Reavers

"Hey Skully, you said Ashnakara was named after the four goddesses, but why did that granny say something else?" Jay asked Skully as he walked around the village looking for Talia.

"I... don't know master. But there is one thing I am sure of, and it is that everything written in the red grimoire is true."

"Why do you think so?" Jay asked since he did not even know how to read the writings on the red grimoire and let Skully do it for him.

"This red grimoire is written by the greatest vampire lord of all time. Of course there won't be any false data within it."

"Greatest vampire lord?" Jay was starting to become curious since he never interacted with Skully this much before, besides the time he inquired about blood magic.

"Yup. The Vampire Lord, Vladimir."

Jay decided to remember the name since he was pretty sure he and this 'Vladimir' guy would meet sooner or later due to the planar wars.

...

After walking around, Jay saw Talia and her bear cub near the farming area of the village. The two of them were currently helping out the farming women plant some seeds and tow the soil.

"Miss druidess!" Talia immediately saw Jay and ran towards him.

"Please stop calling me that. Calling me by my name is fine." Jay said since it felt really weird to be called as such.

"Oh, okay then." Talia smiled and Jay led her to a nearby bench.

"I just wanted to say thanks for the stuff you did for me the past day."

"What stuff?" Talia asked.

"The wooden house, the food, bringing me over to your village, and so on." Jay said and said farewell to Talia.

"Will we see each other again?" Talia asked and looked at Jay.

"Maybe."

...

Meanwhile, just near the village...

"Damn. My body feels so heavy..."

Toran was currently resting on a tree. He was beat up all over due to the events that happened at the Shurym Plane. The reason he was here was because during the final moments of the Shurym Plane's existence due to the Divinity Seal getting blown up, Shurym suddenly tossed him and Ashara to the gateway portal the wolves and the Darkkonians used.

In truth is, Toran did not even know what plane he was in right now. All he knew that he needed time to recover.

"Damn it! Why isn't my Blood Well activating!" Toran said with a pained expression since he cannot even use his blood magic to recover himself.

After a few minutes of resting, Toran suddenly heard faint noises coming nearby, as if someone was approaching. Toran decided to hide and when he saw where the noises came from, he started to get chills all over his body.

There were ten women wearing a full set of black armor that covered them from head to toe. Their armor complemented the curves of their body and each of them had a black sword on their backs.

"What power! Just what kind of plane am I in right now?" Toran asked himself and hoped these ten women won't notice him hiding within the bushes.

"This job is so boring."

"I know right? Hunting down villages is too easy."

"I wonder what our mistress is planning?"

"Who knows? The order given to us was to loot every village we spot in the Evergreen Forest and offer sacrifices to the Goddess of Evil."

The ten women continued their random chattering as they walked past Toran and went towards the direction of the village.

Just as Toran thought he was safe, he suddenly felt a knife in his throat and something hard pushing his back.

"You know that eavesdropping on women is a wrong thing to do right? I wonder how the hell a male demon like you arrived to our world?"

The knife inched closer to Toran's throat and drips of blood flowed down his neck.

"Please don't! I am just an unlucky fellow who got lost! I have a family!" Toran quickly pleaded for his life since he knew he stood no chance against any of the women around him. He cannot even use the tiniest bit of his blood magic.

"Is this female demon related to you?" The woman behind Toran said as she threw Ashara in front of him. Just like him, Ashara was also in a pathetic and beat up condition.

"Toran..." Ashara tried to speak but the moment she looked at the woman that was tormenting Toran, she suddenly got terrified and stopped speaking.

"Relax. I am not going to kill the both of you. I am just going to give you both a really important piece of advice." The woman said as she released Toran and kicked him, causing him to be thrown beside Ashara.

"Your magic is useless here. Good luck my little demons."

After saying this, the woman joined her companions as they continued moving towards the village.

...

--- Zena's Village

"Leader, is it really wise for you to send her away? We could have helped her..."

Talia was currently speaking to Zena while they shared a meal near the village's blacksmith, where Tania was currently working.

"If the goddesses really wanted 'her' to go to this 'Sacred Mountain,' then Bevelona City is her best chance at finding the place. Not even our own granny sage knows about this place."

Just as the two of them were enjoying their meal and some small chat, three booming sounds of horns was heard throughout the village.

"Everyone, back to your homes!"

Zena immediately shouted on the top of her lungs and released her Spirit Power. Black smoke covered her body and an illusory image of a black cobra appeared on her back.

"Talia, go with your sister and hide!"

The moment Zena was the only one left outside, with all of the villagers hiding at the cellars of their homes...

"For the Goddesses!"

The eleven black armored women shouted in unison as they walked around the village and the moment they spotted Zena, they encircled her.

"Tell me little dove, do you think all of you will remain alive after this?" A black-armored woman said as she wielded her black sword and pointed it at Zena.

"Fucking reavers." Zena said as she spat on the ground and rushed towards the one pointing her sword at her.

"What a pity..."

...

Oblivious to the happenings at the village, Jay was currently on the way towards Bevelona City. While walking, he was currently using his Spirit Power and testing it out.

~Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...

Jay jumped on the trees and glided back to the ground easily.

"It's just like when I am under the effects of Normal Blood Magic. So if my body is covered in this sparky blue smoke, my physical capabilities are enhanced..."

Then suddenly, just as Jay was on his way, a bear cub suddenly ran towards him at full speed and hugged his right leg.

"What the... aren't you Cubsy? Why are you following me?"

When Jay looked at Cubsy, he saw that it was persistently hugging his leg and his pants was starting to get wet.

"Are you crying?"

Cubsy looked at Jay with its teary eyes and tried its best to speak in human tongue.

"Tal... Talia... village..."

"Don't tell me..." Jay had a bad premonition when he saw Cubsy acting this way. He immediately ran back to the village with Cubsy riding his back.
