Trudging uphill, perspiration glistened on his forehead, each droplet an emblem of his exertion.
Methodically, he wiped away the sweat, allowing himself a brief respite to survey the skeletal remnants of a world long past.
Breaking the silence, he called out, "Azia, fancy a game to pass the time?"
With a digital hum, Azia's voice resonated, tinged with synthetic curiosity. "What kind of game do you have in mind, Lando?"
"Eye spy, with my little eye," Lando paused, his gaze sweeping the desolate horizon. Given the stark surroundings, options were limited. Nevertheless, he chose, "Something green."
