ACT I : CHAPTER 1

In a land far above the skies that man can see, there lies a realm that serves as the home to heavenly beings. With land bearing the colors white and yellow and the skies illuminated by the phase of the aurora of the sun and stars of the night. Within the realms, there lies the beings known as angels. Each were tasked to a certain job, from a healer to a messenger, a guide to a warrior. All was given the moment they were born. And infamous two were once again seen in the capital city as a voice pierced through the peaceful silence.

"RAPHAELA! WHERE ARE YOU?!" A male voice shouted out, a clear cut from the peaceful village. It was a tall man with dark short black hair cut short with a few long curls that seemed to cover his forehead that resembled a short fridge cut for guys. His skin looked like he had a fading tan and his golden brown eyes shined with constrained annoyance and anger. He was dressed in full black in unzipped black leather, black jeans and black boots, a deep contrast with the normal angelic white that people would usually assume. The sound of giggling and a wisp of blonde hair sprinting away caught his attention as he sprinted after her. This was the typical day in the heavenly realm, Astoria.

For Rapheala, who ran away proudly in a white sundress that resembled the typical angelic wear of a Greek toga that hugged her soft curves with a golden waistband that tightened the dress around her waist and a pair of leather flats with ribbons tied up to her calfs. Her soft blonde hair that shines golden under the light reached past her waist with baby hair decorating her hair and blue eyes that would glow with emotions. She who would always wander away to watch humans from the pond of life, and Mikael, who would be tasked to guard the favored child. It was a typical cycle which would have gone for eons. "Caught you!" His big hands wrapped around her tiny body from behind, trapping her as she laughed. "Come on Mikael! I just want to visit Gabriel on his trips!" Gabriel was another archangel besides the two, he is currently tasked on the human realm right now.

"No. Father has summoned you. We should have been there ages ago yet you wasted time by making me chase you again!" Rapheala turned in his arms, pouted up at him as she puffed out her cheeks. But he was used to her tactics and instead dragged her back. She huffed again but complied. Her strength was nothing against him. After all, Mikael was still the most respected archangel in the realm. Humming, she waved at the passersby as Mikael only looked stoicly forward.

The place where Father sits was at the highest point of the realm, watching both his creations of man and angels. The throne room was glamourous as it was large, resembling what humans would call Greek architecture with its high columns and drapes. Opening the double doors, both archangels knelt before the throne. Before them, sitting imposingly, was a being with skin glowing gold, his face covered by a long white beard that reached his chest, hair wild in all directions. He would look like any other old man if not for the pure power radiating from him.

"You have summoned us Father?" Mikael's rough baritone voice echoed the empty hall save for the three. "Yes, thank you child. Could you please leave Rapheala and I for awhile. This is a matter between us." Mikael furrowed his brows to the ground but nodded, standing up. Rapheala, on the other hand, instead of being cherry like before, she took on a worried look at Mikael's back as he nodded reassuringly at her, trusting Father.

During this exchange, Father, or would normally call himself 'Zues', one of his personae, looked at his two creations. Both Rapheala and Mikael were complete opposites in looks and personality. With Mikael being tall at 6'2" (186cm) and Rapheala at 5'5" (168cm), the top of her head barely just reached his shoulders. With Rapheala, however, she was a wisp of a woman, having all the curves but also retaining her innocence of her outlook on the world. But because of that, he was certain that she would be perfect for this job.

Waiting outside in the great hall, Mikael furrowed his brows at the secrecy as usually he would be informed of any tasks, serving as the right hand and leader of all archangels. His concern grew when the doors opened and out walked Raphaela with a lost look on her face. "Rapheala?" He called out but she just walked past, not looking or answering at him. "Hey!" He gripped her wrist to stop her from walking away. "What happened?" No one had left the throne room with such a look before.

Rapheala bit her lower lips, her mind curching on what mission she was assigned on before deciding that she didnt want to worry her childhood companion and planting a smile on her pink lips. "Its nothing, Mikael, just pondering what Father tasked me."

He furrowed his brows deeper, but let it go. Knowing Raphaela, she would have clammed up if he had pushed for more. "...Okay. Why dont you tell me about your day watching humans before i caught you then?" He knew her reaction before she even showed it. Her entire face brightened as if she had placed the stars in the sky herself and started babbling her observations to Mikael, who only led her away with a neutral look. But if one were to look closer at him, you would see the fond look in his eyes as he stared at her.

But still, something was nagging at him as they walked away. What exactly was the mission that Father sent her on?
