Chapter 113 Prodigies Battle

Three months later.

Konoha.

It was another normal day in the village, the sun hanging high at the clear blue sky; the flow of people at the streets normal.

But this seemingly normal day took a turn as people of the village witnessed something out of ordinary, shocked look on every face that witnessed it.

"Aren't they shinobi from Hyuga clan… and not just them… Nara, Inuzuka, Akimichi and shinobi from other clans as well"

"It's big news and it's a good news, finally some sane shinobi to regulate crimes"

The people witnessed shinobi from Hyuga and other clans of the village donning the uniform of leaf police force which was only under uchiha in the past, truly shocked and happy.

No one truly liked the attitude of uchiha and the way they handled crime but shinobi from other clans were mostly easy to talk and deal with, especially the ino-shika-cho liked most in the village for their humbleness.

So seeing them donning the leaf police force uniform relieved the villagers as finally they won't have to just deal with the arrogant uchiha anymore.

Patriarch Residence.

"He just keeps exceeding my expectations everytime; I didn't really expect him to complete his promise in just three months."

Fukashi and Fugaku sat before each other in the tatami room as the former couldn't help but praise the newly appointed hokage, an acknowledging look on his face.

"Yes and what is even more surprising is that the elders hardly showed any resistance to these orders; I was expecting them to create some trouble at least"

Fugaku acknowledged his father's words and shared what he found really surprising.

"I'm pretty sure third hokage was the one who stopped them; the day he stepped down and appointed kazuki as hokage all I saw in his eyes was guilt of his actions in the past"

"He wouldn't want people who he granted power to harm konoha even more; what danzo did with the power he was granted by third hokage, I'm pretty sure you know it very well"

"Hn!"

After a little thought Fukashi shared his opinion on why there was no resistance shown by the elders as Fugaku nodding agreed with his thoughts as that was most likely the case.

"Anyways just assimilating other clans into leaf police force won't help uchiha integrate with the village and we have to change the attitude of our shinobi as well; we can't ignore the fact that the hate of villagers towards us was not solely because of leaf police force but our superior attitude towards others also played a big part"

"Only when uchiha are accepted by the common people; only then will there be a hope of a hokage from us"

Fukashi's face showed a look of longing as the long lasting wish of most of the clan members was to see the face of an uchiha carved up at the hokage mountain, one of the founders of the village finally achieving what they deserve at least once.

At the bank of the lake a fight seemed to be going on as around four figures watched from the sidelines while standing on top of a tree.

Swish!

"Rasengan!!"

The figure with yellow hair and blue eyes leaving a yellow flash appeared above the man with brown hair and smashed the head sized spinning ball of chakra in his right hand towards him.

"Wood Style! Wood Barrier Technique!"

BOOM!!!

But just when the ball of chakra was about to strike Nawaki right on his back, from the ground under numerous blocks of wood rose up and in less than a second enveloped nawaki completely, the chakra ball hitting it next moment and an explosion setting.

Thud!

Shards of wood flew everywhere and from the dust blown around from the explosion a figure flashed out.  

Clink!

Appearing at some distance from the explosion Nawaki with dust on his face and attire took a deep breath but didn't get the time to take a second as he froze suddenly, a kunai placed on his neck.

"I win again, Nawaki-Senpai"

The words fell in his ears and his eyes traced behind Minato standing behind him holding the kunai placed on his neck, right next to his left leg a modified kunai with black markings stuck in the ground.

"Argh! You are just too quick to react"

Cursed Nawaki with a frustrated look on his face, despite having sparred with minato for years now he still couldn't react to his speed and has rarely defeated him.

"Is the legendary wood release so easy to best, Tsunade?"

The four who watched the battle were none other than the Sannin and Kushina, Jiraiya with a slightly confused look asking Tsunade next to him.

Wood Release, a power which was able to put the warring states era to an end couldn't be as weak as he had just witnessed.

"Nawaki doesn't possess the same vitality as grandfathers so his wood release is a lot weaker than his, but if used wisely it can still be a very weapon"

Answered Tsunade his doubt as more than a year ago she had noticed the difference between the wood release of Hashirama and Nawaki.

(A.N: - Nawaki's wood release is stronger than yamato though, if we are to categorize it let's say just as there is three tomoe sharingan ,mangekyo, eternal mangekyo and rinnegan, Yamato is three tomoe, Nawaki's wood release is equal to an ordinary mangekyo, hashirama's wood release is equal to rinnegan)

Two chapters today
