"Are you pregnant, Laurene?" I was shocked by the question and choked on my coconut juice.
We were outside the University, surrounded by various street foods. As I tried to stop coughing, I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand. I carefully threw the plastic cup I was holding into a nearby trash can. I took my handkerchief from my pocket and wiped my hands.
"Do you have the same brain as Dalcy? Why do you both have the same question?" I replied, trying to hide my surprise.
"Well, you've been really moody these past few days. Didn't you say you had a fight with Zairon and you're not talking, so you're staying at your grandma's place?"
"I just missed my grandma's cooking, and as for Zairon and me, I just got irritated. Maybe it's because of what happened to us."
"Have you not had a taste of him?" she joked.
I threw my handkerchief at her. "Watch your mouth, Jazz! I'm not thinking about that, okay?"
