Simon perched on the concrete balustrade of his remote mansion, busy plucking the petals of the flower in his hands one by one. When he heard his servant's question, he smiled, but it was the kind of smile that didn't reach his eyes.
"Why do you think I did it, Orion?"
"Because he wasn't supposed to give himself away when he corrupted the humans during the tea party at Haystone's?" Orion didn't sound sure. He had worked for Simon for more than a decade, yet he could still not be very certain of his assumptions when it came to Simon's reasons for doing things. His master had a strange mind so he believed he should expect the unexpected from him.
