Chapter 1

(First Person POV)

"Ughh... so bright," I groaned, shielding my eyes from the blinding light.

"Why is it so bright? Did someone turn on the lights? Maybe it's already morning, let's see," I mumbled to myself, as I slowly opened my eyes.

As my vision cleared, I noticed a silhouette moving towards me.

"What is that?" I wondered, squinting my eyes to get a better look.

Suddenly, my vision returned to normal and I saw a familiar figure approaching, dribbling a basketball.

"Who is that? Why does he look so familiar?" I questioned, trying to recall where I had seen him before.

To my surprise, the young man gathered the ball and jumped straight towards me.

"Why is he jumping? Am I playing basketball?" I thought, feeling a mix of confusion and grogginess.

My instincts told me to move and get out of the way, but I was too disoriented to take any action. I ended up just standing there, raising my hand in a feeble attempt to protect myself.

(Third Person POV)

The crowd erupted in cheers as the young man made a spectacular dunk.

"What a dunk by the ace of Teiko Junior High, Aomine Daiki!" the commentator exclaimed.

"With that play, Teiko extends their lead by 44 points," he continued, emphasizing the dominance of the Teiko team.

The ongoing game between Teiko and Meiko Junior High drew the attention of the crowd. Even at this early stage, it was clear that Teiko was headed for yet another championship.

Looking at the scoreboard, one could easily mistake this for an exhibition game between professional players and middle school kids rather than a championship match. Teiko had established a commanding 44-point lead, and it was only the beginning of the second quarter.

While the score seemed lopsided, the players from Teiko showed no signs of excitement. Their faces reflected a sense of boredom, as if this was just another routine victory. The Generation of Miracles had become so accustomed to dominating that they no longer knew what a competitive game looked like.

Some of them secretly wished for a worthy challenger, someone who could truly match their skills. However, such opponents seemed like nothing more than a fantasy. With their unparalleled talent, no middle school team in Japan stood a chance against them.

As the game progressed, it became evident just how dominant and talented the Teiko team was. They lived up to their reputation as the Generation of Miracles.

Unfortunately for the middle school teams they faced, this would be their last chance to compete against them. For the seniors of Meiko Junior High, it was disheartening to end their middle school basketball career with such a crushing defeat.
