Kuropachi

If you had any ability in the world, how would you use it? Will you kill someone? Save someone? Be a hero? Destroy the world? No matter which decision you make, there will always be a consequence that is karma. This is the story of a boy who carries the weight of that karma and, for the sake of what he believes in, will never stop fighting. But as for how long that will last and how far he will go, hehehe, I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

2.6: The

Konin sighed, looking up at the dark sky. Tiny clouds littered the air, and the moon had already taken its seat in full view.

Konin had left the bustling city and wandered aimlessly into the quiet estate of people's homes; houses as far as you could see and street lights bringing about a bright illumination.

He brought his head back down. "What are you doing?"

"Ugh." A voice shuddered from behind him, "I was trying to suprise you..." Tenya said disappointedly as Konin looked back at him.

"And why would you do that?"

"Because we're friends, of course, that's what friends do!"

"..."

Konin just sighed, and then they began to walk together for a while, just rambling about pointless things. Tenya was smiling and laughing while Konin only giggled a bit and maintained his calm demeanour.

"Hehehe, it's been a while since we've gone on a walk together," Tenya said cheerfully.

"Yeah, it's nice every once in a while." Konin said as he stretched. "Too bad....I wish it could've lasted longer."

A tall man stepped one foot out of the darkness of the street corner and into the street light. Step after step, his height seemed to grow taller and taller.

He had a slim, muscular build and wore only shorts, no clothes on his upper body, or shoes on his feet.

"You wish it lasted longer?" The man said as he laughed. "You really are a strange kid."

"Ah, so that explains why it's so quiet; they evacuated everyone in the area," Tenya said. They must have a lot of authority to pull that off. He thought to himself.

"Mmhmm." Konin brought out his knife.

"And I'm guessing you're the second one?" Tenya asked as he looked behind him. Another man stood there. The two men stood at the centre of both ends of the road.

The tall man had red hair tied into a ponytail. The other man was average heighted with green bushy hair and wore a brown leather jacket over a red shirt, with cargo pants and trainers.

"You're talking like we're the villains here." The green haired man said.

"So you're the heroes?" Tenya giggled.

"And I don't think it's a good idea to pull knives at us." Looking down at Konin's hand.

"Self defence," Konin replied, not taking his eyes off the tall man.

Tenya turned fully to the green haired man.

The tall man got into a grappling stance, his eyes glimmering. "Child murderer, it seems you and your accomplice don't want to be taken in easily." A smile grew on his face

Tenya was smiling, too. Hands of different sizes grew around the green haired man, all aimed at the 2 boys. "You both sure about this?" He asked.

"Ready?" Konin whispered to Tenya as they stood back to back. Getting his guard up.

"Always." Tenya replied, getting into a rushing stance.

Konin took a deep breath and counted.

"3,

2,

1..."

And in a second, the 2 boys switched targets. Konin, swiftly throwing his knife directly at the shorter man's head and Tenya thrusting his body at full speed at the taller man, forcing his body to drive far back as they both gripped each others hands with a powerful force. Both of them smiling at each other like deranged beasts.

Konin's knife broke through the hands, shattering them apart like broken sculpture as its sharp tip thrusting towards the man's neck at a tremendous speed.

The man moved swiftly to the side, narrowly evading it, but immediately as his eyes could trace back the blade that was still flying perfectly in mid-air, a hand grabbed it.

The next thing he saw was blue hair, then Konin's face, then a quick slice at his neck with an even greater speed than he used to throw the knife.

And just like that, the fight had begun.
