Chapter 3: Training (part 1 )

After having Megumin in the party we go to the counter to get the reward for the toads and the slime after this I seriously need to get new swords and armour , anyway if my calculation is still with my mind I had defeated 8 toads which resulting 100K eris + the 15K extra and the slime... I don't know they probably don't included it in the quest so Im giving up on the bounty.

"Alright I had confirmed that you had completed the quest killing the toads, here is the bounty for exterminating 8 of it" She said after giving my adventure card back and then giving me a bag of coins and she asked Megumin

"Hello, how may I help you ?" I then said

"Yeah, we want to register as a party for now" I look at Megumin before smiling at her

"Ah, I see wait here I need to get some paper to fill out "

*Skipping to after that finished*

"So Megumin do you want to go to the inn I'm staying or the stable?" I teased her and seeing how expression changed I think it somehow work.

"OF COURSE THE INN, though if you don't mind getting me a room " She said the last part like a whisper that only people close to her will heard and then she asked me

"Oh yeah now that I remember what is your name I don't remember you telling me after I introduce myself earlier?" Oh yeah what is with me and the name problem now that I remember I still didn't now the counter lady name frick can't just call her that but I'll just ask her tomorrow.

"Well, my name Yaginuma Kyuso just call me Yagi if you want though I prefer Kyuso more"

"Alright then Kyuso I, Megumin the ArchWizard wielder of Explosion magic will now upgrade you to her friend" She said with the chunni type of language that only she could fully understand .

"Now that you said like that I feel like you probably got a self proclaim rival that you don't deem worthy enough as a friend " I said really hoping that what I said as a joke AND STAY as a joke

"Yeah, about that...." She seem rather down when she said that so I guess that she really are like that but it's not like I'm gonna romance her right here right now or something so I should refrain from being way too close and open to her for now at least.

"It doesn't matter anyway want to go to my room or yours cause I need to see something first after getting into the inn" I asked because I assume that people here doesn't have status magic like me so they need Adventure card to see their stats and skills.

"Hmm, how about yours and we talk later" Fine I really am tired already but I still had to check my stats. The walk to to the inn is rather uneventful as both of us didn't say anything and as far as a walk to the inn and getting Meg a room first it was over quickly after and as I lead her to my room I could feel her somewhat flustered face enter and then we sat on the bed I spoke up.

"Alright tomorrow is a free day as I need to get used to my current strength and I want to spend my points on useful skills so you can just do whatever you want but first I need to check your Adventure card first." after I said that silence fill the room for a moment but it eventually broke as Megumin hand me her card and I also give her my card for some reason.

'Her stats isn't that amazing though she got Magic around the same as me but that's before I level up after killing those toads I must had gone to at least be lvl 5 ,yeah probably ' I said that in my mind and while I was thinking about what to do with extra stats I missed Megumin having a 100% not calm and composed reaction seeing my card.

*Megumin POV*

After a only a few weeks in my career I'm totally broke my money is already gone which make me go to the stable as some sort of shelter left not to mention that all the party I join kick me out after hearing about my 'disability' after using my one and only spell as I'm loyal to the Explosion skill

because other skill isn't worthy enough for me while that used to be no problem right now I hadn't eaten for 3 straight days and because I am still can't join others I can't get food . Anyway while I was going out to cast Explosion I was greeted with yelp from a guy I noticed is tripped and getting chased by a slime .

"HEY YOU OVER THERE CAN YOU HELP KILL THIS SLIME?!" the guy said .

I turn around and ready myself to cast Explosion.

"Well you owe me for this" I said then start saying my carnation

"Darkness blacker than black and darker than dark,

I beseech thee, combine with my deep crimson.

The time of awakening cometh.

Justice, fallen upon the infallible boundary,

appear now as an intangible distortions!

I desire for my torrent of power a destructive force:

After I said that I immediately collapse to the ground and then the slime turned to ash after getting caught up within the the spell radius . I then hopefully can get the guy carry me to the town so I start asking for help but it seems that he was probably thinking about what just happened I then increase my voice to get his attention which did get his attention to me .

"Yes, how can I help you?" he said .

After actually seeing his face I blushed a little but I didn't think that the guy notice . I mean he got a nice not too long haircut and his height and face fit perfectly and so is his hair colour which is black almost identical to mine.

"Can you bring me back to the the town I can't move after I use my spell" I said and grateful that I fell on my face to hide my expression from him. And then he started coming closer to hold me up.

"Yeah , sure anyway what's your name " he asked and then with my usual autistic I answer him with my introduction that I always use when I try to join other party.

"I'AM MEGUMIN, THE WIELDER OF EXPLOSION MAGIC AND THE NUMBER 1 IN THE CR-"when I was about to get to the most important part I was cut off by him

"Alright Megumin ,I really am happy and grateful that you help me but can you just use some other

spells I mean you had to have other spells right that use less mana?" he said and yes , while I'm able to use Explosion I can't use other spells because I don't need one, so I answer him then.

"There is no more worthy magic other than Explosion spell that is both destructive and powerful"

"But I know you must had enough mana for Explosion but you realize that you are completely worthless and vulnerable to attack if you failed to finish off the enemies right ? Also you might as well other monster with how loud the spell is." he said that and when I was about to reply to him he used some sort of skill that let him moves fast and we are able to get in town just after a few minutes of him running .

"Alright here is the town where do you live cause I'm pretty sure you won't be able to walk for awhile" he asked me and in which I answer him with a kind of depressing voice.

"Well....it is at the Guild stable as I don't have enough money to go to an inn or foods" I said trying to have his pity maybe he'll let me in his party even for awhile.

"Hold up you got a powerful spell why didn't anyone team up with yo-,oh yeah nevermind they probably left after you cast you first and last explosion." he said that , the bastard might as well let me down now but I remember that he owe me a favour so I try to make myself into his party,.

"Oh, but don't worry as I'm now in your party I'll probably not suffer as much anymore as you will help me back after quests with needed my EXPLOSION and we'll make some good amount of money" I said and even if refuse I can just blackmail him , he also probably think that as he hesitated for a moment then he accept.

"Fine welcome to the party Megumin" he said with a not so happy face.

Well it was a good thing that he even let me in though so I'm not gonna ask him about it. Anyway he and I was going to cash in the reward for the Giant toads quest he was on before after he got the bounty he said that I will be going to the inn he was staying and after he got me a room he lead me to his room as he need to talk to me like he said earlier.

"Alright tomorrow is a free day as I need to get used to my current strength and I want to spend my points on useful skills so you can just do whatever you want but first I need to check your Adventure card first." after he said I really don't want to give it to him at first but I eventually give him mine and for some reason he also gives his and his stats was schocking

It was basically like that of course I could see his shocked expression when seeing my card and I really was about to put the Kyuso points into Explosion until I see a rather weird skill Status? Like maybe seeing their stats without the card

"Kyuso what is this Status skill I haven't seen it around even when I was at the academy ?" I asked him

*Back to My POV*

"Oh, yes that skill allow me see my stats without the adventure card but the card can still be usable as I still haven't found out on how to get skills using the Status Magic alone or maybe change class I don't really know because I haven't been here for a long time " I said that as I give the card back to Megumin but she still won't give me mine.

"Oi, what are you trying to do HEY STOP DON'T PUT IT IN EXPLOSION YET! " I yelled at her because she really was about to put points into Explosion it was really exhausting already having one Explosion maniac and we haven't go to a real party missing yet.

"Oh c'mon you had more than enough mana for Explosion what is the harm to make it more powerful? " She asked looking cute fack I might as well check my stats now

"Well at least let me check my stats first " I forcibly take the card from her hand as my strength is far superior to her. When I'm checking my card I see that It as level 9 with a TON of points and it seems my stats rise by 5 every level I'm gonna be so Op after this.

"No wonder you want to put it in Explosion I've got ton of points might as well put it in other6 as well. I start tapping into my card.

"Yeah that should be enough anyway Me gum in as I confirmed what your class is and your stats I need you to go back to your room and sleep because we want to go gear up tomorrow." As I said that she let out a yawn.

"No I'm sleepy I might as well sleep here you won't mind right? "

"I DO mind but if you insist I should allow i-"as I was about to finish my sentence Megumin jumped at me in a cuddle style then force me to the bed nothing really happened actually except that I was feeling really weird as I never sleep with a girl before, my mom isn't included though . I eventually fall into a deep slumber sleeping while holding Megumin unconsciously hope that she won't mind after she woke up tomorrow though.
