" Yeah... wait... look there's smoke!?" the man in leather armor pointed the at the sky.

"Oh no! That's direction where the kid lives. They're might be endangered!... Hurry let's go!" They rushed to the forest going through thick bushes and annoying trees.

As they arrived, they saw a huge campfire near the small wooden Hut. In the air they could smell burned meat tickling their noses. The man in leather approached the campfire and commanded the girl "Gwen, use your spell to subdue the fire!"

"Yes" she hurriedly cast her spell to turn the fire off. After a few minutes the fire calmed down and finally turning off. Gwen shed the blood coming from her nose as she collapsed. Luckily, the leather armored guy is right beside her catching her before she completely fall.

"Don't worry about me, I'm just exhausted" she said with weak voice. The man nodded as he gently put the girl on the ground. He drew his sword and thrust it to the wood making way to get a better view on what's under it. The man opened his eyes wide as he saw two human corpses and snake like corpse having only its burned skull and bone remaining. He then run and checked the inside of the Hut.

As he hurried, he notice a lot of blood on the dry land proving that a battle occured not a long time ago. He slammed the door open only to see no one, he stared at the girl with grief expression.

"We're f*cked up!"

At this moment Zenki already arrived at the borders of the Moon Lake Forest, he sighed as he look at the distant mountains and a certain mountain covered in white snow. This is where the real journey begins!
