"Sister you know me very well so don't misunderstood my word. I'm just making mother laugh because she is always sad when you are not home. Every day she always look at the window and cry waiting for you" said Shiro solemnly.

Shera's eyes twitch when she heard her brother's words. It seems like during the time she wasn't around, his brother's ability of talking nonsense improve a lot.

"Hey kiddo, who are you referring to?" said her mother with flushed face.

Shera hugged her mother tightly.

"Mom, don't mind him may be he didn't eat his medicine properly earlier. His nonsense improve a lot while I was away" Shera said teasingly.

"Hmmmm ... what do you mean by nonsense? I know you miss her a lot. I heard you scolding father and convincing him to brought Shera back" Shiro said straightforwardly.

Shera smiled at her and walked with her inside of their house. She knew that if she didn't dragged her mother with her, her brother will receive a lot of scolding to her father later for angering her mother. Her father is the best example of a henpecked husband in the modern day. Because her mother loves to complain with their father about them.

"I miss you too Mom" Shera said sweetly.

"I miss you too my baby girl. Did those old men bully you?" Sheriah asked with concern.

"Mother they didn't do that. You know the kind of training a heir would undergo for Carillo and Maximillian. The two families are not just an ordinary family. I have to be strong enough to protect not only my family but those people working under me. If I am weak how am I going to do that" Shera said sweetly to her mother.

Her mother sigh "I hope you really know what you are doing. Accepting that kind of responsibility means you will not be free of deciding things. For every decision you made must be align for the benefits of the two families" she said.

"I know it mother, don't get too stressed out for it" Shera said.

"Take note that even the husband that you will be having in the future must be approved by the two families. Especially the two Elders, Uncle Ling and Uncle Lang, do you understand it my baby girl" asked Sheriah.

"Well I know it too mother. Don't worry I will always follow the two Elders teaching. I know that they care for me honestly so I will not let them down" Shera replied whole heartedly.

"By the way how is your studies?" Sheriah asked.

"I'm having my online class in the island so I never miss any of it. After this vacation I planned to attend class regularly as a fourth year high school. I already finished the training and I passed it. So I can go to school just like the old times. By the way mother the Elders are going to introduce me to our subordinate in the US. They are planning to host a party for celebrating the announcement of the new heir in the family" Shera said to her mother.

"Oh! I remember the ceremony of passing the training. It is one month for now just don't neglect your studies" Sheriah said to her daughter.

"I know mother" Sheriah replied.

"By the way sis your man returned to US the same day that your marriage gets cancelled" Shiro said seriously.

Shera was stunned when she heard her brother's words.

"How did you know?" Shera asked suspiciously.

"One of my friend is her sister's boyfriend. She always tell him about his brother. She loves to brag about his sibling success" said Shiro.

"Just don't mind them. We didn't have anything to do with them. By the way he isn't my man from the very beginning" Shera replied while smiling wickedly to her brother.

"Ok fine whatever" replied her brother while shrugging her shoulder.

"By the way mother I will just go to my room first and change my clothes before we continue our conversation" Shera said.

"Ok but I think you have to rest first then let's talk later" suggest her mother.

Shera hugged and kissed her mother before she goes back to her room. When she entered to her room she was amaze about the cleanliness of it. Her mother really take good care of her room. She get her change of clothes and take a bath first then sit down on her hair dresser while combing her hair. She looked at herself in the mirror and remember her past life. Her family is supposed to die on her wedding day at least for now her family is still fine. She forgot to ask her mother about the driver hired by Lera.

"I hope those two scumbag will be happier by now. Hmmmmp" Shera mumbles to herself. "I have to figure out who are the traitors in my family that caused me the life of my entire family" she said angrily.

She remembered Laurence her former classmate who lose to her during the assessment ranking. She dialed his number taken by one of her bodyguard.

"Hello" a male voice can be heard to the other end.

"Hi Laurence long time no see. So how are you now?" asked Shera.

"Oh! Hello there boss I am actually researching about your whereabouts but no one can tell me where you are. I have a good news for you. I never tell my Dad that you own the shares and work it out. I am honestly unconfident at first but I manage to increase the income of the shares that you leave to me. Thank you very much for trusting me. Honestly I am fed up with my father's scolding that I am worthless. But now I realized that just like you I can create miracles for myself also. I hope you still continue in trusting me for these" Laurence said directly.

Shera smiles after hearing what he said. "Thank you very much for your appreciation. I hope you won't betray me in the future" she said to Laurence.

"I may not be a perfect person but I can guarantee you that I will be loyal to you" Laurence replied.

"By the way just call me if you are facing a very dangerous situation. Do you understand?" Shera replied.

"Ok boss, I will" Laurence replied.

Shera closed her phone and goes out of her room. Her mother saw her getting down on the stairs.

"I thought you are going to rest? Why come here?" Shiro said while eating.

"What a glutton, I'm here to eat I'm hungry already. Now any question dear brother?" Shera replied.

"I'm just asking, why so serious" Shiro said teasingly.

Shera just smile at her brother.

"By the way Shiro, where did the driver before we held the wedding?" Shera asked.

"I don't know I heard from mother that he resigned after the wedding happened but after a week he is found dead in his apartment. Other says that it is suicide because its body is hanged in his house" Shiro said to her sister.

"What!" Shera said with full of surprise to what she heard.

In her past life this didn't happen but how come in this life he gets killed.

"I don't believe he commits suicide if I am not mistaken Lera ordered his men to silence him in case he got caught. What a vicious woman indeed!" Shera mumbles to herself.

"Hey sis, why are you so affected?" Shiro said.

"Your so nosy brother" Shera replied with a smile.

"Hey the two of you why are you arguing?" asked Sheriah.

"Mother don't be like that we are just having a serious talk here" Shiro replied.

"Your sister will get indigestion with your words" Sheriah said to his son.

"Ok fine! By the way sis, can I come with you in the US?" asked Shiro.

"Yes as long as you behave yourself very well" Shera replied.

"Ok" Shiro replied before he returns to his room.

Shera goes to the table and started eating while her mother is sawing.

"Mother, is Shiro said real? Did our former driver died" asked Shera.

"Yes baby girl, your father's subordinate informed him about his connections to other families. He was sent here to us to kidnap any one of you to negotiate for ransom to your father" replied Sheriah.

"He is one of the Dog of that Sebastian woman. Harming our family hmmm….as if she is asking for misfortune" replied her mother angrily.

"Don't worry mother I will protect all of you" Shera replied.

Sheriah smiled at her daughter and hugged her tightly. Her daughter seems different from the moment she wakes up. But it's good because she changed for the better now.

"By the way your grandfather is going back from business trip so prepare yourself to welcome him in the airport, understood?" asked Sheriah.

"Yes mother, grandfather still like when he is young. Full of vigor and energy. Especially when he knows that I accepted the training for heir" Shera replied.
