After meeting Rutelae and forming a partner contract with him, we began walking through the forest while chatting. Well, I was the only one who is walking since he is now able to fly again.

We were going to leave the forest by taking the Safe path that Senoki informed me, avoiding any beast on our way.

While we were moving, I began sharing my full story to him. About my previous life, how I died, get reincarnate, my ten days in a laboratory, until I meet him. Basically, I told him everything he needs to know, except about Senoki and M.

I will tell him about Senoki in the future, just not now. As for the topic about M and the truth about this world, Well, that depends, if he asked me "who is M?".

No need to add more shocks to him, he is already still in a suprise state about me being reborn again from another world, and about my new race.

[So, are you still able to take a poop or a pee like human?]

Huh, after my full explanation about my story, he began throwing question after question at me. From asking about my old world Earth, to "How is my new body works". Although I don't mind him asking me alot, but that was until his questions became more sensitive.

I use sound magic so that I don't hear his next question.

Just what the heck is wrong with him? How did he went from asking normal question to...that Kind of question?

[We are close to exiting the forest.] I tried to dodge his question.

I used magic boost to increase my speed then dashed forward, leaving Rutelae behind.

Not long after, we were finally outside the forest. It took only three hours to reach here from the Deep area.

'Maybe I should have used space magic instead.'

That way, it will only take one hour, but I need to save more mana.

[Wow!]

Rutelae looked at the scene in front of him with amazement. A wide green field that makes the landscape looks beautiful. I kept walking forward, heading straight to the big city that's near the border, that I can see it from here.

Rutelae was following next to me while enjoying the scenery around us. I too did the same, but I was also looking at the map.

Some hours later, we arrived at the city gate, without encountering any carriages, adventures, merchants, or bandits on our way. Not until now, I can see multiple people going in and out through the city gate. Humans, demi-human, beastmen, and Kegem.

And it looks like there is a line of people in front of the gate. Fortunately, it was short, and it didn't take long for my turn.

One of the guards who was a middle age man with brown hair approach me.

[Identification card please?] He stritch his right hand towards me.

[Sorry sir, I don't have one yet. I was told I can make one here.]

He looked at me up and down, scanning my body and clothes completely.

[I see... then you must be from the village?]

He think I came from one of the villages that is near here . I don't want to lie but, one of the villages is actually near the Laboratory, so...

[More or less, but I do have this.]

Taking out a small iron card from my storage ring, I showed it to him which he took it. What I gave him was an entry permit card to the city. It's the one the Professor used when he came here nine years ago. The guard used his mana to inspect the card before looking at me.

[I'm Sorry, it's already been expired six years ago.]

I already know about that.

[Then, is it possible to renewal its period again?]

He gave me a nod.

[It is possible, but it will cost you one large silver.]

[That's fine, I would like to use it again for two years.]

I did bring some money that I got it from the professor's treasure box. It wasn't too much since he used most of it to buy a bunch of stuff for the machine and others.

[Follow me then.]

We then went inside the wall through a wooden door that was next to the gate.

I looked around the room which was not small, about 10x12m². I watched the guard putting the card that I gave him inside a magic device that looks a little similar to a printer scanner. He then began pressing some buttons on it.

[What is he doing?] Rutelae, who is floating near him asked. His eyes were locked on the device.

I'm the only one who can see and hear him since he is using his spirit form. I answered through his thoughts, which was one of the abilities of the partner contract.

"He is renewing the card's period, so that I can use it again to enter the city."

[I see.]

Moments later, the guard took the card out of the device and gave it back to me.

[Here you go.]

[Thank you.]

I looked at the card which now has some words written on it. There was a symbol of a two swords with wings on the top left corner.

"Entry Permit To Saif City"

"Time Expired: 1:18:50"

[You said you want to make your ID card?] The guard asked me.

[I did.]

He then pointed at a crystal tablet that was laying on a table.

[Then please, but your hand on the magic tablet.]

I placed my right hand on it, but nothing happen.

[Now, I am going to ask you some questions, and I'll need you to answer them honestly.]

I gave him a nod. He then began asking me some questions while writing the answers on a piece of paper. The crystal tablet is a magic device that can be used as a lie detector. People of this world use them for interrogation or in making an ID cards. The device glows when the person who touches it tells a lie.

The guard was only asking me about some basic information, like my full name, my age, where I came from, jobs, and any bad records I might have done in the past. Fortunately, the device didn't react and I was able to get the green light. But he did get confused when I told him that I came from the Black mountains. I then explained to him that I was born and raised there by my Grandfather and my teacher because of some unique circumstance, and that I wasn't allowed to leave until I was ready.

The guard then bought my story because the device didn't react. After finishing, he went to the same device he used before and began pressing multiple buttons.

[Wait, you didn't mention anything about having a teacher there.] Rutelae who was by my side was confused.

"I meant my Skill, one of my skills is the ability to teach me about this world."

[...Huh?] He still has a confused look on his face.

"Remember how I was able to know a lot about the spirits and other things, despite being new to this world."

[...oh yeah, I remember you said that you got that information from your Teacher, so it was your skill.]

"That's right."

Moments later, the guard came to me with a platinum card on his hand. He then placed a small knife on the table and explained to me that I need to put a drop of my blood on the card, in order to finish making the ID. I did what I was told and took the knife to make a small cut on my index finger, and pressed it on the card. Next thing happen, the card started to glow and words began to appear on it.

[Here is your ID card.] He gave it to me.

I looked at my ID card along with Rutelae. On it was written my full name, race, age, village, and Job.

The name of the village is "Losikan" which located in the Black mountain. But that village was abandoned 17 years ago. As for my job, it's a Hunter.

[Why did he write your race human?]

"Because I look like human."

[Then shouldn't you tell him to correct it?]

"No need, it's better if people think I'm human."

Although I am not a Full human, but this body was made using the genetics genes of the Professor's DNA, so basically I am a sub human.

I watch the guard writing something on another paper while talking to me.

[The ID card is one silver coin, adding the two years for the entry permit, that would be two large silver and one silver coins in total.]

I took the money from my dimensional storage and handed it to him. After that, I was allowed to enter the city.

[Waow, so this is what a big city looks like.] Said Rutelae with amazement.

The city may look big, but compare it to the city kingdom, which was four times bigger, this city size is medium, about 780 km². The buildings, the houses, and the streets were all well-made. I would say it's more developed than the middle age back on Earth. This was the result of having magic in this world that makes the life more easy, and also, the people of this world were not slacking off on using their brains in developing and improving.

There were many people from different races walking around us. Demi-human, Beastmen, Elf, Kegem, Dwarf, and Human.

I walked on the main road heading straight to the Adventure guild that located in the center of the city. And on our way, we pass through a big plaza. Many people and adventurers were buying here and there.

Because the south main road leads from the guild to the south gate, and many adventurers walk through this road, this make it a good spot to attract more customers and adventurers who comes back from the forest.

[This is the first time seeing many people from different races.] Rutelae, who was flying above me commented.

"That because this city is the nearest one to the Mystic Forest, which is a place where many adventurers can make alot of money by hunting and gathering rare plants and stuff. That is why many people like to come here to make a fortune."

Because the Mystic Forest is one of the top places that has alot of mana, and many unique plants, herbs, fruits, animals, beast, and monster are born there. That makes it the best place for farming rare items. And also, the best place for growth and training, after the dungeon.

[Sniff...what is that smell?] I saw Rutelae sniffing the air while heading to one of the food stalls that sells some meat skewers.

His mouth was drooling as he watched the old man who is a human, frying some meat skewers.

I walked to the old man and bought ten of them. I then gave Rutelae seven of it, while I had three on my hand.

"Here you go."

The moment I gave it to Rutelae, the seven meat skewers disappeared from the old man's view. He was confused on what happened to the them. I then showed him my storage ring and explained that I stored them inside.

Looking to my side, I watched Rutelae holding them in both hands while eating them one by one. Another unique ability of the Spirit form is that it allows Rutelae to make the things he touches became invisible to the others. That way, other people won't get freak out seeing some meat skewers floating in the air beside me.

[Mm~ thus us soo delucios!]

"Don't talk while eating, you may get choked." I complaint to him.

"Sorry, my bad, Haha." He replied back using telepathy.

I then continue walking towards the guild while eating the meat skewers that I was holding.

Arriving at the adventure's guild, which was big compared to the other buildings that I saw early, I saw some people coming out and going in.

There was a big sign above the doors written its name.

"Green Peer Guild."

I walked inside and saw many adventurers wearing different armors and clothes, and some were caring different kinds of weapons. The size of the place was close to a great hall. Ofcourse, that wasn't the full building as there was still the underground floor and the larger training ground that is in the back, adding a second floor.

I went to one of the reception counter that was empty and waited. There were other seven more receptionists that was available but they all were engaged with some adventures. I didn't want to wait in line again.

[Excuse me sir, the one here is still on a break-shift.] One of the reception that was on the next side of the counter that I was waiting for spoke to me. She was an Elf with white hair.

[It's okay, I prefer to wait here.] I said with a polite tone. She then went back doing her job.

I then took a small notebook from storage ring and opened it. Normally, if this was a modern era, I would spend my time checking any new information on my phone while waiting.

And since there are no smartphone here, I can only use books as a way to pass the time. By the way, the book I am holding is completely blank. I am actually checking some information in my head and using the book as a cover up, so that the people around me doesn't get any weird thoughts about me standing while staring at the space.

Rutelae on the other hand was flying around the guild, looking at anything that can catch his interest. Before entering here, I told him that he can look around the place because it will be boring for him to wait next to me.

Not too long, the receptionist that I was waiting for had finally came. She was a human with dark black hair and blue eyes.

[Hello sir, how can I help you?]

Putting the book back in my storage ring, I answered her question.

[I would like to register as an adventure.]

[Then I will need to check your identification, and also, you will need to fill your information.]

She took a sheet of paper under the counter and handed it to me with a pen.

I gave her my ID card and wrote down my information. Name again, age, place of birth, class or jobs, specialty or abilities, and any skill I may have.

[Done.] I gave her back the paper.

She looked at the information and began comparing it with my ID. After she finished, she gave the card back to me and then she took a big black crystal ball under the counter and pointed it at me.

[Place your hand on the crystal and pour it with your mana.]

I did what she told me, and began channelling my mana into the crystal. It began to glow blue, and then into green, until its color change to orange. The receptionist was so surprised about this. She looked at me with her eyes wide.

[Your are a rank C?]

[...Yes, is there a problem?]

[N-no no, it just, to be a C rank in magic in a young age is so rare.] She explained.

[Is that so?] I raised one of my eyebrows.

[What does the orange color means?] Rutelae asked beside me. It seems that he finished looking around.

"It means that I have more mana than any other people who are in the same age as me."

[Really? How so?]

Before I could answer, the reception interrupted my thoughts.

[Please, excuse me sir, I will be right back.] She then left with the paper sheet and went to talk to someone in the back.

She isn't going to mention about my information and magic to the guild master or something like that, right? It will be a troublesome for me.

Thank goodness, she is only looking for the examiner.

"Oh right, so basically-"

I then began explaining about measuring a person's mana by colors and ranks. Normally, the people in this world whose age are 14 like me can only reach E rank in magic, and few people can reach D in that age. As for me, reaching level C in magic is not hard, as long as you know how to do that.

Magic power level are measured by the amount of mana that a person can store in his MP. And this crystal ball is a magic device that can measure the mana capacity.

Blue color means your rank is F, green means E, yellow is D, orange is C, red is B, and lastly, purple is for rank A.

Above that rank is S which is non color. If my mana capacity was S rank, then the crystal ball might have exploded. No, that was wrong, it might have broken, or shattered to pieces.

And giving my understanding about mana, magic, and how to increase it faster in a short time, it wasn't too hard for me to reach from F rank beginner, to C rank mastery.

"Have you ever wonder how can someone small like the elders spirit are able to store alot of mana."

[No, I haven't.]

"That because most of them have a purple color mana. Someone who has a purple mana means they have a lot of mana."

[Really? But I still don't get it how.]

"It's like this, the original mana color is blue right? if you have more than 10L of mana, it will turn into 1L green color mana."

It's more like this:

10L blue mana = 1L green mana.

10L green mana = 1L yellow mana.

10L yellow mana = 1L orange mana.

10L orange mana = 1L red mana.

10L red mana = 1L purple mana.

So basically, 1L purple mana is about 100,000L blue mana. The amount of mana that I have and can store in my MP is about 13L orange, that's about 13,000L mana.

Still, it's not enough...

[I think I kinda understood now. So it's like, if I have too much mana inside me, my mana pool will make them small by changing its color, right?] Said Rutelae while scratching his head.

"That is correct." But a little close.

While explaining to Rutelae more about mana, someone spoke to me from behind.

[Are you new to this city kid?]

Turning around, I saw a tall middle age man standing in front of me, a demi-human with wolf ears and black hair, and blue eyes. And he was wearing a normal casual clothes, no armors or weapon. So... not an adventure?

A former adventure, and a guild master. 43 years old.

[Yes, I just came today for signing up.] I answered.

[I see.] He stritch his right hand at me, asking for a handshake. I accept it and shook his hand.

[The name is Lex Baron.]

[Xora Levian.]

We both introduce our names.

[Why becoming an adventure?] He asked me again.

[...Because it's way better to get more money.]

He wasn't surprised by my answer and only smiled at me. He looked down at my clothes, trying to check my strength. Too bad I was wearing a cloak that covers most of my body, so he can't see my full body figure or my armors.

But he already shook my hand and was able to tell how much strength I have. And he can still smell some blood and dirts from my clothes. I think I will need to find a way to clean myself from the smells completely.

[Looks like your not a mage, from the way you look.]

[No, I am more like a magic swordsman if that what you are wondering.]

He is right, mages are long rage fighters. They don't get bloody like the swordsman or any other close range fighters when they hunt. This man is one of the experts.

Just then, the reception girl came back in a hurry. She seems like she is a little troubled.

[Sorry for wai- Guild master! do you need something?] She was a little surprised when she saw him here.

[No it's nothing Tina, I just wanted to take some break looking around and happen to talk with this young man.]

Liar, he was actually trying to run away from paper work by joining the examiner. Wait, if I am not mistaken...

[So, is there a problem, you look like you are having some troubles.] The guild master asked the receptionist.

[Actually, I was looking for someone suitable to be an examiner to Mr. Levian, but I couldn't find one. Most of them were busy or on their weekends.] She explained.

Because I wrote down that my Job is a magic swordsman, then my examiner should be a swordsman or a magic swordsman. But it seems no one is available. But then, the guild master spoke.

[Really?] I looked at him with narrowed eyes. I kinda expect something like this would happen the moment I shook his hand.

[Wa- are you sure about this sir?] She asked worriedly.

[Relax, I will be going easy on him. I heard that his magic rank is on rank C.]

[Didn't you see me measuring my mana capacity from the back, Mr. Baron?] I corrected his words.

The Guild master looked a little surprised when I said that. The guy was watching me when I was waiting for the receptionist to come.

[Oh, so you were able to sense me?]

[Not really, I just guest.] I gave him a fake answer.

He stared at me for a moment before laughing out loud, but not so loud to the point his voice attracts all the people in the guild.

[Hahahaha, you are right. I was watching not hearing, sorry about that.]

I raised one of my brows in confusion, what is he sorry for? But looking at the receptionist's expression, who's name was Tina, I think I understand a little about his character.

[Anyway, come with me. We are heading to the training ground.] He spoke to me.

We then began walking behind the hall, to the training ground outside. There, I will be facing against a former rank A adventure.

Let's see what happens when I go all out, hehe.

(Information)

- Partner Contract gives the two parties the ability to share their thoughts and communicate to each other through telepathy. It also help them both know the other one's location.

- When a spirit use their Spirit Form and become invisible like a ghost, they can also do the same thing to any object they touch, like foods, fruits, magic stone, tools, money, etc. As long it's a small object.

- Xora's humanoid body was created and raised by the professor as the father or grandfather. And he was taught by Senoki as the teacher. That is why the crystal tablet didn't react.

- Identification cards "ID" are created by using a magic platinum card and the blood of the owner, so that it can tell who is the true owner of the ID by touching it. If someone tried to used someone else ID card, the card will never show the information written on it.

- Saif city is one of the big cities "not large" that was built near the Mystic forest for the people who want to enter the Mystic forest. It's the best place for the adventures to farm rare items and get experience, after the dungeon.

- Each City has a guild on its own. Small cities has a small guild, big cities has big guild, and large cities like the kingdom has multiple guilds. A town also has a guild. People can only sign up to be an adventure in a big guild. Small guilds only provides quest and mission. Green peer is one of the big guilds that was build in the Saif city by the first city lord "Nucifer Green".

- A person's body can't store too much mana than the limit. But their MP can change the mana they absorb which is Blue color in to small. The size of 1L blue mana and the green or yellow mana are all the same but difference in their amount. Example: person (A) and (B) both have the same size of MP, 100L. (A) can store 100L blue, and (B) can store 100L green mana. Since 10L blue = 1L green, the difference between them are: (A) has 100 blue mana. And (B) has 1000 blue mana/ 100 green mana. (L) stands for Link, used as a unit in measuring the amount of mana.
